The bed is good had a great night sleep and breakfast was really good to.

The man in front office was nice and polite.

I was disgusted how we were treated lastnite! I found myself 8 months pregnant and fleeing from my hotel room and an extremely arrogant aggressive man in the bar at 11pm at nite! the bar man was little help and clearly didn't want to to upset the much larger man! our room was above the bar which we were not made aware of… my partner went down to ask if they could possibly keep the noise down, I could hear word for word in my room of the abuse he was given back! I was petrified there was going to be a fight, I packed our bag as I did not feel safe staying. We asked for a refund or at least partial refund, we were told on no uncertain terms there was no chance! they couldn't even tell us when the bar would be closed and he had no intention of asking said man to tone it down abit! as we were leaving we were bombarded with more abuse from the man, iv never felt so scared for my own, my unborn child and my partners safety and was truly disgusted at how the bar man dealt with or should I say didn't deal with the situation! might I also add the room was nothing special and not worth the money we were charged. Very dated, broken drawers and not the cleanest.

It's shame to say my experience at this hotel wasn't the best. I went with a group of others and none of us were paticually overjoyed. One of our party changed rooms as the one he got was abysmal. When walking into the hotel their dosn't seem to be many staff working there as the reception often get's left unattended and despite having a bell you sometimes have to wait ages for anyone to come. The room I was given wasn't good it led out to a fire escape and was small and needed updating. What really got me was the way you enter the room instead of the tradional key their is a key code but anyone that's stopped in the room before or has a simular entry could easily have entered my room has the code was simplky the room number a major floor. The bar is not manned and who I assume is the owner simply sat in between the reception and bar most of the night he was theire the whole time we were at the hotel he was friendly enough. Despite the hotel not being great and the rooms awful it's such a shame as the breakfest is pretty decent and the ladys that work in there were lovely especially the one from Yorkshire she couldn't do enough for us and was a real delight I hope the owners recgnise how brilliant she is. All in all would likely not stop here again due to the rooms, lack of staff and general poor condition.

Me and my husband, and my son had a single room, could not swing a cat in. And our room 2 of the windows catches was broken off so we only had one window to open and it was hot out side, carpet pour and needed some t l c. The breakfast staff the lady's were loverly but not the owner he was very stand offish. The step leading up to the entrance was broken, overall won't stop there again, it needs some repairs.

No stars. Booked over a month ago. Travelling alone from overseas. The place was closed! No correspondence from them. Very angry. Had to seek alternate accommodation.

Stay here last night staff make you feel so welcome great bedroom and bathroom was warm in the room deffo recommend.

When we went the staff was good the breakfast was good we had 3 single rooms with bedbugs so we be going again.

Just spent the weekend there full English breakfast was outstanding. Just one complaint my room was next to the lift which was very noisy. Would without a doubt stay again such friendly staff & fantastic atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Had a really comfortable 2 nights at this hotel. Under new management this young couple are striving to make improvements and take feedback and suggestions on board. Having been at a Northern Soul weekender with late finishes they are considering offering a later breakfast for guests. The room was big, the bed comfy, everything was clean and we were more than happy with the room. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. We will most definitely be back next year, this was so close to the venue we went to and a short walk to everything else.

Me and my 2 daughters loved it here. Great location amazing view from the room window at night when all the lights are on out at sea,
The breakfast was really nice good choice of different cereal, fruit, beverages, toast+a full english,
The bedrooms was nice+clean good sizes with ensuite bathrooms my daughters stayed in a twin room+i stayed in a single room (piece+quiet for me lol) fresh clean towels was in our rooms ready, clean bed sheets the bed was really nice I had a great few nights sleep its much more comfy than my bed at home lol,
The staff are so friendly they let me put my mobility scooter in the reception area+put it on charge overnight so I could use it the next day, the entrance was nice and clean love the colour,
The bar was really nice+clean the sofas was comfy loved all the original old posters on the walls my daughters played pool a few times which they loved,
They even sorted the heating out straight away for us it wouldnt work as it was quite cold at night,
We will definatly be staying there again next time we are on holiday 10/10 from me+my daughters.

I stayed here this weekend. I was looked after. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Could have what you liked. Lovely waitress very efficient. Booked again for November!

Stayed one night, reception friendly and helpful, hotel could do with a lick of paint inside and out especially name board. We had room 216 next to lift which we thought would be a bit noisy but no! We didn't have breakfast as it's cheaper down the road. Worst case is the steps to the reception half of them missing (a real health hazard) was disappointed to find the bar closed on our return at 11. Pm. We will not be returning.

Stopped overnight, staff friendly. We arrived late as we had visited a relative in Chapel but no room for us to stop there. Couldn't get any parking but staff were helpful and left car on street until morning. The staff then moved the car at 8.00 due to the traffic restrictions. Breakfast was lovely, and all staff very friendly. I would stop again.

