I'm just so sorry it's now closed and sadly is being demolished to make way I understand for retirement apartments and a Lidle supermarket. Why o why do we need another supermarket when Add a is across the road. I would like to see the Dixon suite kept and turned into a community centre for the new development. It's a beautiful room and seems such a waste to just destroy it.

The food is nice. The environment is good… but sadly it is closing soon.

We went to The Pines Hotel for 4 my sister's hen party which was an 80's experience. The food was lovely and the money for drinks was quite reasonable. The music played through the night was great and relative to the evenings theme. I would definitely recommend.

Had my hen night there on Saturday 25 th june, had the 80s experience, what a fantastic night, best I've ever been too, the dance floor was packed right from the start, brilliant, would highly recommend.

A warm welcome, fun atmosphere and great food! Thats just the cabaret nights! The rooms are homely and comfortable and a great nights sleep was had by all.

Went to the 80's night. The band was good but very loud. The quality of the food was good but the portion sizes were pitiful. The service was OK and the bar prices quite high. Overall a good night but some things to improve on.

Celebrated my 40th Birthday here last Saturday 23 April 2016, for the 80's Experience had a fantastic night, great venue & entertainment, food was good too, bar service at your table is fantastic!
Tom, the compere, a great guy who knows exactly how to look after his guests and makes sure you have a good night & a good DJ too!

Absolutely fantastic 80's theme night last night! Our Hen party all had a fabulous time. Excellent food, staff and DJ. The band were great and it's a beautiful place. Thanks to all the staff for a fabulous night, we will be coming again for another theme night as we all had such a wonderful time. Thank you ☺☺

Lovely place to meet at. Well presented room with very good tea and coffee.

Manager is rude to other staff members. Didnt seem to do alot just walk about and didnt engage in conversation with guests. Later seen drinking at the bar. Not very professional.

Amazing! My husband and I got married on 25/4/15 in the Dixon suite. We don't have one bad word to say about The Pines. The staff, decoration of the room, food, grounds and hotel accommodation were fantastic. Couldn't recommend this place enough. All our guests have commented on how amazing it was. The day was perfect and I can't thank Mrs Duffin and her staff enough. Perfect wedding venue!

Never again will I go in this place, was in the main area having three course meal, couldnt get served at the bar and when I did, she was extremely rude, while sitting down for the meal, the waiters were abrupt and rude also, the only person was guy at front of house, who was very helpful and courteous.

My first time ever at the pines and I was really excited to go as many people had told me how great it was, but that's not what I got to experience on sat. The food was cold and there was not much choice. The bar staff were so rude, they were arguing with each other in front of customers and they ran out of a lot of drink! The only thing I can not fault was the entertainment. It was an 80's night and it was great.

Booked The Pines for our annual party night with work. Came last year and was extremely happy with the whole night from the lovely food to the helpful staff and fabulous party night. Am very sorry to say this year was a huge let down on all fronts. The menu was not fully the same as advertised online which was a bit of a let down for some people. The food that came was actually quite tasty-what you got of it, the portions were mostly miniscule and portions varied widely from person to person ordering the same meal! The singing act started an hour late and the DJ advertised was not the DJ who turned up and there was a strange music quiz in between it all which seemed utterly pointless. One young man serving our table with drinks actually swore at my colleague when for the 3rd time she sent her WRONGLY SERVED drink back. Another young lady behind the bar refused to replace a drink she had served wrong, arguing it was not her who had got it wrong but us. Lastly the ladies toilets had a very strong sewage smell which was utterly baffling to us all as they are beautifully decorated and seemed super clean? On the whole it left a very bad taste as we can only compare it to last years excellent night. Poor food, rude staff and mediocre entertainment. At £40 a head we wont be returning.

We had to wait 40 Minute wait between starter and main meal. When main finally arrived there was no potatos.

We have just returned from a overnight stay at the pines hotel, we really enjoyed our stay, the whittle suite that we stayed in was absolutley beautiful and definatley worth the additional £20 we paid to upgrade. The staff were very helpful, easy to talk to, with a fantastic attitude towards customer service, nothing is too much trouble for them, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Food and evening entertainment was great. We toatlly enjoyed the whole experience of staying in this hotel. And look forward to returning in the future. Xx Emma xx.
