Kitchen staff were awful — sighing and moaning. We were not put into room we booked which we reported twice and still didn't get moved. Really needs decor updated (paint and wallpaper off in areas) dreary atmosphere. Rang bell at the bar several times only to stand over 10 mins waiting on member of staff. Paulina who works there was only decent person in the place (and approachable)

Clean and tidy needs updating but enjoyed our stay breakfast was cracking.

2 day stay with my son. Struggled findin staff. Beds were ready for the tip. Moldy bathroom celin. Wallpaper hangin off wall. Only one cup in 2 bedroom. Door was lose even when locked. Ants all over breakfast table. And they had a flood which was drippin right on top off hot food.

Great rooms :) fantastic staff, met some nice people, not too expensive, nice breakfast, all in all a great hotel great people. Would defiantly stay again :)

Stayed 2 nights and the room and staff was fabulous. We enjoyed blackpool. Rooms are very equipped for the price you pay. Really nice and clean. Will be booking again.

Breakfast is absolutely amazing. Had some problems but manager was sorting it through out. Location was perfect right next to beach and rides.

Cold rooms cold food cold service. Badly dressed staff very expensive supermarket bought bar prices. Not made welcome no facial recognition.

Cheap and cheerful, clean, great staff. There was a problem with the hot plate, ie, it wasn't… But the food was nice and the staff microwaved for us.

Good size room for the price paid, bar wasn't open when we were there. Breakfast was average, buffet left out and had gone slightly cold.

I recommended a client here as it seemed like a nice place and had some decent feedback but I got a scathing feedback. They said it was poor service from the manager and his staff and the standards were appalling and they were overcharged! Safe to say I won't be recommending it again. Shocking.

Basic rooms for basic money. Staff were friendly and we had a decent night's sleep so what's not to like? No it's not the Hilton, but you get what you pay for, and given its location, I'd say it's really fairly priced!

Room was cheap and on short notice. Parking was ample. Room was quite big compared to other hotels in the area. Decor was dated but the furniture seemed quite new. Bit of an odd mix but not offensive. The breakfast was a buffet type affair, good quality and just took what you wanted. Staff polite, friendly and helpful. Definitely would consider staying again.

Lovely place to stop with great location for pleasure Beach and very reasonable rates. Management and staff are very helpful serving and excellent breakfast.

Terrible. They double charged us. Took weeks to get a refund. Breakfast was terrible. Phone constantly left off the hook. Bar was closed. And bed bugs. Absolutely disgraceful.

Lovley polite friendly staff, nice breakfast. Super clean, nice room comfortable bed. Pleasure beach opposite, short walk to tram stop, pleanty of parking. Great value for money.

Nice clean little hotel, friendly staff, away from the main road and quiet.

To be honest I was disappointed with the hotel. During our 3 day stay, cleaning service never changed the bedding or towels. I complained about faulty shower twice which was never fixed even though manager said he'll get someone to look at it. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom and window wouldn't open but no action taken when complained. One day they even forgot to wash/replace coffee mugs or leave coffee/milk and soap in bathroom. Good job I took a shower gel with me. Double bed was OK but the kids mattresses were so uncomfortable that they complained about springs poking when laying on bed so I ended up sleeping on floor. When checking out I told the manager again about our experience. He promised to investigate and refund some amount but never heard back. AVOID and book a good B&B instead.

First time at Henson Hotel with my family and we really enjoyed ourselves. The entire staff are so polite and lovely, the breakfast was amazing. The manager Glin was brilliant, he went out of his way to make sure we had everything and that we had a good time. I will definitely be coming back here again 100%.

Perfect location for the pleasure beach, a short stroll to the Tower and attractions near there, lovely breakfast and very reasonable, would definitely stay here again.

Lovely room. Well decorated. Big bed and all the things you'd expect, tea, coffee etc. Interior corridors are a bit dingy and dated but the room was very comfortable. Parking onsite as well. When I arrived I was later than I expected to be, 8pm, and the barman wasn't sure how to check me in as it seemed the manager had popped out. But the barman got on the phone to the manager and it was all sorted within minutes. Cheap, nice room, comfy bed. Would stay again.

Nice hotel near the promenade. Breakfast is nice too.

Stayed 2 nights the hotel was really clean the staff and owners were so friendly nothing too much trouble for them at all, the breakfast was quality produce with vegetarian options available, will look no further for a hotel when going to blackpool again such good value for the money paid thank you David and Sue for making our stay so enjoyable.

Went to the Henson Hotel on the 1st November, The best Hotel Myself and My Family have stayed in at Blackpool, Very friendly owners and made very welcome, Breakfast was excellent and a varied choice each day. Room was big rnough for us and very clean, Will Be staying again! Mr Pritchard.

We booked 3 family rooms for the weekend late October 2013. 1 room was large, 2 medium size all clean and well fit for purpose. The hotel is ideally positioned just at the south end of Blackpool, close enough to stroll to the action, but away from the rowdy area's. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Saturday night cabaret was good. Bar prices were same range as I would have to pay in the Pubs at home and were actually cheaper than some pubs we used in Blackpool. We only booked breakfast which was buffet of cereal and a good full english. Service at breakfast was like all other area's of the hotel, quick, efficient and polite. Discussing our stay at the Henson hotel ALL of the adults in our party agreed they could not fault (without being petty) any aspect of the Hotel or service and would not hesitate to use it again.

I Stayed in the hotel 02/09/2013 last night. Dave and Sue are two of the nicest people I have met I a long time. The Hotel was first class 10/10 for how clean they keep it, the food, entertainment, Could not have been made more welcome anywhere and my familly who were not even staying there were made welcome. Its a must to stay here if in Blackpool. We will be back to stay again very soon. Thank you FREDA (manchester).

Great value for money and very comfortable rooms with excellent service to be had from all staff. Will be booking into here again for the illuminations in 2014.

Me and my family stayed at the henson hotel on the 27th til the 29th of july. The rooms are very tidy and the facilites are very good. The staff made us feel very welcome. A lovely family run hotel. Right next to the pleasure beach witch was a bonus. The food was excellant. Will deffintely stay there again. Thanks again for making my daughters 18th birthday enjoyable.
