Nice hotel close to beachfront.

I would highly recommend people do not stay here. We arrived here and where very unhappy with what we had paid for, we went straight back down to reception, who where very unhelpful and laughed at us with our complaints. I could push my room door open without a key. The man and woman who work here are appalling, the hotel its self is dirty and very unsafe.

'parking available' is in fact a side street which happens to be free. Couldn't control own heat in the room and the heating was on so was red hot and couldn't open a window due to the fact is on a busy road (I should add the trams go up the street late at night when heading to the deppo). The bed was extremely uncomfortable, I could feel the springs under me and only one pillow each made the nights sleep even worse. The bed was smaller than double so we was very cramp. Bathrrom is a bit ming, black shower curtain and that doesn't stay in the shower tray but you will get charged if water damages anything. Also a loo witch is too close to the wall. Staff very polite and welcoming… bonus feature 'Manchester pub' on the doorstep.

We had a family room, double bed and bunks, no room to swing a cat, decor was ok you could tell they are trying to improve the Hotel, smelt damp and musky, bathroom was a good size, but shower cubicle tiny, trying to shower without letting the curtain go on the outside was tricky. HAd no towels or spoons to stir up your tea/coffee, only a very slim wardrobe and one set of drawers for a family of four. Staff very friendly though. More thought needs to be put in the rooms as crammed in, said there was a charge for Wi-Fi but then said you cant get it in your room? So why charge? Whole place outside and in communal areas could do with a lick of paint to improve the appearance. Good value for money as very cheap, but then you only got cheap.

Good hotel with very affordable price. I booked just last minute and I got family room at very cheap price. Hotel owner n his wife are so good. And very welcoming person. And very near to sea side and piers. Lf I would go again Blackpool, I will definitely book this hotel again.

Great Location Friendly staff Cheap price but do not expect the Ritz! Would defiantly go back for a short stay, they have great games room and a bar. No onsite Parking but there is a car park close by for £20 4 days or street parking. Only suggestion would be is to suppy fan in room as the rooms get so hot we would of been lost without bringing our own, however I didn't ask if they had any so who knows!? Thanks :)

Excellent Hotel!. Staff VERY welcoming. Bedroom was immaculate and VERY clean. Bedding also VERY clean, En-suite bathroom VERY clean too. Also a downstairs mini bar with a relaxed chilled out enviroment. Located literally 20 seconds from the beach front and all necessary shops are in good walking distance. Pub (s), chemist, newsagents, chipshops etc. Are located more or less next door to hotel aswell. Rooms are very quiet at nite and you can hardly hear any outside noise at all. This is the best hotel by a mile in Blackpool and on a small budget it is great value for money per nite and even cheaper if you book online!. Me and my partner will definately be back next year!? 10/10 all round.

Stayed here afew weeks ago, staff friendly, had everything in the room that should be, towels, tea, coffee etc, room not a bad size and clean, especially the bedding. Could not complain for the money we paid. Had a good nights sleep, no problem at all.

Basic room… no food allowed in room… bar full of toddlers n babies… staff friendly to a point… and don't dare get water on the bathroom floor… and the TV is at the right height for top bunk of bunk beds…

The couple that booked us in were very nice, if we need anything, towels, toilet rolls etc just ask. Bed linen and room was clean. Had a good nights sleep. All in all a good price and nice room.

Myself and my partner Steven have had another enjoyable stay at the Chiltern hotel. Dee and Pam always make us feel welcome and the rooms are always very clean. They both do not deserve the negative reviews that other guests have posted. We will be staying again soon. Christine and Steven from Bolton xxx.

Cheap and small, has everything you need if you're visiting Blackpool for a few days. Very well located with friendly service. The only con that I have is that the floors and walls seem quite thin so noise such as closing doors can affect all guests.

The rooms very basic run down the bed is as comfortable as the floor and the place smells of curry.

Verry expensive to find telly is small bed sheats are stained bed covers are terrrible carpet is riped I do not recomend to stay here.

Fantastic warm welcoming the owners are very pleased to meet you and very happy to give you a hand with bags I spent a couple of nights having a drink with the owner and we would definitely be happy to come again thank you.

We booked here before reading all the bad reviews and couldnt cancel without still having to pay so we had no choice but to go. On arrival the lady behind the counter was friendly enough and even offered us a different room. We were given TV remotes even though on some reviews it says they had to pay £20. The rooms were clean and the beds were spotless which I was most worried about due to what other reviews said. Shower was nice and hot but take own towels. Windows block out noise from outside good enough. Good value for money on a short stay of 1 or 2 nights. Not suitable for a longer stay as no breakfast offered.

Although location is good but it doesn't have basic facilities… No free Wi-Fi, no breakfast. Extra charges were levied for a small kid of 3 years & this fact was emailed on the day of check-in when there was no option of cancellation and 50% of charges were debited and I had informed about the kid at the time of booking.

