Excellent hotel, great food and facilities.

Cannot fault the staff. Absolutely brilliant. Nothing too much trouble. We had the 8 course taster menu with paired wines. Whilst the food was very good, especially the souffle dessert, the wines were quite poor. I felt that the cheaper range of wines had been chosen, but that's just my opinion. Room was spacious and beds very comfy with excellent air conditioning. Spa treatments were fantastic and very reasonable. I would definitely return here.

We had our wedding here in July and I cannot express how helpful and supportive the staff were throughout the whole process. Especially Alexis and Maisie. We felt so special and like nothing was too much trouble. Our guests have said how impressed they were with not only the venue but how attentive the staff were and friendly. Thank you for exceeding our expectations so much and making our day so special. Fully recommend!

We celebrated my in-laws' diamond wedding with a lunch in the function room. The staff were brilliant, with a special mention for Alexis (our event manager). Room was lovely and food was superb.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They all seem to get on well. Service at the bar and during meals was very good. Lovely big bedroom and bathroom.

I came with my sister for use of the spa and had a full body massage after we had cream tea and was amazing experience, every one was lovely 😍 and helpfully the hotel was stunning.! We both said were defo be coming back and would love to stay too…! Thank-you…! Joanne from Ashford.

We stayed earlier this week and cannot fault the room, staff, reception and the food was amazing. Thoroughly recommend trying the taster menu. Our room was very big. Parking is easy. Modern hotel in a historic building. Will go again!

Couldn’t fault it, large bright stylish hallways, our room had a very high ceiling with a skylight, great curtains and blinds made the room lovely and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was plentiful, we had a spa experience with added refreshments, great massage and facial, very relaxing, I actually fell asleep a few times. Refreshments included a Danish pastry and a cappuccino followed by a glass of Prosecco
Perfect, we will be back to try the 7 course menu.

What a lovely hotel. The hotel itself is extremely clean and stylish. In particular the staff in the restaurant and bar were absolutely fantastic. They were so friendly, professional and attentive. The staff in the spa were also very friendly and helpful too.
Rooms, food and atmosphere all excellent. Will definitely come back!

Lovely stay. Covid 19 measures are fantastic and make you feel safe. Rooms comfy and very clean. We had the 7 course tasting menu with the matching wine flight. The food was amazing and loved trying a different wine with each course. The staff very attentive and friendly. Fully recommend this hotel and will book again.

Fantastic meal for my birthday and social distancing etc perfect. Waiting staff were pleasant and smiley despite having to wear the masks and the food was top notch as always. At £17.95 for 2 courses and £21.95 for 3 (we couldn't manage dessert despite the Yarrow serving the best souffle anywhere! ), thos represents great value for high end dining locally.

We stayed last night and was not disappointed.
From check in to check out everything was lovely.
I had a pedicure and my husband had a full body massage and after the sauna.
Our room was beautifully clean and very comfortable.
Our evening meal was absolutely gorgeous, cooked to perfection.
As was the breakfast.
The staff were all friendly and polite and very attentive.
My husband had one negative point and that was there was no shower, I loved the old fashioned roll top bath (which has an hand held shower)

Went back for a second time for a lunch time meal and it was just as good, the food is fantastic, loved every bit of it. Alice who served us even recognised us all from our last visit, how nice was that. Thank you Alice for making us all feel so welcome again, a lovely meal and a lovely reception.

Booked the pamper package, which was £260 for bed and breakfast, a three course meal and a spa treatment for two people. Couldn't fault the hotel rooms as they were clean and modern. The food was tasty and the service was on point. I was very disappointed with the spa, which consists of a small steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi was filthy with a layer of grime coating the edges. Unfortunately as it was 6pm the staff in the spa had gone home and the receptionist kindly wiped the edges but we didn't use the Jacuzzi as the water was still dirty. Overall, it was a decent hotel with friendly and courteous staff. We originally booked the hotel as a spa break, which it really wasn't and we didn't leave the hotel feeling "pampered", which was a shame.

Wow lovely hotel. Went for a celebratory cream tea with my Mum. Staff very friendly, nothing to much trouble. Sandwiches were fresh and very filling. Lovely selection of cakes. Unlimited tea. Will definitely visit again.

Nice hotel, lovely staff and good rooms. We went for a Christmas party and the meat option was miniscule but the vegetarian one was great. The breakfast the next morning was lovely too and the waitress really pleasant.

A very professionally run and luxurious hotel in a lovely old building set in beautiful grounds. The deluxe room was very spacious, bright and airy with huge comfortable bed and lovely roll top bath. Spa facilities are terrific and excellent massage available. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, terrific food choices and excellent service. Overall the stay exceeded expectations.

Beautiful place very quiet and calm atmosphere. Run by lovely polite staff. Set in beautiful grounds. And very clean. Breakfast was very nice and freshly cooked. 100% perfect. Well done keep up the good standards.

