What wonderful, friendly accommodation.

Food isn't brilliant, staff are slow and some are rude. The whole place needs knocking down and starting again. It's very dated.

Had Christmas dinner here and was so disappointed. The meal come out with no potatoes, turkey roll instead of turkey. 3 sprouts and swimming in wattery gravey. Looked like a microwave meal. Very very dissapointed.

It was a great venue and very family orientated, everyone had a great time. The staff were outstanding and very cheerful. I would recommend it to anyone who asked.

This hotel is a disaster! Fingers off! We paid for the room in cash and in advance, but had to make 100 pounds of deposit by credit card. I was assured that this amount was not deducted from my account, which was a lie. I have been waiting for my money for 10 days now, which is an absolute scandal!

We had our wedding renewals dinner here and I couldnt of wanted more. Chantelle was amazing, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all. The kids loved the garden, the sun was shining and we stayed there all evening. I couldn’t recommend the grangemoor enough and would definatley book again for a function in the future. All the staff were so helpful & accomodating! perfect. Can’t wait to go back for our afternoon tea and Sunday carvery.

Beautiful hotel. Room was a bit stuffy but it was incredibly hot during my visit! Breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was but tasted fine.

Good value hotel, calling out the receptionist when we checked in for a special mention, friendly and helpful, booked cabs and made sure we knew where we were.

Enjoyed a great evening here for a Golden Wedding Anniversary meal. Good food and good service!

I stayed for one night with my Mum. Our room decor, the furniture & facilities e. G. Shower & hairdryer were very dated. We didn’t feel they were consistent with what we expected from looking at the website.
We had several issues with breakfast in the morning. The service was very slow, as the dining room was packed and there were only two waitresses serving. They were both harassed, confused and making mistakes. We had items missing from our meals & didn’t get what we requested.
I complained at the time and requested a refund. I was spoken to like trash by one particular staff member, argued with and accused of lying. I notice from some other reviews that similar things have happened to other guests.
I was told no one there could authorise a refund, so I should complain to the manager by email. I did, but my refund request was refused because she chose to side with her rude, dishonest staff member over me. The issues apparently, were my fault.
I said I intended to post negative reviews & was advised that it was my prerogative to do so. I am sure the manager will reply to this, no doubt blaming me once again, but I advise you to take any response with a pinch of salt. I would also strongly advise choosing somewhere else to stay if you’re in Maidstone.

Carvery was okay, some of food was well over done and no second helping. However for price which was reasonable cheap. Though other carvery I would recommend.

This is popular for events as well as casual dining and as a hotel. It's outside the town centre, but near enough, and has good parking.

Lovely bar area. Reasonable prices for drinks. Staff were efficient and polite. Would go again.

Went here for the Sunday carvery. Nice decor, good selection of vegetables & choice of 3 meats. The pudding was acceptable, but not great, but all-in-all a nice lunch at an ok price.

Just ok. Would stay again if in area. However showers are for people less than 5 foot tall!

Good nights sleep and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable, although walls seemed thin; could hear people outside the room quite clearly in the mornings. This was a good distance from town for a reasonable walk rather than needing to pay for a taxi; I'd likely stay again if I was in the area.

Research before you book. Overflow accomadation out of date and you may find your not in the hotel. Express your acomadation needs and access when booking…

Some staff were rather rood and others were helpful. But I will not be going again.

Ok, a bit outdated. The room was extremely small, the door from the loo looked like a cupboard because of the size of the room.

Positives: close to town centre, free parking, very friendly staffs Negatives: everything else… rooms quality are poor, noise, you will hear everything that's going on in other rooms such as tv, other guest talking, walking, breathing so forget about getting a good night sleep… We've stayed there twice and each time it was a terrible experience Just do yourself a favour and go somwhete else even if you have to pay more…

Good independent local family run Hotel Comfortable rooms with all the amenities including free Wi-Fi Delicious breakfast and nice staff Night porter on duty for those wishing to check in late Will most certainly use again.

Attended a wedding and found the organisation, staff and food to be brilliant. Top marks.

Quiet room even when an event was going on downstairs, good shower and space and a really good breakfast in the morning. Cracking place.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Grange Moor is close to Maidstone centre, which as you can imagine, made it really quite noisy with traffic. Rooms are very clean and staff are very helpful. I would advise taking ypur own soap, as the dispensers they have are terrible. When you eventually manage to get a bit of soap, the soap makes your skin itch. So those woth especially sensitive skin, do NOT use. Excellent location for getting about. The beautiful river Medway just down the road where you can take a river cruise, or have a spot of lunch.

We stayed for one night as it was the closest hotel to our friends house who were having a house warming. Plenty of parking, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was adequate and comfortable although slightly dated. Would recommend staying and personally would have no problem staying again.

We were in the annex building a few houses down, not a problem. However the room was badly dated. It was physically clean but just looked awful. Bathroom was no better with some rust on the fixtures. The bed was not to my personal comfort. It was hard and my legs hung over the end when lying straight. If you 6ft or over, you will experience the same. Our breakfast was no better. We both had the full Englush. My wife's egg was poorly cooked, sent it back and the same egg recooked and dumped on the plate. I sent mine back as it just tasted horrible, fresh plate came out, no better. Will be staying elsewhere next time I'm in town.

