I visited with friends for the first time today. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful waitress who took our order. The food was delicious. My pork belly was the best I’ve had and my friends were equally delighted with their food. We will definately be back, thank you. X.

I have visited here a few times for lunch and dinner on various occasions, and everytime the quality of the food and the service from the staff have been amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff and friendly and very helpful. Good selection of food avaliable with specials too. Would recommend The Red Lion to anyone wanting a fabulous meal and drink.

As a family of 8 we were on our holiday nearby&called to have a meal. The staff were really accommodating, really friendly&helpful&as for the food it was absolutely gorgeous, would definitely recommend a visit❤️👍

Have been here several times, always great food, v clean and efficient and friendly service and handy to have a carpark so easy access for anyone not able to walk too far.

Waited over an hour for basic ham, egg & chips. Small portions.

We stayed here last August for 1 night cos it was close to the Romney — Dymchurch — Hythe railway and it is a fantastic place, lovely quirky room, great food and so friendly staff, they even came with an extra flake when they found out I love them and it was my birthday :-) We will absolutely come back again soemtime.

Great food. Fish and chips and the tikka halloumi wrap. Was nice at hot when I got it home. Highly recommend.

Delicious food. Four of us went, two were vegans. There’s a special additional menu. All the food was freshly made, tasted incredible, none of it was microwaved or processed.
Beautifully presented & the staff were friendly happy and knowledgable.

What a refreshing change to have such great service. My children and I were made to feel really welcome on our first visit to the Red Lion. One of the owners took the time to chat to the kids and it made them feel really special! My son said his burger was 'the best ever' and the puddings were amazing. We'll definitely be back.

From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with friendly smiles. I was not expecting this pub to be so lovely. The service was absolutely charming and quick, and the staff are so friendly. The food was lovely too. I will definitely absolutely be coming back! THIS is the way to run a pub!

Have to recommend the Red Lion. Celebrated my birthday there Saturday 16th November 2019. What a night! Staff were so efficient and welcoming. Food was great, no problem coping with a group of 24. Had a wonderful night to remember. Many thanks. X.

Very large birthday party in restaurant so we ate in the Bar Restaurant.
Awesome food, great service and friendly atmosphere.

Of the most luxurious accommodation available, but clean and comfortable, along with staff who make you feel more than welcome. Delicious meals of ample proportions as well, all reasonably priced.

We've stayed here recently and come back to dine tonight. Very clean, the staff cant do enough for you very helpful, food is great too plenty on the menu and at good prices. We will be back!

A wonderful clean pub, freshly decorated (it feels it is) Good ale, especially the Romney (local) ale. Lovely staff and live band (on ASchool night) (Thursday). Large garden too.

Friendly helpful staff, plenty of outdoor seating. Good fish and chips served promptly. Clean toilets though strange noises can be heard by n the ladies, emanating from the equipment and not the ladies.

Amazing family and dog friendly pub, clearly lots of regulars and locals but also a lovely warm welcome by staff for visitors too. Food was great too, we could high recommend this place to all. The staff really made my son’s day!

After a very long day in Hythe the wife and I went for a quick drink to chill out.
We received really good service from the bar staff and our two little dogs were allowed in as well so we stayed and had some food that was first class.
I will definitely go back when I’m in Hythe next.

Wonderful atmosphere. I am a member of Waspi and we meet here on the last Tuesday of the month. The manager also accommodates a salsa group on the same night. Everyone feels welcome even if it's busy. Fab food.

Amazing traditional pub. Spotless, great food and exceptionally friendly and attentive owners and staff. The best burger I've had in ages.

Very disappointing, eaten here several times with no complaint. Not sure if its changed hands but food was well below standard. Rib-eye steak wad more like rump and the chef obviously didn't know the difference between medium rare and well done! Lamb on roasted vegetables turned out to be lacking roasted vegetables but had green beans and potato! Never again I'm afraid.

The burgers are quite good, especially the Chicken Cajun burger. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff.

De Red Lion is een leuke, karakteristieke bar met vriendelijk personeel en een goede atmosfeer. Er is een ruime tuin met terras. Het eten is goed in de Red Lion. Ik het weekend kan het druk zijn en kan het vinden van een parkeerplaats lastig zijn. Normale prijzen voor het eten en drinken. Er is geen bediening in de tuin.

What a lovely pub, friendly staff, lovely food and basic but very clean rooms would definitely recommend this well run pub.

Food here is excellent! Staff are very friendly and it is dog friendly too. Vegetarian meals are a bit limited but the chef will try and accommodate a special request. Sunday roast is amazing!

Good food and friendly staff but it's not a "cosy" pub. Plenty of room for large parties and a good outside garden for the summer months.

We had a party in the pub and also stayed. Room was clean and a great size, lots of space. The food was really good and our party of 30 all enjoyed it. Breakfast in the morning was a good full English. Would definitely recommend the red lion.

Very good evening out with 22 friends, the food was very good and tasty, atmosphere and service good. Only minor thing l would say is that the potions slightly small. And I personally hate potion post of custard are a waste of time. But I would go back with confidence in the pub, food and service.

Lovely food. If it's on the menu I would recommend the steak and ale pie. Also good to see local ales served.

Delicious food and good service. I went for the brie and the three meat roast, which came with plenty of meat, potatoes and trimmings, with loads of veg. Good price for the amount of food, and a good selection of beers to wash it down. Very happy.

We had our first visit here last night. And have to say the food was amazing. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Compliments to the chef.

Very good only fault Hall and stairs way in red and grey very dark x certainly not a woman's choice needs to be light and fresh like the bedrooms x.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the Red lion. Very polite and helpful staff. Lovely breakfasts, and our room was just the right size for us. Very comfy bed, large en suite shower room, and also seating for relaxing. A very pleasant stay. Thank you to all the staff for your hospitality. We will certainly visit you again.

Fantastic place to stay or visit. The rooms are lovely, breakfast is extra but well worth it. The food all day is amazing, they also have a children's menu. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, a very nice pub.

Just stopped over for a few drinks before a wedding reception. Lovely bar. Nice outside area.

Nice big rooms, good value, and friendly staff. A bit of traffic noise but not too bad. We didn't have the breakfast as we had friends in another hotel and only guests can have breakfast so we went elsewhere to eat together.

Friendly staff. Nicely decorated. Nice room. Great food. I was unable to make breakfast in the morning but they kindly provided a breakfast bag to take away. Would recommend.
