Tastefully decorated throughout we occupied a very comfortable spacious room in the modern extension of this period property. Very conveniently situated in the Cathedral quarter of this quaint city. Within 5 minutes walk of the Cathedral, Castle and a host of independent shops bars and restaurants. Once the car is parked in this property’s private car park there’s no need to move it until you want to travel further afield. The cooked breakfast was delicious sausages exceptional!

We had a lovely stay even in these difficult times. The room was spacious and very comfy. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recomend the full English breakfast.

Great informative greeting upon arrival by the owner. Tha building itself is to a very high standard even though it is over 700 years old. The location could not be better only a short walk from castle, cathedral and Market Square. And to top it off the breakfast is very very nice, among the best I've had on a weekend away in a long time.

Very nice hotel and very welcoming excellent breakfast room very clean and tidy bed really comfortable would definitely come back here and stay again highly recommend.

Great location with friendly staff, lovely room which was more like our own flat in room 5. We had a great nights sleep and would come here again and highly recommend.

I never write reviews but couldn't not for here. I booked for a weekend away for myself and my husband. I do not have one fault to say, we was made to feel very welcome upon arrival which carried on throughout our stay. We stayed in room 5 which has views of the cathedral and a separate lounge room as well as having a bathroom. Breakfast was extremely nice and filling and they had a selection of everything. The building itself was awe inspiring and we loved how the walls and stairs weren't straight, due to the age of the building. Just added to the character of the buildingWe are definitely going to go back and stay again.

Lying in a comfortable bed with crisp clean sheets. Bedroom and bathroom clean and tidy. Water pressure and temperature of the shower excellent. Looking forward to breakfast in the morning. Great welcome from Paul on arrival. Centrally located in easy reach of castle, cathedral and some great hostelries. On my list of places to stay again. Good Indian restaurant next door if that floats your boat, no noticeable smells from next door if it doesn't.

Very central, historic and comfortable venue. Well maintained and nicely fitted and decorated. Friendly and welcoming. Great location for Castle and Cathedral.

Right in the heart of everything all the staff are lovely and we stayed in the old part of the house. Loved it.

We recently stayed at Cathedral View Guesthouse. We were given a warm welcome and were show to a lovely room which was a new addition to the extremely old building! The breakfast was very good and were given everything we asked for promptly! The guesthouse is ideally situated in the heart of the Cathedral area, which is steeped in history! with lovely shops, pubs and cafes aswell.

Fabulous place to stay. Stylish rooms, excellent service, welcoming and central location. Perfect!

Nice and clean and tidy with periodic features throughout. The temperature of the room and especially the bathroom was stifling hot at times and made for an uncomfortable sleep. The breakfast portion was a bit lean and the quality of the food was not great.

Be Aware! This is a pleasant place but my parents, who are in their early and late sixties respectively accepted room 3 even though it is not en-suite on the assurance their private bathroom is directly opposite. What had not been explained is that the bathroom is in effect a converted cupboard under stairs and the door is sited on the half-turn below the first step of a flight of stairs. No fun particularly if dozy during a night time visit! And one is inclined to hit one's head on the under-stair slope that is above the lavatory pan. The place doesn't deserve one star but that's what I give simply to alert people to what I regard as wilful misinformation over the phone when booking.

Paul and his staff are so friendly. Right from the moment of booking. Lovely clean guest house in a central location. I was in the annex which was perfect. I found it to be very quiet at night, even with window open, hence a good night's sleep. Good full English breakfast, or other choices for all. Would certainly stay again if visiting Lincoln.

Excellent location, minutes from Cathedral and Castle, room 8 was fresh, bright, very clean and tastefully decorated, modern with a spacious bathroom on the first floor of an adjoining building, breakfast was good and hearty in pleasant surroundings, wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We've just got back from a 3 night stay here and we were in room 7 right at the top. Absolutely gorgeous room, very spacious and a great view of the Cathedral. The whole place is really lovely! Perfect location, very friendly and welcoming and delicious breakfast! Thank you so much to Paul and the team! Would definitely recommend! :)

Having stayed in many guest houses and hotels across the UK, I can safely say that this really is a very special place. The room we were in — Room 1 on the ground floor — was spacious, clean and bursting with character. We were greeted warmly and with a brief run through of the building's history, as well as tips on places to visit and eat out. The guest house could not be situated better — it is within a stone's throw of both the castle and the cathedral, as well as an abundance of quirky independent shops, cafes and restaurants. More importantly, the guest house and most of the good places we found were at the top of Steep Hill so tackling the climb was optional! The breakfasts were really good, for meat eaters and veggies alike. Everything was well cooked and very tasty. I intend on staying at Cathedral View again whenever I visit Lincoln and recommend it happily.

This place is great, located centrally for major Lincoln attractions; the Cathedral and the Castle. The interior is beautifully decorated. The breakfast is delicious. If they appeared on "Four in a bed" they would get paid twice as much as they charge. The guest house is ideally situated for castle as well as the cathedral. This has been the second time my girlfriend and I have stayed here. The rooms are beautiful, the cleanliness of the rooms match the beauty. So far I have only met Paul and Tracey, they are both truly friendly and they bend over backwards to help where possible. And lets not forget the breakfast — awesome.

Fantastic guest house. We received a very warm welcome and shown to our lovely room (had booked one with ensuite), breakfast was very tasty (full english) and the location was excellent very close to both cathedral, castle, steep hill and lots of quaint shops. My wife and I would definitely go back there.

My wife I spent a lovely weekend at Cathedral View guest house, Beautiful room with a large lounge (Room 5), Breakfast was spot on, Brilliant location with a beautiful view of the Cathedral from our window (see photo), right in the middle of the cathedral quarter with plenty of nice public houses nearby, 2 mins from the top of steep hill (it is! ) leading into the town centre with all its shops & markets (and more pubs…), Will definately stay here again.
