Absolutely disgusting soya milk was of at breakfast time tasted absolutely disgusting and coffee cold my sons milk to was not fresh we both got stomach issues to was not prepared to pay 31 pounds for breakfast couldn't eat and reception staff rude to only asked if wanted to do room check before we left.

Lovely hotel, great location and plenty of places to eat and drink. Would of been nice to have a room with a view as diamond HH but can’t have everything!

Me and my partner came for a night here on Wednesday and it was absolutely fantastic. Very nice large room and everything we needed for a quality night together. Great staff and we even got our room early which was an added bonus! thank you for a great stay! we will definitely be back!

Had a fabulous night at the New Years Eve Ball. Room looked amazing, food was fabulous (including a gluten free option) staff were attentive especially Jake, Jack and Richard.

Loving my stay! Fabulous welcome at check in really friendly reception staff gave a great first impression. Room spotlessly clean in exceptionally good decorative order, really spacious, loads of sockets, well thought out room, good lighting, air con, mirror placement etc. Excellent hairdryer. Pleasant smelling toiletries. Large clean bathroom loads of hot water, good shower, large soft towels. King sized bed very comfortable, excellent pillows and bedding. Did not move far from the Electric cocktail bar fabulous cocktails at reasonable prices for 4 star hotel, lovely view from the terrace. Friendly staff who really know how to make a knockout cocktail! Wish I was staying more than one night 😩

Very nice property, great location, excellent staff, very good breakfast buffet. Several good dining options within walking distance. All around good experience at a good destination. Only negative here is the parking, and specifically the lack of. The in and out is challenging, not enough spots, and no covered access to the lobby from the garage. That said, this is still hands down the best modern hotel option downtown Lincoln.

I had the pleasure of staying here for a long stay. The staff made quarantine bearable with their above and beyond service throughout the entirety of my stay. Highly recommend! I felt like I was leaving family behind when I checked out. : (

Marco Pierre Whites restaurant, Gym, huge bed, friendly staff…

Myself and my partner stayed here for a total of 5 nights. Two of these nights we had my little boy stay with us also. The gentleman on reception was called Robert Arthur and he was absolutely fantastic at his job. However, he did not just fulfil the duties and responsibilities of his job role. He went the extra mile to be helpful and accommodating of our change with suddenly having our little boy with us. He was very polite, well spoken, articulate and professional. Extremely accommodating, very enthusiastic and just an all round incredibly lovely young man. The hotel rooms are beautiful and so well designed. Location is beautiful, especially at night with Brayford Pool and all of the lights, bailgate and castle/cathedral are a stones throw away and a lovely walk up Steep Hill. There are a lot of positives and memorable things about our stay, however in terms of the hotel the biggest and most memorable highlight would definitely be the exceptional service provided by Robert Arthur, pay rise or promotion should definitely be in order! I am originally from Lincoln and have family here ad will be travelling down to Lincoln regularly. We will definitely be staying at the Doubletree Hilton Lincoln due to the service provided. Thank you again and all take care in these unprecedented times x.

Lovely friendly staff veryclean and very central.

Had a lovely Anniversary dinner last night and all staff were great, however afterwards went to have a cocktail in the bar and the head waitress was very rude and totally stressed out, she was totally unprofessional and upset my wife with her attitude, recommend the restaurant but not the bar with this horrible head waitress. Spoke to the manager regarding her abusive attitude. It’s a shame as the restaurant was delightful.

The Electric Bar is a great venue with fantastic views across the city.

Lovely Accessible room. Spacious wet room and very wide space all around bed so ideal for wheelchair user. I don’t need a wheelchair but I am aware that the facilities here, in certain rooms, are a “dream” for wheelchair users.

Room without windows and right opposite gym did not help. Was feeling claustrophobic. Staff lacks energy and smile.

Stayed here last year for our minimoon, loved it so much we came back for our 1st anniversary and stayed in the same room. We had an issue with our aircon, was sorted straight away. Fantastic staff, amazing cocktails, gorgeous rooms. Carpet on the Hilton Honors floor could do with an upgrade as there are a few bleach stains. Will definitely be coming back again soon.

