Decent clean hotel near to airport and parking. Only downside is that as an IHG Platinum Member I was told that the welcome drink was only for myself and not my husband (we were obviously in the same room). This is definitely not the case as we've stayed in many IHG properties including many Holiday Inn Express where both of us had the drink or Amenity Points. To be honest I could have argued the point but for the sake of a couple of quid I couldn't be bothered lol. Still. Clean and comfortable and if the hotel is that cost conscious for a couple of quid then so be it…

Lovely chilled, quiet place with good service, great for reflection ahead of your flight, recommend.

As a wheelchair user I don’t think I have ever stayed anywhere that has been so accommodating. It was easy to book an accessible room online. The room is a good size and well designed for a wheelchair The bathroom has the basic toiletries and plenty of towels. Good size lift the staff are amazing and all for a mere £74 for two nights including breakfast.
Would definitely come back.

I just needed a bed for the night! warm, clean, despite being near the airport, not noisy.

Absolutely fabulous staff, really friendly and helpful. We stay here every year for the Download festival. Yes, if we shopped around we could get a cheaper hotel, but the staff really make it for us.

Nice rooms, had delayed flight, and they kept all our stuff in the fridge for us till we left the next day. Slept well as rooms well sound proofed.

We stay here every time we fly from East Midlands. What we like is we can get up, have breakfast, shower relax and check out by 12pm. Staff are friendly and helpful, plus they cater for my husband who is gluten free.

Good value for money choice. Clean room and nice bed. Breakfast included is a plus.

Pretty good and great value. Disabled facilities good. Food served by friendly staff could be slightly more sophisticated but a nice atmosphere and surprisingly quiet being so close to the airport.

Stayed for a few hours before a flight. Pleasant room. Good air con. I had the pop up bed (intended for our child) which was surprisingly good. Only issue gargling drains. Reported to reception and they apologised. Wish they served breakfast earlier for those very early departures but would defiantly use again.

Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable stay night before early morning flight. Lovely continental breakfast served at 4am. Cooked breakfast available latter in morning. Nice relaxed bar area. Choice of dinning at the hotel in casual dinning area or welcome to order delivered take away and eat in dinning area.

Stopped over before our holiday, we were still able to go for a drive locally for a evening meal … hotel perfect for what we needed.

Oke to stay when you need to be in east midlands. Room was spacious, comfortable bed. I had a old bathroom (not renovated). The restaurant is not so good. It's food, nothing more. Friendly staff and breakfast is fine! If you have an early flight you can take some breakfast to go.

Good location for airport with shuttle bus or short taxi drive if no car. Bedrooms clean and modern but beds are quite small and not too comfy. Air con noisy in room 234!

Excellent location for East Midlands airport, reasonable prices against close competitors. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean and well presented. Would recommend you try this hotel first when booking. This is a first impression and haven't had any food yet but fairly sure it will be good.

It's a middle of the road hotel a welcoming foyer and staff. Good room size, clean and bright, a good comfortable double bed and linen. A bathroom with a shower and washing facilities with fresh towels. A cooked Breakfast starts at 06.30 with all that one could wish for. A well presented and priced for travellers requiring a good comfortable accommodation.

Good quality-price relationship. The breakfast was included and it was quite good. Room was clean however one of the days we expected them to change the sheets but they didn´t, they just made the bed… The location of the hotel is convenient for those who need to be close to the airport, which is within 10 minutes walk. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel, the skylink express bus takes you to the centre of Nottingham in 30 minutes.

Great location for the night before our holiday, room clean and with all the amenities you need. The bed was comfortable and the choice of firm or soft pillows was great. Air con was a bit fierce and kept my husband awake. Breakfast was a decent meal with cooked, continental and cereal choices and as much as you could eat. For the price we paid and the service we received from the friendly staff would happily stay again as a budget option.

