If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIRᴀven. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! We attended for a training course. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Staff very helpful. Food at lunch time was great self service. Parking is discounted if you inform reception the course you are attending. Ive not seen any rooms or breakfast or evening meals. My work paid for my training so I can't tell you if this is value for money.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff, nice breakfast. The dinner menu in the bar is fairly limited but service and food are good. Great location for central Manchester events.

Modern hotel in central Manchester. Smart decent sized rooms with great service. It has a well stocked bar with a laidback atmosphere. The food menu is limited and a little average. The breakfast could be improved upon. But overall one of the best value hotels to stay in Manchester.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Nice experience to stay in the newly decorated Novotel at the heart of Manchester. The staff is friendly, the rooms are great and the fitness is reasonable standards. I decided not to award the hotel 5 stars for a few smaller reasons. Breakfast is overrun and choices are limited. The spa and sauna were both not functioning and coffee cups in the room weren’t refilled. But still a great choice when visiting Manchester.

Not a 4 star in my opinion. I'm staying in Manchester on business and booked this hotel as It's close to the office but I found it difficult to sleep as the windows failed to block any noise from the streets below. Also it was disappointing to find that I also had to pay extra to park there. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Also the room was relatively spacious but the toilet is tiny. It would be better to knock the wall through and put it in the bathroom.

Clean and correct rooms, good beds. Good breakfast. Very good location to get around anywhere in the center of Manchester, with or without children. Lucia and Estefanía some fenómenas.

Helpful staff. Decent breakfast and really quiet room. Decent black out curtains and good shower.

Very pleasant hotel. My room was spacious and clean. The view from the window was onto a building site but that of course will be temporary. It was my first visit to this hotel and I would use it again.

Used for meetings and conferencing a few times and prefer it to the Hilton we usually use to be honest. Similar facilities, but better food and spread. Just not got the larger rooms you need sometimes. Not stayed in the hotel itself before though so couldn’t comment on those rooms.

I attended a course here. Fruit, pastries, tea, coffee and fresh fruit smoothies were provided in the mid morning break. The lunch was buffet style and had a good selection of salad and hot dishes. And during the afternoon break there was tea coffee and cakes. All the food was very good, and the staff were very friendly.

The bar and restaurant area is Beautiful and a relaxing ambience, perfect with some of their brilliant gin cocktails. Need to step up their game for food and service. Altogether a nice and relaxing evening when you have lots of time.

Stayed for a day, spacious rooms which are very well maintained & breakfast was good. located at the heart of the city. Very nice bar with TV to watch matches. totally 3 ways you can reach 2 entrance which are available. if you book in advance you will get it for reasonable price.

Great location rooms Clean decent breakfast.

Good location. Lovely room. Didn't like the toilet being in a tiny 'cupboard', separate from the bathroom. Rooms don't have air conditioning. Lovely breakfast. Nice bar area. Gym and steam/sauna but no pool.

Great hotel. Super it was that I didn't need an adapter for the current. There were enough USB ports to live in. The side bed for children was also very good. The breakfast was delicious except for the sausages.

Really good experience. Good sized family room, clean and modern. We were late for breakfast but the lovely lady arranged for us to eat in the bar, thank you. Really well situated for the city and all it has to offer. Would definitely use again.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Rooms were of a good standard but the customer service was absolutely exceptional. I missed the breakfast slot on one of the days and staff were still able to serve me hot food from the kitchen. They also kept the bar open until me and my colleague had drunk them dry into the early morning. Great service!

The location is very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It is perfect for a getaway to downtown Manchester. Breakfast was very good. And the rooms pretty big. Ideal to go with small children.

I stayed for two nights whilst in Manchester on business. The beds were rock hard and only 2 small pillows were provided, I asked for more but none were delivered to my room. The mattress was thin and uncomfortable and the duvet was also thin. The soundproofing wasn't good either and I could hear every footstep of the person above me. The toilet was really cramped and small I don;t know why they just didn't include it in the bathroom. The staff were friendly but forgot to bring me extra pillows as requested. The breakfast was great. The shower was hot and powerful. I don't think I would stay here again, and I stay in Manchester one or two nights a week with work.

Essentially staff are really good, make you feel welcomed and cannot really fault the service. However I have stayed twice and have never had my rewards points added even after, emailing the hotel twice, emailing accor rewards and mentioning it on my last stay and they still have not been applied. I stayed at the Novotel at Milton Keynes for nearly six months and they have set the standard for the level of customer service I expect from Novotel. I've not seen the Novotel in Manchester set that standard.

On arrival we were greeted by the friendliest lady who wished us well on our anniversary and then when we got up to the room there was a gift waiting for us & our room had been upgraded. The room was lush & the staff were lovely. Would 100% recommend to all.

Warm welcome from reception staff. Clean and well appointed room. The "early check-in" function saved very little time so I probably won't bother with that in future.

I thought the room was brilliant, with plenty of amenities and great decor. The Nespresso machine didn't seem to be working though. Outside of that I loved the room, the exercise facilities, and the staff were very helpful.

Nice room and facilities. Breakfast was generally very good, although the idea of having tea in teapots prepared in advance meant that it was invariably lukewarm. Reception staff were very helpful. The replenishment of consumables in the room was very poor. No tissues after day one. No replenishment of tea, milk and sugar on the second and third days of my stay.

