Decent location, reasonable price. Only downside hotel bar shuts at 1030pm.

AVOID! My friend went with her partner, the fire alarm went off and due to one of them having autism and ptsd with fires she panicked and went down to reception, the man was so rude to her and wouldn’t explain what happened which triggered her and caused her to get upset and slam the door, I explained she has autism and ptsd with fires and he couldn’t care less. Was almost so smug about it! He kicked them BOTH out at 1 in the morning. TWO young girls who cried and begged him to let them stay and they had no where else to go. In the mean time while they was out on the street they got harassed and was so scared. (With all there bags). They spoken to the manager who offered “vip treatment” and a discount stay, which he promised and is now ignoring all the emails. If you are a person that struggles day to day I would avoid this place at all costs. Management clearly covering up for the staff.

They hardly pick up the Calls. The bells keep on ringing but it seems they can't hear it. The TV in the room is faulty and has a colour problem. They expect the customer to bear with their faulty materials.

Arrived on Friday to a borderd up door which doesn't look appealing. Arrived collected key card everything went smoothly. Got to our room lovely little room, it was a warm day/night so decided to turn on air con to which we found it didn't work! on the sign it said call reception if flashing which it was so went and told them the receptionist said she'd ring to get it sorted. Later on went for a shower to find there was only 1 towel available! even though I booked a queen room for 2 and was staying 2 nights. So went to ask for one to come back later on to find 1 towel left on our door where anyone could have taken. aircon never got fixed either I complained multiple times throughout the day as it was unbearable to sleep. The woman actually told me that it had been fixed so went back to found out it hadn't so she'd lied to a customers face! maintenance came to look, sure he hadn't a clue what he was doing and then told us to tell reception ser if we could be moved, so did that first time she put the phone down on me, rang again she said I'll get it sorted now and put the phone down again yo never hear from her again so went back down and was obviously too late for anything to be done at the time of night. no TV remote asked multiple staff for one for tbem all to look at us gone out not understanding what we were asking for. Finally got one to find there she restrictions on the volume of 20.

Misleading information both online and at desk. Bar shut at 1030pm supposed to be 24hrs… told go next door to novotel and same issue… booked on gold membership and a useless free drink voucher 🙄

Just returned from a short stay. Rooms were absolutely spotless. Booked a twin room, beds were comfortable but duvets are too thin for winter and no spare blanket in the room.
Location is great and not far to walk to canal Street. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby.
Quick check in and check out with no hassle.
Would stay here again.

From the second I arrived was met by 2 female receptionists who loved looking at the laptops not the actual paying customer in front of them! They gave me a card for the room we go to the 5th floor the card wouldn’t work in the door then while we were trying to open the door another couple walks to the same door saying they were in this room! We goes down and one of the very unhelpful receptionists was acting like it was my fault no apologies just attitude! Then gets into the room there’s a cracked bathroom sink! Stickers on the walls are peeling off! Only so many channels loaded on the tv! The soap dispenser came off in my hand after one squirt! Our room was by a fire door which kept banging none stop! There was no hot water for a shower in the morning, we goes down at 7am for breakfast with no smell of food anywhere I walked around the breakfast no hot food at all no bacon /eggs with signs up about bacon barms so just before we left the hotel in disgust I nipped in the loo downstairs to be greeted with poo all over the floor/bowl and men’s underwear in the cubicle stained I went out and spoke to one of the worst receptionists from the day before and all she said was the cleaners not here yet…. Absolutely disappointed from start to finish.

Really surprised, pleasantly surprised. Stayed at the Ibis in Leeds and was worst hotel we’ve stayed in.
However this one is really really nice. Great location, lovely modern decor. Friendly staff and the bar is great. Will definitely become our regular hotel in Manchester ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

A budget hotel in a great location. Rooms are nicely furnished and clean. Loses 1 star as the air conditioning wasn't functional for the duration; not just for me but for 5 other colleagues. Lots of noise outside, so opening a window isn't really viable.