Attendance of a first aid course, the Moor room we had was small and a little dated. The hotel is well located close to town. Tea and coffee was fine.

Upon arrival there was ample parking available and the receptionist was friendly and chatty. Breakfast was not included in the price, but was offered at a discount when checking in. The rooms were comfortable and a good size, with hot chocolate included on the hospitality tray (always a bonus! ) Although the decor was a little tired it was certainly clean, and the rather lumpy bed was large enough to find a comfortable area to sleep in. My colleague and I had dinner in the restaurant. As with the rest of the hotel, this area is in need of an update, but the food was very good and served with a smile. Breakfast the following morning was generous and tasty, although it seemed there were too few people working to ensure speedy service and cleared tables for the relatively few residents. The area surrounding the hotel is nice, feeling safe and probably expensive to live in. There are more churches than I can imagine the local population knows what to do with. I'll consider the hotel again if work brings me to the same area. It's not five-star by any means, but offered a perfectly reasonable experience for a very good price for the area.

I've just stayed at the Grange Moor for a wedding and whilst the staff were without exception friendly and helpful, the beds were REALLY uncomfortable (you could feel the springs, they sloped in the middle etc). I spoke with several other guests about this and they all had the same issue so I don't think I got unlucky with my room. If they fix that (rather significant) issue then this would be a lovely little hotel.

Grange Moor Hotel has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are helpful yet not at all obtrusive allowing you to have a relaxing stay, The resturante provides wholesome and tasty food and is good value, used by many visitors as well as locals for their annual occasions. The functions are well attended and greatly enjoyed too. There is a comfortable bar area for a drink and place to read and or chat. All in all I would recommend it for both business and visitors to the area.

Food was nice but decor could do with a bit of an update.

Stayed Here for 1 night. Was really nice had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant both were really well prepared and definitely left full. Would recommend to friends and definitely stay here again.

Very disappointed. The couloir smelt really really really bad like rotten bananas mixed with old carpets. I was in the room number 1 very claustrophobic to sleep in. At about 4 am I woke up with a huge dry and sore throat the other person sleeping in the room with me as well. I looked through the window to find any clue and there was a huge black ventilation just under the window. Now after one day back home Im really sick (cold and flu like symptoms). Please Wake Up!

Very satisfied with my stay. Clean well furnished rooms. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Location was an easy walk into local restaurants and bars would recommend anyone stay there.

Hotel was nice, room a bit on smallish side but clean. Food was lovely dinner and breakfast.

Well organised n enjoyable refreshments provided with room. Table decorations left something to be desired though.

Went for dinner with family. Food was absolutely amazing, service a bit slow, however the waiter who was a younger version of Manuel was hilarious.

The management/owner of this hotel is not interested in pleasing customers but only making ££. In turn she lost all 5 customers on Tuesday evening. I stay in hotels all over v regularly for business, and this was probably the worst hotel experience in 15 yrs…. Poor dated rooms, reminded us all of care homes that were in desperate need of a refurb. Told by reception after we had paid that we need to cross and walk down the road to the''actual hotel" (with all luggage and work equip). No assistance offered. Twin room was by far the most atrocious of them all. Certainly not big enough to accommodate two adults. The bathroom was hideous, with half a bath squeezed in and a random chair taking up a third of room. When we asked if we could put one of the adults into a separate room after paying £65 for it (you'd expect to be able to manoeuvre in your room! ), they said a flat no. Not without a further £60+! We explained how unfair the situation was and how unhappy we felt, however the manager and proprietor both said no as there were only 'two' available rooms left in the hotel. They were however, happy to give us all a refund, which we most certainly took and promptly moved to another hotel, same price, only about 100 times better (Weald Kent).

We were given a twin room which wasn't in the main building. It was a converted attic room with literally half a bath and a chair. There was a wooden beam obstructing clear use of the toilet. My colleague is 6'2" and very big needless to say it wasn't suitable and no discount or anything was offered when we complained. We were a party of 5 and needless to say we all obtained refunds and left. The manager was totally unhelpful and would rather lose money than assist or deal with our complaint.

I can recommend this hotel. I found a friendly reception, a good bed, and it was quite at night. Good breakfast. Interior looks somewhat dated, but that is UK-style, I like that.

Grange Moor Hotel provided us with a lovely one night stay. The double room was clean warm and well equipped, the extra pillows and blankets — perfect. The king-sized bed very comfy! Tea and coffee making great asset. The breakfast was tasty and served hot! All the Staff seem very friendly and polite. Would defiantly recommend this hotel. The £49 we paid was well worth it. Well done Grange Moor.

Great place, service very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent both at breakfast and for dinner. The location was was perfect for me, room size was good and very clean. Really good value for money.

Visited UK again and stayed in Grange Moor Hotel for the second time during the first week of March. Weather was hostile but the stay in the hotel made up for it. Food was great, bed comfortable and the staff could not be more helpful. The experience was as good as when we stayed a couple of years ago. The hotel was busy as it seemed to have a lot of business people staying there but the check in was fast and efficient. The hotel has free Wi-Fi free parking and the room rate included full English breakfast so all together made the cost of our stay was very reasonable.