Wonderful stay. Very professional greeting from the desk clerk, (who had crushed his finger) cookie as well! Rooms are modern and spacious, and the location is right on the river near many bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

I have never felt so special in my life being at this hotel. Highly respectful people and friendly staff. I went here for a break from things and to relax. Very welcoming as well. Always happy to help as well. Thank you for your kind and welcoming and kind service. Clean and presentable rooms. Very impressed all round.

£12 a day for parking and space in the car park is first come first serve! Cheaper to park in the nearby multi-story on Lucy Tower Street. Our bed was huge, but the Silent Night mattress felt old and lumpy. Very small window with a not so great view of a courtyard occupied by car park. The seal on the bottom of the bath-shower screen fell off when opening it away from the bath. The toilet flush was very weak, requiring multiple flushes with every use. Great location on the waterfront and hotel staff were very polite and helpful which made up for the room's quality. Didn't have a chance to try the restaurant unfortunately so can't comment on that.

Fantastic to walk along wharf side. Great scenery. Plenty of places for food and drink. Take a trip on river boat along canal. Snacks available on tour. Historical info on PA system on boat. Very close to shops. It's a beautiful experience if in Lincoln.

Staying the weekend for 100 year celebration of the RAF, plus 1940's dinner/dance had a great weekend. From reception to restaurant and bar staff so friendly and helpful nothing to much trouble. I am gluten free and had no problem with food. Jorge in restaurant got my 2 slices of toasted gf bread and delivered with a smile. Well done all the staff made our weekend very pleasurable.

Booked a suite for an anniversary, room was unhygienic and unsafe.
Black mould oozing from shower heads, exposed electrical wires due to missing plug sockets, damp smell throughout suite due to extractor fan notworkung, stained carpets and dead fly stuck to roof.
Complained to Hilton and was offered complimentary Hilton honours points which I did not want, requested refund as the room had previously had a poor review on trip advisor and issues not resolved hence why black mould oozing from shower head, to date no refund.
I escalated my complaint and received an email from the hotel general manager who said he would investigate and give make it his priority to resolve, weeks later nothing, no response no resolution. I have honestly stayed in nicer travel lodges, when your paying almost £200 fir a night you expect quality not substandard unsafe and unhealthy rooms. Sadly as the hotel manager did not follow through with his assurances I have no option but to escalate externally and pursue action through the small claims.

Clean and nice stay. Very warm and welcoming staff. Temperature in room was difficult to regulate was either too cold or too hot. Windows that open would have been a plus but otherwise enjoyed my stay here.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more helpful if they tried — really couldn’t fault their service. Getting a welcome cookie on arrival is a nice touch too. Any request I had was sorted within minutes, the room was clean and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. I’ll definitely stay here again and couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Paid just over £200 for a room to be kept awake all night! Rang the reception 3 times to be told it’s because we where Above a bar, don’t place a bar above a expensive hotel room then? Still nothing was sorted which at 12.30 we went down to reception itself. All we got offered was ear plugs or a room that’s downgraded from the one we was in. I’m sorry but you don’t pay over £200 for one night to not get any sleep! Apparently I’m getting a 50% refund which I’m still waiting for, should of been 100% in my eyes!

Awesome stay. Room was great and staff on point. Upon check in we were able to get a room at 1200. We asked for a refrigerator for my wife’s breast milk and they rushed one up within minutes. We ate at the disappointing restaurant (Marco Pierre White) and then had drinks at the neighboring bar. The bar was a good place to check out the scenery of Lincoln and have reasonably priced drinks. Me and my wife then went and got us some cookies and went to bed :). Hotel does not have ice machines but they are gladly to send you a bucket to your room free of charge within minutes! I would stay again and enjoyed my stay. Not much for diamond HHonors members but that and the disappointing restaurant is prob the only down side to this hotel.

Wonderful place to stay 2nd time I've stayed there now, staff are fantastic and very helpful. The morning breakfast is very nice with lots of choice. Only downside is get there early as limited car park spaces under hotel, nearest carkpark spot is £8 per 24hrs.

Quality Hotel, friendly staff. Cocktail bar on 5th floor is worth a visit. Buffet Breakfast is recommended. The only downside is the parking, use the Multi storey on Lucy Tower street. Be warned it's tight and an added expense to your stay.

