My part booked this for my birthday for 2 nights. What a beautiful place. The staff are incredble for service. We took our dog as it was a dog friendly hotel… The best dog friendly hotel we have been to. They even gave him sausages at breakfast. They were so loving towards him. The service is amazing you can't fault it and the food is gorgeous.
We had a walk along the canal to a pub called dalton Arms! If you love animals definitely visit here the pubs gorgeous and staff again are lovely and dog friendly.
So so happy with our stay here. Thank you! We will be back xx.

We got married at The Mill last weekend, 23rd November 2019, and we cannot recommend it enough! We had the best day ever and a huge part of that was down to The Mill and their truly amazing team! Every single person was so friendly and helpful, both in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself! Sara and Siobhan in particular were absolutely fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure we had the most perfect day! So many guests commented on how beautiful the venue is, and the whole setting around it. As well as how good the food was, and how extremely helpful the staff were. The whole day flowed so smoothly, the team turned the ceremony room around and set up all the table centres exactly as I’d imagined; their whole attention to detail was second to none. The Mill is an amazing venue with a truly wonderful team, thank you again for everything.

Very tastefully decorated hotel, bedroom 22 is just gorgeous with very spacious ensuite, comfortable bed and also armchair. Furnishings beautiful and contemporary. Dinner was delicious and staff welcoming and friendly.

We had our sons christening here on Sunday in the function room, all I can say is wow!
The staff were amazing, and couldn’t do enough for us. And all had time for a chat and were lovely.
The food, was exceptional! We opted for the BBQ and chips, with onion rings and it was all delicious, hot and fresh. Nobody went home hungry.
Then there’s Sara, the event organiser. She was wonderful. She went above and beyond. She really did make the day perfect for us.
Thank you all soooo much, just trying to work out an excuse to have another party there now xx.

Wow what a beautiful place. Stayed over for one night as a treat for hubbys birthday. From the minute we walked into reception we were greeted by Sara with a warm welcome. On discovering that we had mistakenly booked the wrong night Sara went into helpful mode. We were seated and given free coffee and biscuits while Sara sorted out a room for us. Ten minutes later we were given our room keys (what a superstar) Location 10/10 Room 10/10 Food 10/10 Staff 10/10. You guys should be very proud of yourselves. A lovely dog friendly gem of a place and we will definatly be returning. Thankyou xxx Mr & Mrs Murphy with Sally and Walt.

A special Thank you to the Mill at Conder Green Team for hosting our perfect wedding on 3rd August. Neither us nor our guests are from the Lancaster area and so the venue was a surprise for everyone, with our guests commenting on how lovely a setting it was for a Wedding. We chose the Mill because it had a laid back feel, however the reception room is bright and modern and really suited the kind of feel we wanted for our day. We ate at the restaurant many times in the lead up to the big day on our trips over to visit and the food was always delicious (special mention for the Duck Lollipops which are incredible, we had these as canapés also for our wedding, but sadly I didn’t get to try any as I was too busy mingling! ). On the day the food also received many compliments, with all the guests saying how delicious their wedding breakfast was along with the best sausage sandwich I have ever tasted in the evening. A huge thank you also has to go to Laura who has only recently joined the team, however is a total star and a true credit to the Mill and I can say I wouldn’t have felt as comfortable and our day wouldn’t have gone as well without her. Laura really knows her stuff and put us at ease before the big day as well as working tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly and was on time. Thank you all for making our day perfect.

Well designed and appointed renovation. Welcoming staff and good quality service. Only had drinks at this visit which were served professionally. Good value for money and will be returning for a meal and perhaps a stay.

Fantastic service. Brilliant food. Made to feel very welcome despite having 2 dogs and a wheelchair. The building is lovely and its location next to the canal is gorgeous. A lovely chilled, dog friendly place in a brilliant setting.

Fabulous food, great atmosphere and the staff were too. Non of that hovering over you while you eat. Just a respectful enquiry as to how the meal was 10 minutes or so into dining. The dog friendly policy is a breath of fresh air… so many other restaurants refuse entry and even as an assistance dog user, often come across premises that ignore the law. Anyway as I say… great food, atmosphere and the surroundings are idyllic.

Beautiful place, setting the works. Very dissatisfied with the food. Hubby ordered the blade of beef, came back that they had ran out. He then ordered the Sunday roast of turkey. When it came it was cold, not even luke warm. They took it away and after 10 minutes brought it back. Apparently it had been microwaved and replated! Not impressed, not even a fresh meal. Apparently the kitchen was busy, but the guy next to us managed a fresh, hot meal. Not good at almost £15.
I had fish pie, quite bland really and the “ crusty bread” was crusty because it was stale.
Nobody came to ask if the meal was ok at any point. We was recommended to this place but apart from the surrounding area and calling for a drink we won’t be eating here again.

Definitely a 5star place our second visit this week, excellent food. Wonderful staff nothing is to much trouble for them. Very dog friendly loved my sister’s assistance dog and our pet dog can’t praise them enough. Look forward to going back again.

Lovely place. Great restaurant with lovely meals. But our room got a bit hot. Windows (top floor) hardly opened and their only fan was already in use!