Hotel is basic but great location. Room had a very dusty smell which was evident when I first checked in and seemed to get stronger. Couldn't use towels as they also had the smell — bedding was very clean and comfy.

Room is very good, nice bed, very tidy, quick check in, nice location, good price. Breakfast not included as there is lots around to eat, probably cheaper as well. Would recommend to anyone. Only issue was that my own towels (brought from home) were taken by the cleaning team and unfortunately the staff weren't very forthcoming about getting a resolution.

Couldn't do enough for us. A great bunch of people professional and polite. Amazing bed in a functional comfortable room. A fine place to stay.

This hotel has a nice location, and you are within walking distance to most attractions. The rooms are nice and clean, and the staff is young and friendly. They serve breakfast, but I usually go to the pub down the road. I've stayed here before, and I will surely be back.

Excellent location in the centre of Manchester. Rooms were clean and tidy with enough space for us to get a travel cot up (just). Comfortable bed although it was only a double so small compared to the big bed we're used to at home. Rooms have air conditioning which was a nice addition and also free Wi-Fi. Bar attached to the hotel is 24 hours for guests and also does bar food pizza burgers etc which were quite nice. Staff all pleasant and friendly. Also after check out we were able to leave cases till 2pm free of charge. After that it's £2 per item. No parking associated with the hotel so be prepared to pay a lot if you drive.

Excellent location. Rooms are clean and modern. Security is good with key access lifts and doors. Room was OK if a little small but is in the centre of city. Price was good. Food in Chill 96 downstairs was great. Only dropped 1 star as have to use local parking.

The hotel is too expensive for what it is really. The room was nothing special and was very noisy, the fire alarm went off at 1am with no explanation too. However the breakfast was good and the bed was pretty comfortable.

Freedom, quietness (earplugs if not available) showers, always clean towels, breakfast. Great for short stay, breakfast needs to have a better selection. Glad it was there though.

Great location, good room standard (actually nicer as in most hotels in a higher price range). Breakfast is good and at just under 9 pounds not too expensive either. The hotel has no reception, but there is a staff member from the hotel 24/7 just near the entrance at the bar, and this seems to work out fine.

A fantastic hotel that offers everything that a budget hotel should offer. The room was well sized, bathroom clean and staff, friendly. And given how central to the city it is; for the price, it was a steal.

I stayed here and ended up leaving after 1 night. It is a very loud hotel and they provide you with ear plugs which is ok if you want that kind of thing. A very poor breakfast service and not much choice. My advise is go to the premier Inn up the road you get a better night's sleep and an amazing endless breakfast.

Second time of staying. Handily located and good value. Breakfast service was good. Room comfortable and staff very friendly. I ate in last night, if you want a full on restaurant meal go elsewhere, what they provide is more akin to upmarket bar snacks — nothing wrong with the food I had though. The bar seems to have a permanent double for the price of a single offer on spirits.

Rooms bright and clean. Tea making facility which is always good. 24hr reception where staff were very helpful. Cosy and comfortable bar downstairs with drinks half price from 9am til 10pm. Definitely going back!

Lovely hotel with welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble, be that catering to dietary requirements or providing extra tea/coffee throughout the day. The housekeeping staff were very efficient and friendly, room was cleaned and tidied each day with minimal disruption to my work that was left out. The bar staff were professional and friendly, willing to make items not on the official menu without complaint.

Great hotel, with a new concept checking area. Looks more like a bar, lounge and restaurant area, with a couple of people with a laptop and mobiles, check people in/out. Hotel seems to be recently refurbished and rooms are modern, clean, spacious and colourful. Bathroom is well designed and shower has temp sensing led lights. Sink was slow to drain. The bed was comfortable and TV was good. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Located near to lots of resteraunts and bars. Reasonable priced.

Really decent hotel. Decent room with small TV. Comfy bed and decent continental breakfast. Nice coffee. Staff really nice. Under going some refurbishment from 15th Jan but no inconvenience. Half price drinks in the bar til middle of Feb. Great!