Only complaint was the room view, As was looking into a derelict building, side of hotel. But room itself was excellent, Impressed with the complimentary toiletries, as all bases covered, staff helpful and friendly, loved the roof top cocktail bar. Great ambiance,

Visited recently for afternoon tea. While the tea itself was nice enough, service felt a little lazy and we weren't even explained to what the cakes or sandwiches are which has occurred in every other afternoon tea I've had. The staff weren't particularly attentive but would like to give a shout out to our server Mason who was great. Views were lovely though.

One of the best night life secrets of Lincoln. Very nice place hidden away in the Hilton hotel. Their cocktails are probably one of the best I've ever had and for what you get are really cheap. They also do offers for 2 cocktails for £9. Once you have your drink you can sit outside on the balcony with a gas heater over looking the waterfront.

What a lovely hotel and a great location! It has everything you need, a restaurant and a awesome cocktail inside the hotel. Just on your doorstep is loads of food places too so you never have to travel far. Nice cosy big clean rooms. Loved it here.

Rooms weren’t set up properly, room was freezing, no heating in bathroom so none of us could have a shower, disturbed at 0015 by the chef bringing an extra quilt, waiter spilt coffee on my friends phone and didn’t apologise, deputy manager pretended to be a waitress to get feedback and then pulled a chair up at breakfast whilst we were still eating, she left to find out from reception what had happened and then when she returned said that she had been in our room without permission! No more to be said really.

Room was modern clean and large. Room was in new extension at the rear. Great location. Good selection half price cocktails on 5 th floor with staff eager to please and happy.

Me and my girlfriend checked in last weekend to celebrate her 21st birthday, and we loved every minute! If I could give an extra star, I would. The hotel room was stunning, and we had little treats prepared and tailored for Rebecca's 21st upon entering the room; thank you very much to Anthony Sexton for doing this. The link I was sent wouldn't work, but he called me personally and took all my details and what I requested, telling me within seconds 'ok, not a problem. That's …all sorted, anything else I can help with? ' The service was beyond refreshing and exceedingly professional. So thank you! We also had a meal in the Marco Pierre White Restaurant; flawless. From the service (tom/Connor) to the actual food, I can't reccomend enough. We also had some pre drinks in our room with 5 of her best friends who had made the trip, and the ladies at the front desk asked me if I would like any ice or means to keep our drinks chilled. 5 buckets of ice for prosecco, beers and spirits which we had brought were sent up within minutes. Honestly, we've had such a fantastic weekend and we can't wait to come back! From me, my girlfriend and all our friends who made the trip for the meal and night out, we say thank you! X.

Nice hotel with small lake view in front of the building. During Christmas, please book in advance because there is a Christmas market in the castle so will be full book very fast and the hotel price always goes up almost double. Very nice place and around got many restaurants so it is a good place to stay.!

Very good service and a interesting menu. Great view of Cathedral. Starters were very good. I had Eggs Benedict. Yolks were beautiful orange colour and tasty. Mains were disappointing. I had rib eye steak. Cooked well but it was fairly tasteless and tough. Not what I expected for £25.00. The steak came with a few fries and tomatoes. Had to order other vegetables as a side at £3.90 each for fairly small portions. Desserts were okay. Had sticky toffee pudding. Slightly overcooked but enjoyable. Don't think I would eat there again.

First time since the Marco Pierre White branding. To be honest not any obvious difference since the change. That said, it was always a nice place to eat but not sure the rebroadcast adds much to the place. Great t-bone to be fair and reasonably good value for money.

Went for a black tie ball. The food was great and the staff were helpful. The room was comfy and spacious.

I had a surprise 40th here. A few close friends and I had afternoon tea (which is amazing! ) followed by cocktail making. I can highly recommend doing it. Brilliant experience.

Went to our company Christmas party, well organised with disco and food was really nice. Seem to a bit of gap between courses but the function room was full so understandable. Overall staff friendly, great good and great atmosphere.

Good service and very luxurious. When we arrived the bedroom wasn't what we expected so they gave another room straight away. The breakfast was fabulous. The hotel was very clean. Now there is now an ice cream parlour in the reception area mmm lovely tasty icecream. It's situated near all types of restaurants it's so convenient for shopping and eating out.

