This hotel is the best hotels ive been to in blackburn all the way the staff are friendly and try their best to make you feel at home and try to give you or help you with everything in their will to give you a nice night and morning all the awful reviews I dont reccomend because half of them have not even entered the hotel but the ones that have and gave it a bad review I have to say it has changed so if there is anymore reviews for improvement they will read your comment and will improve.

The rooms aren't the most modern, but clean and comfy but for the price four star No its the early breakfast which gives a good start to the day I recommended the ASEAN omelet It's now 2 month's since my review me and my workmates have been bean staying since January always paying on arrival We've put up with the hot but small showers TV s that tune in when it wants no mater how much you try to improve the signed (dont forget a cromcast) We would have put up with its faults except one of our men came midweek. When it came pay no fault of hiss wos unable to use hiss card that day. Payment wos still reqerd he found difrent acomerdain (in the van) We travel the country and try to return to places we stop. But I now shall find alternative rooms for the completion of the the contract as thay should us no loyalty thay get non from me.

Car park not easily obvious to find, but decent once we found it! The hotel building itself could do with a bit of a fix up, bit inside we were pleasantly surprised. Nice decor, decent sized rooms and not as "tired" looking as we'd expected. Ultimately, for the price, a decent place to stay. Staff knocking on the door in the morning twice was a bit annoying — asking when we were leaving. But meh.

For the price I think it exellent staying there till friday and hopefully still working round here for a bit more and deffo here will be the place to stay lovely bathrooms and rooms.

Bathroom needs shelves curtain stuck to you floor was wet through when had shower. Was a cold room heating was very low net curtain was to short so had to pull curtain back. Was noisey as think family members stay there other than that bed was comfy and clean. Was ok to stay for night.

Stayed over with my partner for new years eve, whilst visiting friends in Blackburn. I was greeted by the receptionist who couldn't do enough, top bloke. The room was spotless and more importantly the bed was very comfortable! Whilst on my stay my partner needed the address of the hotel, whilst looking for that we stumbled upon some very frightening reviews, I was shocked that all these things had been written about this hotel. To be honest if I would have read them first I wouldn’t have booked and missed out on a great laugh. I spoke to the receptionist about the reviews and he told me that they are mostly fake and just competitors. Honestly me and my partner loved our stay here and we will be returning!

We often use, The Hill View Hotel to book our Engineers in when in Blackburn for work. We have always recived great feedback about the hotel, on numerous occasions. The staff are always helpful and the facilitys are better then most hotels in this price range. We will continue to use this hotel when in Lancashire.

Nice hotel, did the job. The hotel was a modern hotel and well kept throughout. My room was clean and the shower was amazing. The breakfast was tasty but could do with a smaller portion in future. Lastly the staff were very helpful and made my stay enjoyable :) Thank you to all the staff at the Hill View Hotel. Look forward to staying here again next month and would recommend to a friend.

I am completely dissatisfied with the services provided. By hill view hotel. The room provided was extremely tiny, the height was approximately 4.5 foot from one side! I spoke to the members of staff and the managers to see if I could change the room. They were not only rude and disrespectful they didn't help in any way. I don't understand how this place was even approved by the Blackburn council! I don't recommend this place, the members of staff are rude and unprofessional. Very poor customer services I give 0 rating.

After reading all the mixed reviews I decided to visit the hotel to providd an accurate review for those wishing to book a low-cost Hotel… I have found this Hotel to be nice, clean and tidy in comparison to many other no-frills hotels and it has also been refurbished to a decent standard. I can assure anyone that the facilities provided are fantastic for the ridiculously low price you will pay per room per night. The rooms feature a TV and are en-suite with tea and coffee facilities.

Small room. Not the greatest. Cheap and cheerful. You really get what you pay for with this place.

Ive stayed at many hotels in Lancashire and this was by far the best one. Some of the reviews are so inaccurate. This was a great hotel, it was newly refurbished and the staff were welcoming and great. I got a free upgrade from a standard room to an ensuit room. The room was of a very high standard and it was all crisp and clean. Would recommend to anyone.

Absolutely disgusting! Only stayed half hour before packing my bags and leaving! Went down the road to smalesbury hotel which was excellant. I have pictures showing the dirt left on the floor and old underwear from previous guests. I wouldn't pay £5 let alone £55

Extremely rude and unhelpful staff. Booked room online and was running late due to traffic on motorway. Charged me full amount on my card and did not let me check in. Was stranded without a place to stay the night. Beware of poor service, and book at your own risk! Reply to comment: Why would I thank the staff for staying late when it clearly states online that your reception is open 24 hours?! That makes no sense! If you advertise a service, then honour it. You still charged me for staying the night. Anyone with common sense will see how many negative 1/5 reviews you have on here. Funny when you notice the random 5/5 reviews in between the appalling ones! Clearly reviews written by your team! If you want positive feedback from guests, I highly recommend you sort your poor customer service out!

