We stayed at the View hotel 2 nights.
Friday and Saturday. On arrival we we’re met at reception by a lovely lady who checked us in. All good. We went to the room via a lift as we were on the 4th floor.
The room was very clean lovely fresh bedding and a huge very comfy bed. Slept like a log.
In the bathroom we had a nice size shower and a toilet with toil trees and shower gels shower cap and lovely white towels.

For are meal we chose from the menu 2 meals for £20 was very nice. We had baked Camembert, liver pate. Main course
Fillet steak (pay little extra) lamb shank and veg. Was very nice.
There was live music in the hotel bar which was fab. Lots of singing.
The staff were very happy and extremely polite and very knowledgeable about the area. As we never been to Folkestone before. The breakfast was great nothing was to much if you asked you got it. Phillip the restaurant manger is a lovely guy. Likes to work out … full English was lovely lots of fresh fruit smoked salmon. Cereal pastries.

A beautiful boutique hotel in a great spot close to Leas Cliffs Hall and the railway station, with sea views. Great decor, comfortable rooms, buzzy bar area serving afternoon snacks and great happy hour cocktails. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful venue for my mum's 60th birthday today, we had loads of compliments on the gorgeous setting and great buffet. Staff were absolutely wonderful, attentive and welcoming. Organising the whole event was a breeze and we all had a fantastic day.

Great place to stay. Booked twice for family. Had a few teething issues the first time after it had just opened, but these mostly seem fixed one year on. Lovely decor, and really nice rooms. Disabled/wheelchair access is just about adequate, but not great. You will need someone fairly strong to push a wheelchair up the very steep ramp round the side of the building. Be sure to book the very good restaurant ahead of time. It’s popular and being a guest at the hotel gives you no preferential treatment.

I expected way more from this place than what I had actually gotten in term of a visit. So my stay here started off late at night but the hotel was expecting me. I arrived and turned up to the hotel to find there was no parking at all. So after moving to a five minute walk away I checked in. I booked this hotel online and booked a twin room, then a few days later the hotel phoned and asked if it was indeed a twin room I was wanting. My reply was yes. So I checked in and went up stairs using the elevator, went into the room finding that it was actually a double. I then approached reception to find no one there and rung the bell a few times, several minutes passed and nothing. The staff eventually came and I addressed my complaint to him, he apologised and said split the beds and he would drop off some bedding. The bedding he dropped off was a duvet and a bed sheet. No duvet cover or additional pillows. Not a good start at all. Next is the room, its very small with a decent sized wardrobe. You get bigger rooms in a travel lodge for a cheaper price! The room included Wi-Fi and room service (no one answers the phone). My next complaint is the fact that there's no air conditioning, though there is a swivel fan. But it was far to loud to sleep with on so it got turned off. It was a very hot night. The beds are very comfy though and clean. In the morning I went for the breakfast service, which is sub standard.

Phillip at check in was impolite and unwelcoming. No small Le not even a hello when we walked in. Just a “name? ” Then he pulled out a piece of paper plonked it on the desk and Just looked at us and then opened his arms out and shrugged! I asked him he wanted and he said “2 signatures” We then asked about the restaurant and he said “it’s shut” (20:50 seems early to close on a Friday!? ) no sorry, no recommending somewhere for us — just stared at us. Very odd! Room was fine, big enough double room with nice view, although shower controls didn’t work properly. Good location. Parking is all on-street, all spaces full by time we arrived but we just parked further away and walked no problem. Breakfast Very acceptable. Great cup of tea. Super sticky tables but waitresses were friendly. Checkout lady must have been married to Phillip as she just stared at us too! No good morning, how was your stay, or even a thank you! Won’t be going back — a few please and thank you’s seems much too difficult for this hotel!

Great value hotel. Spacious family room. Good breakfast. Clean and good finish rooms. Top notch. Great location : seaside.

Absolutely Beautiful Setting! We had a wonderful night's stay in the gorgeous hotel, great value for money! Staff were lovely and very helpful with extreamly easy check-in and out and bar staff were so friendly and welcoming! We can't wait to come back again.

A lovely hotel in a nice location. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and had a great sea view. The staff are friendly but there's not much to do around Folkestone. There is no private parking but on street parking is free. Drinks in the bar are very expensive so have a look at the price list before you order.

You have to make sure you book a room facing the front otherwise you don't get a spacious room. They have a fantastic restaurant which I recommend and a spacious bar wher e you can take your drinks outside on the terrace facing the Leas promenade. They do great coffee!