Had afternoon tea yesterday wasn't impressed with the 'verandah' felt more like a hospital corridor. The sandwiches were rather thick bread and some edges were dry. Scones jam and cream were lovely and cakes looked lovely but we were too full to enjoy them. There is no choice of teas and we weren't asked if we'd like to take the cakes away.
However overall it was a pleasant afternoon.

We had an evening meal in the excellent restaurant here. College students are heavily involved in running the restaurant, and consequently you can get a great meal for a very reasonable price. Service can be a little erratic, but you've got to learn somewhere! Food and wine were excellent.

What a great place. We did the 7 course tasting menu. Make sure you look on Groupon! You get it for about £55 for 2 people rather than £120 (£60pp). We then did the chosen wine with ever course at £20pp which was excellent. Food & service was stunning & worth every penny!

Just spent 4 nights at the Yarrow with my wife. We both found the staff, food and standard of service to be excellent. The afternoon tea we had was outstanding! There was a sense and spirit of generosity about the place.

We stayed for one night and really could not fault the hotel. The staff were attentive but not intrusive, the chef accommodated our special request for a non-menu meal and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Only Thursday lunch is run by the trainees from the college next door so all the staff were full time and very well trained.
We both had spa treatments and were impressed with the facilities and spa staff. The only thing lacking was a pool but this wasn’t an issue as there was a large jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
We can throughly recommend The Yarrow and would certainly stay again.

The staff and service at this hotel are second to none as are the rooms, the attention to detail and level of facilities astounded me. Utterly marvelous.

I went to lunch for my grandparents 70th and had a delicious 3 course meal. Service was incredible and very fast for service. Food was devine.

Just home from a wonderful Christmas Eve jazz lunch. The staff at the Yarrow were friendly, welcoming and made sure our lunch was enjoyable. The food was amazing. We have eaten in many restaurants around the world and we have found the best in our own home town!

A great location for social events, excellent food and service some provided by the students, well worth a try.

Great service — every person we dealt with was helpful, genuine and accomodating. Rooms are very well done — like new, although no minibars and "Sea views" is a bit of a stretch but you can see it in the distance. Food and drinks both good — room service was super fast and brought up courses one after the other. Best place we've found in the area.

A clean, slick and tidy hotel with a cool modern interior. Prices are very reasonable too. We had a great dinner in the restaurant; we got their tasting menu at a reduced price thanks to Groupon. The wine flight was interesting and fairly well judged as well. The breakfast was good, generous and with a number of options too. Friendly, attentive service. We would definitely stay here again.

Had an amazing three course vegan meal yesterday, they happily accommodated my vegan requirements and my friends who were gluten and dairy free. Great value and great service highly recommended, best vegan meal I have had for ages.

Wonderful meal, with thoughtful and attentive service, can highly recommend the lamb and souffle.

Very good 7 course taster menu. The ambience of the restaurant itself is a little dull/stark? Maybe needs softening a little. Service very attentive although no need to keep asking if food was good!

Had an extremely comfortable and pleasant stay. The hospitality, cheerfulness and professionalism of the staff is superb and a credit to themselves and their trainers.

We only went to the restaurant but we had the seven course taster menu which I would seriously recommend to anyone. It started gently with some soup and gradually increased in taste and flavor up to the meat dish then the crowning glory is their famous raspberry souffle, some cheese to finish with made it perfect. Try it is worth it.

My daughters arranged afternoon tea at the yarrow restaurant on 4th June for my birthday we were seated in the conservatory it was nice food and staff lovely but it was spoilt when a lady from the christening party came into the conservatory and promptly changed her baby's nappy I did tellone of the staff but nothing was done about it. Disappointing.

Lovely room — large, huge comfy bed and big bathroom. About 10 mins walk to seafront and town. Good restoration of an imposing building. Friendly welcome. It's part of the college and used to train for the hospitality industry apparently. Accounts for the most reasonable rate I guess.

What an amazing place, I did not know it was there. It is a little hard to find as you have to drive into the College to park but a lovely hotel. I only had a meeting in the bar but want to come back for a stay. The staff were really friendly and the hotel is stunning. They have a spa and salon on site too. I have to say for a hotel I was really impressed with the coffee, it was eaisly one of the nicest cups of coffee I have had served in a hotel. I will be back to eat and stay soon.

Location really good 5 minutes walk to beach 3 minutes to town. Very nice hotel, food excellent room was amazing had everything we need very nice and clean.

Very beautiful hotel. Reasonable prices, stayed for spa but was actually closed for refurbishment. The restaurant food was delicious.

This is a unique place — a teaching hotel! We had a bar lunch here and the food was excellent and great value. The fish and chips was particularly good. The students serving us were courteous and attentive, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