Let's start with the positive
Lovely staff for morning breakfast and nice choice to eat…
Great location. Everything just there. Beach. Arcades. Fun fair. MacDonald.
And then we have
Downstairs decor is good. Reception. Dining room. Bar and social room. And small snug
Lift
Bedroom was big with Separate bathroom. Plenty of cupboard space. Wardrobe and tv
But…
The bedrooms were tired with loose paper. Stains and chipped paint.
The bedding had stains
So did 1 of the towels and carpet.
There was a bit of mould in bathroom
And the rooms smelt old
The view outside wasn't the best
Would I stay again? YES
But think they shouldn't charge as much for the back rooms and they need to spend some money upstairs.

I don't know where to start! Awful parking facilities, unable to use Wi-Fi in the room, no remote for TV (was apparently stolen by previous guests?! ), light outside room not working so had to use torch on phone to put key in door etc, wall paper peeling off the walls, no shower curtain over bath making it tricky to shower and cracks in bath, curtains not big enough to fit the windows AND they were see through, a musty smell in room (damp?! ) and no breakfast included. All this cost us £100 for 1 night! Despite trying to discuss my issues with the management, they were not helpful (didn't seem bothered) although did at least find another curtain to fill the gap in one window. If you're looking for value for money and nice quality, DO NOT stay here!

Cheap, bar and ability to sit outside is good, rooms are very tired but breakfast is ok.

Hats off to bloke who runs it does everything, receptionists cook barman probably does house keeping as well… Fair play son fair play.

An effort has been made to update this hotel, however it is really low standard. Walls are paper thin and we could hear the chap nextdoor snoring. Added to this there was mould growing all over the walls in the bathroom and a whiff of insecticide on the pillows. We were woken 3 times by maids attempting to service our room at 8am. Only advice I can give is to avoid this place — out of a 2 night stay we lasted 12hrs before leaving.

Apart from the waitresses who are friendly and helpful and the food very good I can't say the same for the room. Anyone staying in room 102 I would suggest you asked for different one. This room should not be used as a guest room, the reason being it doubles as a fire exit. There's a fire emergency light which as most people know it's got to be on all the time, trying sleeping with a light on is hard. The bed seems to be 2 mattresses on top of each other. The fire door leading out to the fire escape is not secure there's a gap at the top and at the bottom. (Please note : this is a single room)

Horrible experience from error in booking to being kept up all night with a fan outside. Toilet was tiny and dirty. Couldnt wash with toilet door closed due to being small. Advertises parking only to be told we can park in the roadside disabled bays until 8am. After which we would possibly get a ticket. Flat screen tv… 12 inch stuck in the corner and not possible to watch due to the angle. Booked a sea view. Looked out the window to a brick wall. No one around in the morning to leave the keys when booking out. Bed was needing replaced years ago. Furniture was all painted to a poor standard to match the walls. Carpet heavily stained. Room upstairs floor boards continually creaked when they were walked on. You can also hear there voices very clearly. Never again.

Clean, cheap, and in a good location.

The room was nice then when the toilet started to leak so couldn't use the toilet try ed to report it with no one on the desk then tryer to call the emergency number in the book and no answer so on the morning reported it to the desk and they didn't seam to bother so I won't be staying here again the Wi-Fi only worked at the front desk.

Booked this hotel for me and my husband at the last minute to stay one night — last night. Arrived and there is no parking although they ask if you require parking at time of booking (? ) … got to first room and there was a disabled bathroom with no shower; also this bathroom had french windows/sliding doors to the balcony area — with a voile across the whole window (floor to ceiling and width of room) so any toilet visits and bathing after dark and with the light on afforded no privacy from the busy street below. I asked to be moved to a room with a shower — shown to 2nd room which was a twin room, no problem as beds were pushed up next to each other. Hubby tried to have a shower before we went out for the evening — no hot water nor any water pressure! Just a dribble — gave up as it was a joke. I got up at half six to try and beat the rush and have a shower and wash my hair — no water pressure nor any semblance of hot water! Managed to get hair wet and partially lathered only for water to whine to a stop!? What the heck? My body was covered in shampoo, hair in half shampoo froth and no water. I took the shower head off to see if the water flow would improve but no! I must have stood there for 15 minutes trying to direct the single dribble over me to get the suds off. When we went down to breakfast others complained of no hot water as well. We were told breakfast between 8.30-9.00am yet others were told 8.00am onwards — needless to say people were waiting from 8.

Just had a good weekend at the Chatsworth. It is a basic hotel, needs a bit of TLC. The waitress was very good and friendly. We enjoyed the meals and the company.

If your booking a room at the Chatsworth based on the photo's of the room don't bother the room that you get looks nothing like the one's in photo's. the room was dirty and the shower sliding door were brooken, the carpet was dirty and the sealant round the shower and sink has got block mould growing and if you want to see any of the staff you will have to call the main phone number for the place and then when they feel like it they will turn up. the only good point is the food was ok.