Night of stay — Thursday 14th Dec 2017 (1 night). Paid £114.98 for double room. Room — 414 — After a fairly quick and efficient check in, I headed up to my room, I opened the door and was greeted with this absolutely awful smell, it was a cross between vomit and drains. Was totally dreadful. -The carpet in the bedroom was stained in various locations, not sure if this was the source of the smell bit it was very uneasy on the eye. -The bathroom sink had a build up and clumps of old toothpaste, I tried scrubbing it off but it was too stubborn. — No soap/hand wash provided in bathroom. — The towels provided are a little on the small side. Not the most pleasant of stays, I complained to the duty manager and she offered to swap my room. As I had checked in late in the evening and had a quick turn around to get out for a meeting I declined as I simply didn’t want the hassle and risk moving to another room with perhaps the same or different issues. Didn’t have any food or drink at the hotel. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Really good, trendy hotel about 10mins walk from Picadilly Station. Stayed in a Double room on my own as working Manchester. Room & bathroom very clean with everything needed. Friendly staff always on hand to help. Couple of negatives would be no hooks in the room for a coat or similar and it's £2 extra for a cooked breakfast which seems a little cheeky. Would happily stay again in the future.

Simple rooms but fully equipped. Friendly & efficient staff on hand to deal with all queries. Convenient location. Chose to eat lunch in the refurbished "chill" bar which was very nice. Again superb, friendly services the staff really make this place.

The hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes walk to the main shopping area, gay village, China town, town hall etc. The bar/restaurant area is attractive and open all night. The rooms are stylish, albeit a lightly small. My ownly criticism is that the room we were in had a wet room and the water wasn't draining away quickly enough so half of the floor was soaked. Food and drink is served throughout the night but when I stayed food was on a reduced menu (it appeared anything that needed properly cooking was not on the menu, but why would anyone want a steak at 4am? ) I'd stay there again.

Adeguatissima room, nice essential, well cared for daily change of linen. Very comfortable and very good service. Good breakfast and great staff who continually is available to solve problems and to dispense suggest. Also great price with the benefits of the "Club Accor Hotel".

A nice place with a good location. I have stayed here before, but the have refurbished since my last stay. The hotel is now very contemporary, and the rooms look much better than before. I will definitely consider this hotel again next time I'm in Manchester.

The staff at the hotel are really lovely and welcoming especially on reception, they made sure I was aware of breakfast etc. The online check in worked really well and my room was ready when I arrived. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was lovely. However, my shower mat was removed, even though I'd hung it up for further use and not replaced. Also the carpet outside the lift on the 3rd floor was really grubby full of crumbs and bits and looked like it hadn't been hoovered for at least two week and it still wasn't when I left. Also the door to my room was a little wobbly (306) I forgot to report this.

I only stayed for one night wish id booked for more loved the flexible late checkout of 5pm. Great location for canal street and city centre. Rooms spotless and very modern.

Very well situated hotel in walking distance from the train station. The rooms were recently renovated and refreshed to a high standard. The staff were always available and helpful. I would definitely recommend the place to my friends not only because of the high quality of service and acommodation, but also because of the very good price.

The reception is very friendly, with the possibility to choose the room and change it if it does not suit us. USB plugs are available in the rooms, which is very comfortable if you have not taken an adapter. The hotel is well located to visit Manchester on foot.

Great hotel with friendly service. On arrival, the new open reception was a surprise … very trendy feel to it. The room was reasonable, however their was a very unpleasant smell on entering the room (room 315). Tried to explain this to the cleaner but her first language wasn't English so she shrugged her shoulders lol Overall it was a pleasant stay.

The manager was rude when I complained that as a solo guest I paid the same as my friends, a couple, for an identical room. That was fine, as a solo traveller I pay for the room whether I occupy it by myself or with a partner/friend. But what I found unacceptable is that they had continental breakfast included — over the two night stay that's four breakfasts — I had to pay extra for my breakfast. I expected the hotel manager to exercise his duty to make guests feel happy and comfortable and say 'OK, in the circumstances I will let you have two free breakfasts'. I would have been left feeling all warm and fuzzy about ibis. Instead of that he argued with me and told me I should have booked earlier. I already booked a couple or more months in advance. He wouldn't budge and offered the classic French shrug and said they're was nothing he could do. Now I feel annoyed and won't be using ibis hotels ever again. Not good business practise. The golden rule is to keep your customer happy, especially when it costs you so little to do so.