Overall not bad, room modern, clean and comfortable, breakfast choice good. Room too dark at night, kept waking up disorientated. Option for dimmable lights maybe? No extractor fans in toilet a little disconcerting. Breakfast staff not as attentive as one might hope. Either overworked or not paying attention. Not a huge bother, just kept waiting a few times.

The stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room clean and tidy and the breakfast was first class. Only one criticism; we only had one bath towel in the room and when there are two of you using the shower twice its not enough. Apart from that we will most certainly be staying again.

We had an exec room and it was great, not sure about the others. Staff were super helpful. The best thing about the hotel is the location. Close to the main shops and close to. Deansgate, you can't ask for better than that.

We just visited the exchange bar, the hotel bar for the third time. The bar is fantastic, really modern with a great selection of drinks and happy hour offers. The food is really good. A good selection at reasonable city centre prices.

Staff and service was great, room nice and spacious, massive TV in the room, only part I didn't like was that the toilet is separate from bathroom and not much room in there. Didn't eat in apart from breakfast which was good, loved the pancake machine and fruit/sauces to go with them. Got asked if we wanted tea or coffee said tea and no one brought it had to ask for a couple of times but not a big issue. Overall good stay, nice staff and clean hotel.

EDIT: apparently a Novotel Sales Manager told my wife in the steam room that he wasn't wearing pants? What is the sexual harassment policy? Very disgusted. There is construction work going on without giving guests advance notice and they didn't setup a buffer zone around it and were booking guests right next door. The reception staff promised the work is only permitted between 9.30am and 5pm. Naturally we were all woken by power tools at 7.30am. There was mould throughout the shower. Coffee machine had water left in it so naturally it also had a healthy film of mould growing in it. Towels were thin and stained and generally the hotel showed significant signs of disinterest in quality. The staff were great and tried hard, but they couldn't make up for the shortfalls of the hotel itself.

Everything from check in to check out was 5/5 a little low was the parking which was full so had to look for parking away from the hotelhotel. Staff was nice breakfast was great. Will stay againagain, highly recommended.

Great staff, breakfast was well presented with a wide choice, executive room nicely sized with lovely extras, ;nespresso and bose ipod dock but lacking a mirror with natural light for the wife's make-up.

Excellent customer service and very good rooms, except for the mattress that it was too hard. Very close to town center and shops. Breakfast was really good too.

I highly recommend the hotel. Great bar. Great ambiance. Even has some gaming consoles and iMac computer to keep guests entertained. Fantastic customer service. The location is easy to get to as well. Will visit again.

Good location. Decent sized rooms with plenty of space to work. If you get an upgrade the rooms are much better with a robe and a wireless speaker. Standard hotel breakfast. Plenty of good places to eat and drink nearby.

Stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. Room was excellent — large, clean, air conditioned, comfortable bed, and a good shower. Breakfast buffet in the morning had a large selection of fresh cooked food — English breakfast and continental options. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend.

Great hotel. Good location, modern decor, well fitted out rooms, very good breakfast. A stone's throw from China Town, and this time of year really convenient for the Christmas markets as well.

Really great location as very close to Chinatown so u can buy water as they charged £2.50 from the mini bar! The rooms were pretty basic — no views but it was clean and modern. The reception staff were friendly and the lobby is bright with a Scandi feel but once you get to your floor — the whole thing really needs an update… Oh and our TV didn't work but we didn't bother to escalate it as we weren't too fussed. Good value for price and location. In fact it was fully booked the night we stayed!

Very comfortable and clean, looks great throughout. The showers are awesome! The toilet is separate from the bathroom with an almost airtight door which made staying with a roommate with explosive bowels a much more bearable experience. The service was fantastic, delicious breakfast and speedy 24/7 room service provided by friendly staff. The bar prices were standard for Manchester city centre so no complaints there either. Would definitely recommend!

Checked in online. When I got there staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great. Spacious, clean an quiet. Great value for money.

A great place to stay and unwind in the heart of the city, with parking of you ask.

I stayed in the Novotel for a couple of days for work. The location of the hotel is very central and is in walking distant from the main centre. It's a little bit further from the train station but still in walking distance. The hotel itself was nice and modern. We upgraded to the slightly bigger room with extra facilities. Everything was clean and the room was well furnished. A must is to check out the healthy facilities on the top floor. There is a sauna, a steam room and a gym. It's all included and we went up every evening. It was well maintained and clean.

Stayed here back in March 2014 — room was clean and quiet which I guess is all you need for a work trip. Location was great for what I needed, although it's not in the best area of town. Was very expensive for what it was, but was paid for by company and I assume can get a much better personal rate via comparison site. Breakfast was buffet style and plentiful but never seemed to have everything out at the same time, so you either had to be lucky to get everything you wanted or watch the kitchen door and make multiple trips. In my 3 mornings here I had to do the latter! I definitely wouldn't pay the 3 figure sum on my invoice, but would definitely consider returning for cheaper. I've only been to 4 novotels but is a brand I like — this ranks joint 3rd, so definitely not one of their better ones but ok nevertheless! P. S. Had to pay for Wi-Fi which was disappointing, so bear that in mind if comparing costs.

Fantastic hotel. Clean and quiet room with TV, AC, tea and biscuits. Breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks. I have stayed here for a week and had no issues with anything.

Staff helpful. Mattress in room was a thin slab of foam. Hot and uncomfortable. Breakfast not great. Would I stay again? No.

Great breakfast and rooms. Shame that drinks and the restaurant is so expensive. Disappointed in the Wi-Fi too extremely expensive, bring a laptop and use the Ethernet.