Although it is somewhat expensive, it is very worthwhile paying the extra for the beautiful scenery and relaxed remote location. We found the staff to be extremely helpful and pleasant & the bed to be very comfortable, the room we had was a signature bedroom. We were a large party of 6 adults and three small children and we were all catered for very well indeed. I should mention, but not by the way of criticism because the staff were extremely busy, we had to wait for over an hour for our evening meal, however, when this was pointed out to the staff they, without hesitation or request, provided us with two bottles of very pleasant wine which was very acceptable compensation. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Mill.

Food very good, generous portion. Price is high @ £18pp average excluding drinks. Very nice quiet area situated next to a canal. Out door tables for a party of 7-8 is a squeeze if you want to eat outside on a table together. Order at the bar.

Lovely location, I can see why it's promoted as a wedding party venue. Great views of the canal and countryside. I enjoyed the food and the larger bedroom was well appointed and comfortable. I would stay there again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at The Mill. The room was really well appointed, the bed was comfortable with good quality linen. The restaurant was excellent too. There was a good choice at breakfast with high quality ingredients. Dinner was excellent including delicious non-meat options. All the staff were helpful, friendly and very professional. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The Mill is a good place to relax. We had a lovely dinner, the menu was very good, try the braised steak and bacon suet pudding if it's available. The breakfast was good but took a while to arrive, hence 4 not 5 stars.

Was disappointed with the Sunday roast. Yes it was ok, but it was pretentious. Yorkshire pudding was impressive size but overdone. We had to wait an absolute age for our meal to arrive and it wasn't particularly busy. We had need, couple of roast potatoes, but they weren't lovely and crispy and just not enough veg. Overall fairly disappointing.

This was a lucky ' real find ' for us. On our way back from Scotland. Lovely room, great evening meal and a superb breakfast. Great staff, especially the lady with the screwdriver, which I gave back, to help with the radiator. Would highly recommend the Mill and will definitely stay there again.

Quality boutique bar, restaurant and hotel in a relaxing setting right next to a lock on the canal. Good beer and drink selection, wonderful food (good portions), very pleasant staff with a lovely ambience. What's not to like? … P. S. I'm a regular visitor.

Fantastic setting, modern but retains character. The perfect setting for a relaxed country wedding just a few minutes from Lancaster.

The place is lovely it did rain so couldn't sit outside which I think would have been great because of where it is I was just disappointed that they didnt have a lot if choice for me as I am gluten free although they had bread which was ok there is so much on the market for gluten free frozen ect that can be used the deserts it was ice cream or chesse it is nice to have options the waiter was very good he did try to be accommodating.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at The room was luxurious and very comfortable. What made it special dugout us was the position next to the canal. We enjoyed walking on the path next to the canal and experiencing the wildlife, including swans, a hare and a stork. The lamb hotpot at supper was superb! A great place to stop on an M6 journey.

Very nice pub situated out in the countryside. I would recommend parking in the car park at Glasson Dock and walking along the canal to The Mill. The canal basin at Glasson Dock looks very nice on a sunny day. There is also a hotel should you wish to stay the night and a conference centre. The sister pub to this establishment is The Shard Riverside Inn near Hambleton.

Great building nicely done out. Breakfast option a little short of what was expected. Room interesting shape, in the attic with low beams, overlooking canal. Staff ok, barman very pleasant and helpful. Generally clean but leather sofa in room stained.

The food was not up to par, 10 chips and a small peace of fish for £11.95. For pub grub I would have expected a more generous portion. We only ordered one course thankfully as it took nearly an hour to arrive.

My starter was smoke salmon bread was tastless and uninteresting. Not worth £6ish.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while visiting our son at Lancaster University. The hotel is in a beautiful peaceful location but only 10 minutes drive from the university. The rooms are clean and the evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Recommended, I'd stay here again.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room where very clean and comfortable. The view from our window in the morning was beautiful. The sun was rising over the hill and along the canal with a light covering of snow. We had very nice breakfast looking out over tha canal and the hills in the background. We like to try different hotel but this is one we will definitely be returning to.

What a great place, in the middle of nowhere, which is exactly what I had hoped for. Great food, nice views and nice staff. The mattress and pillows were slightly uncomfortable and I had hope it would have more of an old style B&B flair but it was still lovely.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful location, on the Lancaster canal. The rooms are very nicely decorated, with a comfy bed and all amenities you could want. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice, and reasonably priced. I will definitely return, and can thoroughly recommend it.

Popped in for lunch, great food in great surroundings with friendly staff.

This property is a large converted mill sitting on the Lancaster Canal. It has a lock beside it which makes a great backdrop view for the restaurant. The building has been converted to a very high standard with a lift to all floor to save the legs of the weary cyclist. Bikes can be stored in a large laundry area on the ground floor. The room was very clean and very well presented. The en-suite bathroom was immaculate and there was lots of hot water. I was well looked after by Liz, the duty manager, who personally led me to the laundry to settle my bike in for the night, showed me to my room and even poured my Guinness whilst I waited for the steak and chips I had ordered as a reward for reaching roughly halfway on my Land's End to John O'Groats cycle. The food was excellent, the steak cooked to perfection. After a good night's sleep I was still too full in the morning to manage a Full English. So, after my starter of fruit juice, muesli and toast I ordered a bacon omelette which was large, delicious and perhaps as filling as the Full English. Fortunately the first few miles cycling were flat.

Stayed here during our stay. Really nice place. Very good rooms, mine was with a bath so it was good to relax. Amazing customer service. Everyone is really polite. Overall you will not regret staying here. I would definitely come back. Stayed in room 4. This was a menu breakfast so all food is fresh and tasty.