Had no complaints with the way the room was. Was tidy, clean and well presented when I first entered. Bathroom was better than expected, feeling rather modern and luxurious. Beds could have been comfier but once you got comfortable it was easy enough to get to sleep, you just had to be patient and find the best position… which may take some time.

What a lovely gem of a hotel. Check-in was quick and easy, room was really nice, clean and more than big enough. Bed was very comfortable and even though they provided ear plugs, just in case it was noisy outside, I didn't need them. Bathroom was clean with a really nice large shower, the shower head being illuminated was a very cool touch. When I stayed there they were finishing some renovations so food wasn't available. Staff were friendly, very efficient and their attention to detail was impressive. Highly recommended for a few days in Manchester and will be my first choice for future visits.

The new room refurb is much better than before. Staff always charming and helpful. They need to change the corridor carpets as they're showing there age. Ear plugs provided to cut out street noise. Cooked breakfast buffet was ok rather than excellent. Always a pleasant stay. Close to all main city attractions and transport.

Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. But when you are on a holiday trip, do not spend money for the breakfast — it's not worth to pay almost 9 pounds for, go somewhere else and enjoy breakfast in a cafe or pub. You will even see more of Manchester which is great.

Location OK but staff unhelpful by asking £10 for "early" (alreadt past 11:30am) access to be charged even if you are an Accor "member". It is a shame as it is down to the staff to make your experience smooth and easy. Won't come back.

Clean, comfortable, remarkably quiet despite its central location. Staff were polite and helpful. Excellent, buffet breakfast finished off a faultless stay. Best value for money hotel I have yet to stay in.

Staff were lovely and the room was pleasantly modern. The power cube with multiple sockets and USB charger slots was a notable positive.

Perfect location, close to the train stations, the christmas markets and other places we wanted to visit. Rooms were cosy and nicely decorated, staff were pleasant.

Hotel location is good, next to China Town with a good selection of restaurants open until late and not too far from Station and city centre. The room is very basic, with put of date decoration. The hotel is not a great value for money and doesn't worth the money paid. Towel was dirty, with black spots on it and the carpet in the room had a bad smell. To keep the luggage in the hotel after checking out, they charged 2£, which I found shocking.

Pretty average hotel, nothing fancy but nothing bad. As you would expect from an Ibis. Well located in the centre of Manchester.

Stayed here on wednesday 4th feb for peter kay show at men. hotel staff very friendly. Room lovely and clean. 24 hour reception/bar. all in all a great experience and very cheap! would recommend this hotel and certainly stay again thank you ibis.

Sparsely staffed and staff seemed very surly bordering on rude at times. Bathroom smelled in one room and there were some rather worrying patches on the ceiling. In another room the carpet looked like a herd of wilder beast had swept majestically through the room just before we booked in. The kettle in this room also expired before it could manage to fully boil some water. Overall as my initial impression of an Ibis hotel I was very disappointed and will probably use the Premier Inn chain from hereon in.

Great place to stay clean tidy rooms well maintained great staff and perfect location to stay for easy access to bars and places to eat highly reccomend the Alchemist bar just down the road for a bite to eat.

The Ibis is a lovely hotel with a brilliant central location. The staff are very nice, the room was comfortable and I had a relaxing stay. No hastle, no drama. It was just what I needed.

Good middle class hotel with well-known IBIS Note, green stop. Rooms (2 people, double bed with folding bed for third Person) was sufficiently large, sanitary facilities as well and clean. The continental Breakfast buffet was for the smaller Spartan continents designed for a non-island Europeans lack a bit of the selection. Otherwise, to recommend.