Very conveniently located, clean rooms, friendly welcoming staff and the breakfast buffet was a nice touch. Also appreciated the microwave facilities which gave us the option of having a ready meal instead of having to go out to a restaurant. Unfortunately their green credentials have significant room for improvement; we arrived late on our first night and could not figure out why one side of the room felt Arctic and the other like an oven. Come morning we discovered that housekeeping had opened the both windows and set the Aircon to 25°C?! Equally infuriating was the fact that whenever housekeeping visited they reset the Aircon to tropical temperatures and took our towels, we had left the towels where they asked to indicate we were happy to reuse them. Adding to the irritation was that they then left us with clean towels for one person, there were three of us. Other than that a lovely stay and we'd be happy to visit again.

The staff at the hotel were lovely and accommodating. Although the rooms were clean we were slightly baffled after one confusing night at being hot/cold that the window had been left open with the air conditioning on hot! There is the slight annoyance at having to pay for 4 days parking for a 3 night stay, it's a hotel car park, you should pay by number of nights/24 hours periods that you are staying. We stayed in a family room, the main bed was comfortable but the food out sofa leaves you with a bad back in the morning. The breakfast was a nice spread of cereal/continental/cooked breakfast. Overall a nice stay with a few small niggles.

This was a really nice hotel, one of the nicer express' I've ever been too. It wasn't one of the brand new ones but definitely not one of the old dated ones. Rooms were a nice size with comfy double bed and separate sofa bed for my daughter. Bathroom was nothing spectacular but clean and did its job nicely. The restaurant and bar area was very nice. Good range of drinks, although absent was Pepsi, they only had the sugar free Dirty Pepsi and Pepsi Max which was odd. Nice range of food on the menu, and the breakfast was as expected which was very nice. My wife was attending a meeting during the day and the meeting room provided was excellent and included chilled bottled water and a hot drinks machine, as well as good served at lunch time. All in all an excellent stay, though I will point out that there's a charge for the car park. This makes sense as it's an airport hotel just not something I'd thought about. I will point out though as well though that the hotel has a stay and go service where your car can be left while you're on holiday, which I think is very convenient.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms well equipped. The mattress of the extra bed is somewhat uncomfortable, thin and springy.
The Wi-Fi is going very well.

Stay every time for wheelchair football season room a bit cold sometimes but soon sorted when we 1st stayed here I was disappointed as there was no bacon but now everything is perfect with breakfast. Only moan I have is there is no hoist with the wheelchair bedrooms I have to lift my son as we don't own a portable hoist so even if the hotel had a couple of these for such cases but it's no big deal. We'll always stay here while doing football as no complaints staff is always friendly even during the night if u can't sleep & come down in your nightwear they never judge (unless wearing nothing or revealing :) )

Excellent stay. Comfy bed and pillows. Room very clean with everything you would require. Staff friendly and helpful.

Close to the airport. Food a bit expensive on the evening. But very accommodating for breakfast. We had to be at the airport for 4am so the staff let us get some food to go to take with us.

As always clean and fresh, big comfortable bed. Only down side as with all hotels is why do they all feel it's acceptable to charge exorbitant prices for food and drink?

Stayed for one evening 22/8/17. Staff very friendly on arrival and explained everything we needed to know fully. Had an evening meal which was lovely. Bar area clean and prices very reasonable. Room couldn't be faulted — exceptionally clean — beds very comfortable. Noise from airport minimal. Breakfast perfectly adequate. All in all great value for money.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was available early so we could eat before we left for the airport. The only negative comment I would make is that some of the bowls and plates at breakfast hadn't been cleaned properly and had remnants of food stuck to them. A member of staff did realise whilst we were eating breakfast and removed them.

Staff were friendly, place was clean and quiet and cosy. Designated smoking areas were a good idea.

Stayed here many times when working at Donington Park race circuit and its exactly what you expect from Holiday Inn. Excellent service from all the staff, all communal areas are spotless as are the rooms. Parking is charged at £5 per night for guests which I suspect is due to the close proximity of the airport so cost this in when comparing prices.

Convenient to EMA and clean airport, adequate services, public transport in the vicinity, with Bus in 30 min. And only £6 you reach Nottingham which is a decent city.

Nice looking rooms with air conditioning / ventilation system that works excellent and which allows you to set your optimal room temperature. Bed was comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was good with both hot and cold food. The restaurant was not impressive but not terrible either.