On my arrival at this hotel on Tuesday 19/9 at about 3.15pm I was told rather abruptly that the car park was full. I enquired if all 100 guests had parked their cars. I was told that not all the guests had booked and the car park was being used by visitors etc. I was told I could park in the public multi storey car park which was cheaper. I said this would involve dragging cases over100 yards. As a result I was then told by the receptionist she could arrange for me to park in the car park of the adjacent hotel. Having booked in I then found my room to dismal with no bath and was a room for a disabled person. I asked for a change of room but was told all rooms were booked. I should also point out that originally the hotel had chosen a twin bedded room when I had specifically ordered a king size bed. Fortunately my stay was saved by a very pleasant bar area and pleasant staff save for one person at breakfast who completely ignored us for a short while.

A fantastic hotel in prime position by the Wharf. I went for drinks at the bat on the 5th floor and loved it. The staff are friendly, professional and know a good cocktail!

It had very comfortable beds, great shower and nice bath products. The room was a good size and I really liked the location by the river. There was a breakfast buffet with plenty of choice even for vegetarians, we enjoyed it and would return.

Parking a little difficult to find and limited. Rooms very nicely appointed. The reception workers were very nice and even though we arrived hours before official check in time we were checked in to our room which meant we had lots of free time to stroll about.

Friendly hotel in a lovely area in Lincoln. One star less because I thought the bed was a bit hard, because the mattress was too cheap. We didn't bother with the restaurant for our evening meal because it really is surrounded by great eating places, no need to pay £40 for a steak. I enjoyed the breakfast though. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful modern hotel well deserving of the Hilton brand name. The room was clean, well equipped, comfortable and quiet. It had everything I needed for an overnight stay for s business trip. The warm cookie in arrival was a nice touch after a long drive also.

This hotel is located bulb the harbor walk. My room was on the Hilton HHonors floor which is the third floor. Spacious room and bathroom. Bed was a bit too firm. Cookies were good!

A lovely hotel on the Brayford in Lincoln City centre with some lovely views of the city. A fantastic electric bar serving delicious cocktails. A function room that's roomy and welcoming whether it be for a wedding or tribute band playing. Can't comment on the rooms as not stayed over before. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The location was good, right next to the Braford. Rooms where lovely, especially the entrance hallway. The services was excellent.

Had our wedding meal at the Hilton and the service and food was amazing. I was disappointed with the hotel service. We had booked 8 rooms at the Hilton with 2 of my guests being disabled. You can't prebook car parking spaces especially disabled car park spaces and that when I arrived there were guests parked in these spaces who weren't disabled. They eventually got this sorted for us. Also when you pay for parking your car park spaces is not guaranteed if you leave your space even when you pay for the parking The whole day. The key cars didn't work for the rooms for my guests the next morning so we couldn't get back into our room the next morning.

This hotel is amazing. Stayed here in may of this year, the staff were fabulous, very helpful, understanding to our needs. Nothing was a bother. We were coming to the end of our holiday after travelling from Australia and touriing the UK this is what we needed. Abouslutly beautiful place the veiw if the canal/river the town of lincoln the hotel staff everything is amazing. Our room was spacious we had a balcony at the back of the hotel it was great. If ever we get the chance to go back I will be booking again at this hotel. Made a great impression on us. Would highly recomend.

My husband took me hear for our 1st year wedding anniversary. The staff were very welcoming, helpful. Everytime we come down from our room or came back from going out the all ways smiled and said hi :) The room was Very clean and tidy and felt fresh! On our last night I could not get to sleep as im guessing it was the kitchen/resturant above us. They were making a lot of noise, dropping things ect. Other than that no other complaints. Deffinatly will stay here again! :)

Nice, but not worth the 'lower rate' we apparently qualified for, which was £159 for one of the bigger, nicer rooms. The balcony was tiny. The air conditioning only seemed to go down to 16c, so we left the balcony door open as the window doesn't open in the actual bedroom. Parking is a bit of a rip off at £12 as there is a local NCP that costs £7.50 for 24 hours. But this is perhaps not as secure. Overall, good hotel with nice decor, friendly staff and in a nice spot, but wouldn't go out of my way to stay there again.