Hill View Hotel Is Spiritual To Me And The Staff Are Very Kindred, Sincere And Faithful. The Staff Maintain A High Level Of Cleanliness. The Food Tastes Very Nice. Moses Would Be Proud Of Them Always. Adam Is Present Here, And Moses Will Always Smile With Him From Above. Mark Eternal.

Stayed at this place due to a business trip, I'd heard mixed reviews. Gladly they where wrong. I found the place nice clean and tidy. Yes the place has just been refurbished and it's nice, my room was 40% of what the bigger players in this market offer but what I got was in my view allot better. The facilities in the onsuite was really nice and good to see individually sealed soaps and shower gel, not a big fan off dispensers, just seems wrong and unhygienic. The bathroom had also been refitted to a high standard. Nice TV and good quality tea and coffee, plenty to go around, nice to see. Customer service was nice too, all in all I really had a nice stay and hope you do too.

Terrible! Rooms is small stuff take too long time shower to share dirty and its my wedding day! I feel so bad like dont wana anything any more…

Absolutely awful. I read 1 star reviews for this establishment across the board. From TripAdvisor to Google. I decided to save a few quid, and ignore the bad reviews I mean how bad could it get? Well my first bad experience was the very rude receptionist, who arrived to his empty desk, took a while to find my booking, took his time. At this point am frustrated. There's an awful smell, the building looks like a run down, unhabited certain famous motel from a certain Hollywood movie. After the long, distressing check in process. Am finally handed my keys to my en suite room, walked up the steps, passing by the poor maintenance work, I enter my room which smelt. My EN SUITE bathroom, was a tiny cubicle with a toilet and a shower. I went on a night out in Blackburn, returned in the evening, pressed the intercom, was allowed in, walked up to my room up the creaky steps, taking pictures for my review. I enter my room, and get a knock on my door, a hotel staff is standing in my doorway. He looke at me, and in a very intimidating manner, asks me if all is okay, as he saw me taking pictures. (He was in his office stalking me via CCTV cameras), I replied Yes thanks. He was persistent and said he saw me taking pictures; and once again asked if all is okay, I replied not to worry. He gave me an aggressive look, after a stare off. He walked off. The breakfast menu was very limited, yet the kitchen staff was very polite. Overall awful experience. Never again.

Tidy and clean for a very reasonable price.

I regularly stay at the hill view hotel. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast is nice and plentiful.

For the money paid, I'd say I was very pleased, warm clean, modern, welcoming, a good nights sleep :-), staff were friendly and love let tea and toast, ready for a journey, Would stay again if this way.

I got to the hotel the bloke that check us in was not polite got in to the room it was I nice room apart from had to ask to have another cup and towel which took them a hour to bring up thimk it is silly to put a plug under a sink the food was to greasy couldn't eat it overall it was the worst place I have ever stayed in I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Nothing, had horrible looks off the staff, didn't tell us what time we had to leave in the morning, was not worth the money I paid certainly won't be going again for sure. Disappointed on so many levels wouldn't recommend to keep my shoes there.

I have stayed at many hotels around Great Britain and a few around the world, this hotel needs to upper their standards if they want to be classed as a Hotel. The room was at the normal standard however the shower did stop working as there was no hot water, someone said they will look at it, but no one did. I received a fresh towel for the second day but not another one for the remaining 3days (4days in total). The biggest problem I had with this hotel was the Respect given to me as a customer, there wasnt no "Thank you for staying, or come again" there was nothing, Found them very rude. I suggest if anyone wants to stay at a hotel / B&B to choose someone else. The first and Last time I will be staying here. Shame really, the place had potential.

The hotel is a filthy shambles. Upon arriving we were shown to a room where the sheets had not even been cleaned since the previous occupants. There was no Wi-Fi despite this being one of the advertising points and the shared bathroom and toilet facilities were disgusting. We complained and asked for money back. The manager agreed to this and after all was sorted, claimed that we had cancelled the room and needed to leave. The process of sorting this out was long and arduous and it was as clear that the owner had used this trick before on previous occupants. The hotel was literally falling apart with parts of the walls held together with sellotape and parts of the ceiling lying on the floor. Worst hotel and nights sleep of the life. Avoid and all costs.

Got breckfast after 2 hours.

Wouldn't recommend. Broken TV, place smelt very strongly of eastern spices, which gives you a headache after a while, and makes you wonder what the smell is masking, dirty bathroom, broken sink in room, very thin walls, spent the night listening to some lady shouting down the phone. Oh, and bring your own towels, the ones supplied smell musty. Did not get the included breakfast as the owners/ keepers were still in bed well after the stated breakfast time, and the time I needed to leave. There are much nicer, even cheaper B&B's/Guest houses minutes away.

Probably the worst place I've stayed this side of Delhi. Cash only, NO English, dirty. Website photos misleading.

I stayed here for one night and couldnt get out quick enough the next morning. The mirror/washing unit in my room was on the ground when I went into my room. I had a very strange man staying in the room next to me. Breakfast was a disaster also — worse scrambled eggs on toast Ive ever had — hardly touched it. Sorry, but that was my experience.
