A unique privelege to stay in such an old charming building with kind hospitality, delicious breakfast & the best towels in England (so far) and close to Cathedral.

A beautiful house with everything you need. We stayed in stable 1 and it was clean and very comfortable. If anything I can critique on is the train that comes past at 5.30am. However, that isn't the owners fault. They provide earplugs if you really need them and are bothered about the trains passing. The breakfast is lovely. I can recommend the local sausages. They are so tasty. The staff are very friendly and the manager is very welcoming. If you need anything all you have to do is ask and they will get it for you. There are games, books, dvd's etc that you can borrow. The house is beautiful and very historic. The lopsided floors really make the charcter of the b&b. The entrance to the car park is extremely tight so if you are an uncomfortable driver then I suggest getting someone to drive it in for you or watch you in/out. I can't wait to come back.

As a family with small children we were unfortunately unable to stay at this great B&B, but the reception staff were truly fantastic in personally phoning other hotels/B&Bs in the area to ask if they had availability for us for the night. The lovely chap couldn’t have done more and we were envious of the other guests able to check in! The other B&B was fine, but we definitely think this is the place to chose in Canterbury. Many thanks to the team in so warmly helping us out.

Friendly, quiet, Venice Room had a very comfortable bed, breakfast lovely, staff helpful and polite loved it would definitely return thank you.

Fabulous staff, amazing rooms quirky library and games room and an honesty bar make this a very special place. Breakfast was outstanding as was the service. Enterting the car park is not for the feint hearted if you drive a larger vehicle. Today Paris, next Venice.

Visited possible wedding reception very polite very curteous would recommend full of character.

We haved stayed here once or twice a year for the past 4 years and always have a pleasant stay. The staff are helpful and polite and we will continue to return when we visit Canterbury. PS I highly recommend the Canterbury and Marrakesh rooms!

Loved my stay here. Was greeted by a very lovely member of staff who showed us around. There's a living area with board games, a garden, an honesty bar with soft and alcoholic drinks where you write what you've taken on a form with your room number and it's added to your bill on check out. Stayed in the Boston room in a large bed with toilet, shower, tv. Breakfast in the morning was served quickly. Couldn't recommend this place more.

Very good service, ceilings are very low due to the age of the building. Breakfast is good, nothing too special.

Great place to stay fantastic staff very friendly and helpful. Right in town. The punt down tbe river is a must do the one that is just up from House of Anges not the one in the middle of town and the city country punt which takw 1 hour is my recommendation. Driveway into house of Anges is narrow, mirrors in on vehicke a must but it is not tbat bad if you approach from opposite side of road straight on. Would stay there again for sure.

Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Friendly staff and a "Paris" was a great room. We will be back.

Staying in the stables rooms. Beautiful garden, nice to be able just walk out of your room into the sunshine. Tasty breakfast. Pretty much perfect.

Very pleasant rooms, each in a theme. I can recommend the Canterbury room, where we stayed. It really fits in the history of the building and surroundings. The bathroom was really small but the shower and its products were brilliant (with excellent pressure! ). The breakfast was good but not amazing. A big bonus was the off street parking. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

A fantastic b&b — the whole place is full of character and each of the rooms is unique. There's space to park and the breakfast each morning has been great. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful hotel with welcoming, friendly staff. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds, pillows and all the little extras often missing in other hotels. The garden was a bonus being pretty and well cared for, even though the weather was bad, we sat in the gazebo with a glass of wine and thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was really good with quality food and options to suit all. If we are in Canterbury again we will return. Top marks.