Beautiful place our room was stunning over looking the sea. I could not fault our stay at all we even stayed a extra night because we didn’t want to leave. Staff were lovely & very helpful & breakfast was so good will definitely come back.

Perfect location. Facing the sea in a completely renovated building, this hotel has a breathtaking view of the sea. From my room on a clear day I saw the French coasts. A smooth dike like billiards allows children to cycle or scooter. Access to the sea is done by walking down the cliff through a beautiful landscaped garden. The hotel is very clean and the staff very welcoming. USB plugs to charge your phone on each side of the bed and free Wi-Fi. English channels only, pity except for those who only want the ambiance "British". International and British breakfast very well served. Too bad that the decoration is not authentic, it comes from China, it removes a point to the charm of the hotel. Adjoining Restaurant convenient.

We stayed here for one night. The rooms are huge and very clean. Beds comfy! The bathrooms are clean and the shower was powerful. The breakfast was excellent. We will definitely be staying there again. It's beautifully decorated.

Hotel was clean, staff were friendly and dealt with queries straight away. Love the warm welcome you get when entering the lobby. The food and drinks were great. I'll definitely come again.

I came here for a family dinner recently. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has wonderful high ceilings which create a rather grand feeling. We sat at a lovely round table set in a bay window. The chairs felt slightly too low against the table height. That said, the food was fabulous and there was a good selections of wines. The vegetarian options could be wider & the desert spoons a little smaller but the service was very good, particularly for a packed restaurant.

Had a lovely stay at the view hotel. The meal was excellent, the room was clean and fresh, on the top floor with a sea view, fantastic breakfast in the Morning, the staff were friendly and very helpful… if I stay in Folkestone again the view hotel will be my first choice! Very happy.

Very nice room with a very comfortable bed (lighting could be a little brighter though). USB sockets on every power socket and multiple sockets next to bed (otherwise sides), just where you want them! Reasonable room rate. Very lean and new looking both inside & out. Food in adjoining restaurant is very tasty too.

Went there for a work lunch. There was a good selection of quality tapas food. Friendly staff and professional service.

Fantastic hotel with extremely friendly staff. We had a very spacious family room with lateral sea view and we felt very comfortable. The food in the restaurant and the tapas in the bar are excellent. The location of the hotel is first class — especially with children, one is in a few minutes on a large playground.
The house is highly recommended and we will be happy to come back.

Have enjoyed cocktail evening, dinner party and more recently afternoon tea. Friendly staff and accommodating, even last minute. Child friendly. Great place anytime of the day.

Great location for sea front & town. First impressions where good but then we noticed a few negatives. Number one was the room and hotel was boiling hot as no air conditioning and the weather was in the high 20s in fact it reached 30c. Our room had a fan but it only moved the hot air around.
The bar looked nice but very unorganized and we got fed up with waiting in a queue so went else where to have a drink. Also anyone can use the bar so all the outside tables & chairs had gone so there wasn't anywhere for us to sit and enjoy the hotel views.
Parking was a nightmare.
The breakfast was a big let down, we thought there would be fresh fruit to have with the yoghurt s but there was only whole apples & oranges so I had to cut these up which was a bit messy. The cereal was more for children as there were no bran flakes, muesli etc.
The cooked breakfast looked ok but had no poached eggs.
As we were leaving the breakfast room at 08:10 we noticed hot pastries and grapefruits were brought out! Surely these should be on the buffet table when customers are arriving not leaving.
We mentioned the heat to the receptionist and she stated that its their first season and they would think of investing in A/C units!
We would definitely check all these points if we were to visit Folkstone again.

Lovely boutique hotel. Really well done out. Called the View hence the lovely picture from my room. Rooms are clean modern. Didn't sample food as I prefer to go for a wander as its summer, but restaurant seems busy. Parking is a bit of a pain, find somewhere on the local roads n walk. Staff super, friendly smiling faces and helpful too. Highly recommended.

Me and my partner stayed here for the bank holiday weekend and found it to be amazing! The staff are so welcoming, nothing is too much to ask! The room was beautiful, it was lovely and modern with an amazing sea view. The food in the restaurant was so lovely and the waiters and waitresses made our evening! The cocktail bar had a great atmosphere and we even got complimentary drinks! I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone! Thank you so much to George and the ladies on reception for everything!