The hotel is great but the service we received this evening is the worst I have experienced ever. We booked a king sized bedroom and as a HHonours member I checked in early online. When we arrived early at the hotel we entered our room to find it was a disabled room with a 3/4 height shower, no bath, emergency alarms everywhere and a queen sized bed low down to the ground. At no stage was this explained to us and it was not what we wanted for our evening and certainly wasn't what we booked. When I complained I was told that the H Honours App had pre-allocated me this room and there was nothing that could be done. I asked if there were any king sized rooms free and was told that there were but they had been allocated to customers who hadn't checked in yet. So we were penalized by being members of the Hotel Chain loyalty card, using their app and arriving early. I asked to speak to the manager who was useless and showed no flexibility. In the end he offered us a free drink in the bar. To add insult to injury we decided to leave as our evening had been ruined to be told that as the impression had been taken of my debit card I would not be reimbursed for about 3 days. Awful customer service — I will be cancelling my HHonours card and will not be using this chain again.

We went there for my wife's birthday and when the staff were helpful, and despite the fact that we pre ordered, my wife's meal was not appetising, rump speak not medium rare as requested and with a lot of gristle. However, the staff dealt with it well so can't complain too loudly. Also liked that thy let us take a cake in. Not quite the experience we were looking for but not enough to put us off for a future visit.

There were plenty of staff at all times, with everybody being very friendly. The venue itself was very clean and tidy with a good amount of open space. I attended an event with a 9 piece band and still the arrangement was great. Overall a great evening. The only downside is that the toilets are on a different floor to the venue. But this is such a minor thing it doesn't stop me giving it a top rating. The facilities were also very clean and tidy with no nasty smells.

Lovely place … staff were helpful when I fell ill … I was pregnant and started bleeding during my stay … I was dealt with … with care and dignity.

It was nice and clean, however it was not clear where the staors were located, also the meeting room was fairly warm, however it did have 150 people in so quite understandable. Overall a very nice place to visit.

Christmas party event, great food. Entertainment was a bit cheesy and a bit to loud to ever get a conversation in during the meal. Price was okay but could be better.

We are local so didn't stay at the hotel itself however we had our first meal at the Electric Restaurant last weekend. For a starter the King Scallops weren't, they looked more like Queen scallops and the cauliflower puree was almost absent from the dish along with the cauliflower itself. The other starter was extremely small too. Starter plates were cold. The main course (Pork triple and steak) were an improvement in portion size. Service was good and attentive however. By the way, espresso coffee served on a very sticky saucer was a huge turn off at the end of the meal.

If you like indian food please Try The Taj Restaurant in 10 Carlton Parade Orpington Kent BR6 0JB open 7 days a week Monday to Saturday 5.30pm to 11.30pm and Sunday 5.30pm to 11.00pm.

I stayed here with work a few months ago and was so impressed it was first on my list to book when arranging a weekend break with my family. The location is excellent, right by the water front, and has its own car park (although spaces are limited). The lobby is clean, bright and spacious, and there were several people working at the check-in desk so there was no queue. Service throughout our stay was top-notch — staff who genuinely seem to be enjoying their job, giving the impression that nothing is too much trouble. Reassuring security feature by only allowing guests access to the lifts. The rooms are modern and contemporary, well decorated, clean, spacious, and equipped with air conditioning and large flat screen TVs. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. The bar and cocktail restaurant on the top floor is fabulous, with an outdoor sun terrace area if you're as lucky as we were with the weather! We all enjoyed our stay and will be sure to check out this hotel if we are in Lincoln again.

Good location to explore Lincoln on foot. Very clean rooms and helpful staff. Sampling the awesome cocktails in the Electric Bar is a must.

Location of the hotel is wonderful, everything in Lincoln is walking distance and there are a lot of entertainments nearby. I fell in love with the fantastic roof bar with balcony overlooking the marina. My room was a deluxe one and it offered plenty of space as well as access to a balcony, which was great. Food was a welcome addition to the Lincoln culinary experience.

Hotel was excellent and ideally situated for exploring Lincoln by foot. Staff were all very friendly and helpful with good local knowledge of what's around. Only gripe is that parking was very limited and served on a first come basis with no reservation for parking space so made the trip to get a space in town that little bit longer however with two main carparks within 5-10 minutes walking distance this wasn't a big issue.
