Great service, chose the carvery option. The food was delicious with a choice of 3 meats. I had pork and beef which the portion size was huge. All the veg was topped up frequently and was cooked just how I like it. I would definately use again.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning was great value for money.

We had a lovely meal here yesterday evening. The surroundings are pleasant and clean. Staff are more than helpful. Would definitely recommend.

We ate here today for lunch with our friends (for the third time so far). Excellent fresh home cooked food. Generous portions. A relaxing atmosphere and very welcoming staff. Very clean and comfortable surroundings. We will be back soon.

Just been for a a lovely meal for my mums birthday. Food was gorgeous and everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The children's home made nuggets were a huge hit. Thankyou xx.

After years of neglect from the previous tenant. … be nice to see this once very popular venue restored to its former glory.

Really shabby place, we only stopped for a night of passage in 3 couples of which one had to have the room changed because not ready and the other 2 couples had to change the sheets because they were sorches!

Spent a night and they were very welcoming. Had a problem with locking my door but the second I spoke with someone and informed them they went out of their way to get the issue resolved quickly. I felt very reassured by the way it was delt with and it didn’t affect my stay. The staff were friendly helpful and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was very good and I was very impressed with the service and amount I had. I would stay again and recommend it to anyone who stays in the area. Lady night porter was a gem and she went out of her way to help us. 10 of 10 recommendations for all!

Used to be great, gone downhill very quickly, even bar had no snacks, no martini no orange.

After reading bad reviews and publicity I nearly cancelled my booking here on 18th March. Thankfully I chose to continue the booking after being reassured by a trusted family who had stayed here recently. I was upgraded to a deluxe room as I was staying four nights which was a bonus. The room was very spacious and clean and was cleaned every day. The first night they didn’t provide any towels due to “being let down by the dry cleaners “. However this was rectified on the second day. The room was quiet and well appointed with tea and coffee replenished every day. The communal areas were clean and tidy and breakfast was very nice with a good choice on offer. The bed was very hard in the room making sleep challenging but overall I would recommend this hotel. The only word of warning! The manager and manageress came to the hotel in November and were leaving the Monday after my stay. For this reason I would reserve judgement until you make a visit. On my experience though a reasonable budget hotel which was good value.

They have new management and are trying to make this a better hotel. However this is a hotel for contractors and they make a lot of noise.

Greeted by a scruffy receptionist who was unable to tell me the time for breakfast as he didn't work in the mornings. Went to room which was warm but a little dusty. Bedside light didn't work and there was no remote for TV tried to ring down but phone didn't work had for go down to reception twice but got no help and had to give up and not watch TV could not get a signal for the Wi-Fi from the room so tried to sleep but was woken by people talking in the corridor at 4 am didn't have breakfast but this was extra including £2.5 for a coffee left hotel tired and disappointed.

Been a few times, Great stay for the price… couldn't ask for much more as only 45 pound and 20 pound extra for late checkout. Quite dated but nice and clean, Would reccomend.

Just reopened, very warm welcome, great food — really hope that they do well.

This is a no frills hotel and normally I would say you get what you pay for… But in this case you seem to get what you don't pay for… @£45 per night the rooms were actually above my expectations and were the kind of like a dated chain hotel but clean and welcoming. If I was to be picky the TV you need a magnifying glass for (and a remote) and some slight mould in bath on sealant. But all in I would recommend this place as it's cheap and not like some dives around here… Fyi there's not alot to do around here though.

No beer at the bar, only one tot of whiskey, no body on reception, no food, was disappointed never been to a hotel with such lack of staff, the place seems to be for sale, rubbish.

Brilliant staff /friendly greetings / Comfy bed/ cleanliness supreme. Excellent breakfast was provided at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Where do I even start. Checked in at 5pm for a 1 night stay after booking a month in advance, on arrival we were given a twin room instead of a double and told there was no alternative and that someone must have edited the booking by mistake. But still "nothing we can do". We came back just to sleep at 11pm and we were confronted by a woman in her 50s so drunk that she couldn't move and was blocking the entire stairway, her gobby husband was shouting and swearing and waking everyone up. This went on for nearly an hour. Not the hotel's fault really but had there been more staff on shift or a manager it could have been dealt with much quicker. Now to the room (room 9) the kettle was smashed, spiders all over the room, old mattresses and not to mention having to sleep in a single bed after booking a double. Upon checkout this morning at 8.15am, we stood at reception for 10 minutes, all the lights were turned off and no staff in sight. The only sign of life was a young lad hanging about outside the door in tracksuit pants, scruffy trainers and a hoody with the hood up. After watching him pace and smoke for 10 minutes we were amazed to see him come back in and check us out. To sum up, totally unprofessional, understaffed, dated, unaccomadating. I would never return to this hotel, not even for free. The place is even up for sale which may explain the lack of effort.

Complete disgrace waited for 90 minutes for the meal and then got raw chicken on my mixed grill.

Wonderful reception on arrival. When we first went into the room we smelt cigarette smoke so we opened the window and left the door wide open whilst I popped to reception to ask for some air freshener I explained to who I presumed was the manageress our room smelt of smoke she was most apologetic and said I'll send someone down straight away with some. I said no need to apologise you cant be expected to make sure all your guests are law abiding and considerate as there are some people who only ever think of themselves. After a few minutes the lad at reception knocked on the door apologised for the wait but said he had to run to the shop. Most helpful. Very very polite. Afternoon tea and cake was brill. 5 stars on everything. 5 star PLUS. Nothing too much trouble.

Rooms are fine, staff are extremely hospitable, cannot do enough to help you and make you feel welcome. Restaurant food was great and very reasonably priced. Rooms are reasonably priced too. Plenty of parking. Had a small issue with the security alarm going off through the night, but when mentioned on check out the staff bent over backwards to compensate for it. Would definitely stay again. A good, honest place to stay. Drinks a little pricey at £4-10 a pint, but that may be the going rate for this area?

Whilst the timeliness of service was good, being given a glass with lipstick smears did not overly add to my enjoyment of the evening. Neither did their spotty stocks of beer — both of my choices were out of stock, but the waiter did not know on either occasion when taking my order.

Started bad shown to wrong table ; manager took over given bottle of wine, rest of experience went well ; food and service was excellent I'm very frugal but thought it worth a good tip. Would recommend without a doubt staff work so hard. Well done.

We booked a weekend away in Grimsby just to get away from city life and what a wonderful idea it was to stay at The Beeches Hotel in Grimsby. Cheap and easy booking, easy to find and excellent customer service was just the start. This hotel and restaurant in Grimsby is brilliant for value, would recommend for a weekend escape.

Excellent food, average service. Atmosphere was lacking, however, for a Tuesday weeknight you can't expect much. Would recommend but aim for peak times with a booking.

Nice food, nice place, but I am aware that management refuse workers time off when they are I'll meaning sick people are working around your food.

I had a delicious meal — North sea Crab; Sea bass — tender, melt in the mouth — really good cuisine. Lovely dining room. Very enjoyable.