Absolutely horrible night we had. Me and my friend and her daughter had gone for a girly getaway just for a night and booked to stay at this hotel. On arrival we were told we wasn't allowed to take our pram in the room and that it will be locked in the "bar area". We thought this was absolutely ridiculous. And didn't oblige to their ridiculous comment as there wasn't anyone in reception when we arrived back in the hotel and my friends daughter was fast asleep so we found it cruel to wake her. The room didn't look too bad on first glance but when asleep we felt bugs crawling on us and found some in the bed. The floor was crooked so my friends daughter fell over. Just rude staff and an uncomfortable environment. Would 100% never stay here again.

The value for money is shocking! What I paid you would expect breakfast and a decent size room. I got told there would be breakfast through the company I booked however there wasn't. The room wasn't even big enough to swing a cat in! The TV was very small and to top that off the wardrobe was blocking half of it. The owners were very plain and miserable and when I asked if my sister could come up to my room as I finished getting ready they replied no which in my opinion is ridiculous. For the price of this hotel you would expect so much better. Sorry guys, I will not be staying here again.

The room was very basic but also very cheap perfect for someone on a budget visiting blackpool. The owners were very polite and friendly and very helpful. Good location very close to all the attractions. Free parking towards the back of the hotel. Would possibly stay there again.

Absolutely disgusting place firstly the room was tiny What wasn't a problem but things were to get a lot worse after washing my face in sink I realised are toilet was empty i. E. The water from toilet is what we were washing our faces in we then went and informed staff and went out for the night on return we had a note on bed saying plz use offer room for toilet we did but the room stunk like someone had been ill we went back to are room witch was worse to find our shower sink and toilet full of what can only be described as feces not mine either as has not used toilet I then noticed they had used a full bottle of 50 pound perfume of mine to try mask the smell I went downstairs to find manager but no one was around as was late I had no choice but to stay after spending most my night feeling sick with smell. Few hours later I finally got to see manager who wasn't willing to refund and damm right rude to point he was screaming in my face I have took matters into my own hands and rang environmental health who are disgusted as I am. The manager even tried to charge me said it was my problem not theirs then asked us to leave not for faint hatred picks in comments this place needs closing down budget rooms my arse be Better sleeping in a public toilet.

A total slum I have no idea how this place even has a licence to operate. It is a health hazard. Our room was filthy and smelly and we had flies. My partner opened the window and the smell was s bad I was nearly sick. The yard below our window was full of rubbish, the down pipes had fallen off and the place resembled a landfil. We paid £88.00 for two nights so we expected basic but this place is nothing but a slum and needs closed down. When we complained we were told "not my rubbish, not my problem. Complain to whoever you like, your not getting your money back" When my partner started to get annoyed and swore the proprietor became aggressive saying "dont get me started" This place should come with a health warning that states enter at your own risk! Im unable to add pictures here but they are on trip advisor.

Absolute shit hole. Wouldn't let us check in — thankfully the owners called the police who where of help to us, and got us to another hotel who where happy to help us. Even the police where baffled. We weren't rude, we weren't aggressive, we where actually much more calm than the ranting owner (even with the prospect of a night sleeping rough) So rude. In future — I would sooner shit in my hands and clap than try to stay here.

Unfriendly receptionist, rooms are tiny and don't get made, they want money to use a TV remote, it's a great place to book for anyone you hate. Terrible…

That's how bad this place is! You can't post the truth about it being a shit hole! You have to rate it stars! Terrible place! It's a dive! Shit hole! Shagging place! Drunks paradise!

The hotel is well run a family hotel I really enjoy the hotel and a big bonus with the hotel is the shop next door c j tuck shop the prices are so cheap and the chubby man who works in there who made my holiday price marked items and he put a smile on my face and my partners face.

I think the chilton hotel is a lovely cheap option for travelling to blackpool, clean, convenient room, with lovely owners who are very polite and helpful at a bargain price.

Without a doubt the WORST place I have ever experienced to date with regards hotels I have stayed the night. Avoid this hotel at all costs, find somewhere else to stay —.

The room was cold my kids got a cold after staying there for the first night. Have to change hotel would not go there again. There was a TV in the room an where the beds were we could not c the TV the lady at the decks said if we need any thing we should ask when we did need something she was no where to be found. Sorry to say I would not even book this for my dog.

How do I begin this. I would not recommend this to anyone at all, I wish I went somewhere else the first night I stayed there. The beds are so uncomfortable I would of slept on the floor but the room was so small that I couldn't even feel comfortable in that place. customer service was very poor, we asked for an extra blanked but the person was so rude asking us lots of questions why we need it and by the end of it we didn't even get what we asked for, we didn't want to be rude and say it was horrible beds so we ended up, having the worst sleep of are life's. The TV thing give them £20 to use the remote and they give it back to us, sorry to say its a hotel, in your adverts you said there's a plasma big TV but what we got was a 12inch TV that we didn't even watch because it was useless to give them £20 to watch useless TV that I couldn't even see. Positive only one positive thing about this hotel is that its by the coast so you actually walk out and you can forget about the horrible hotel. recommend whoever wants to stay here please don't, rather pay extra for something way better. best part of hotel, they charged me £50, 2 days after I left.
