A fairly new Holiday Express Inn in the heart of Manchester minutes from the train station (Picadilly). It's got a huge reception with bar and breakfast facilities with lots of seating. Checking was quick and easy as was booked before arrival. It's lovely and new inside. Lifts nice and quick and rooms are nice and tidy. Bathroom was lovely with a great shower and really comfy beds and pillows. Highly recommended. Its great if you want to go and explore the city as it's so local. Minutes from the tram and train station and the shops only about 4 or 5 minutes walk. I'd definitely visit again! Priced well for a city center hotel.

Either this is a new hotel or has been recently refurbished as everything seemed new. Very clean and fresh. Large suite, well furnished. Good breakfast and cooked properly. Only query would be why I was billed £40 more for the room than the IHG app quoted when I booked!

We stayed for 3 nights at this great hotel. The hotel & rooms are stylish & clean. The rooms have a fridge with kettle etc & also have hairdryers an iron & ironing board. Every single member of staff we met were so friendly & helpful. Noting was too much trouble. We highly recommend this hotel & will be staying again when we next visit Manchester.

Amazing hotel in a great location. Room was large and very clean. Very modern hotel with great facilities. Stayed for work reasons but would recommend to anyone looking to stay in central Manchester.

Excellent room, decent size and well designed. Air con was very effective and room was soundproofed. Shower was hot and roomy. Only let down was the food in the restaurant, so not 5 stars. I was attending a conference, booked well in advance and included was a 3 course meal, however there was a wait of about 2 hours from starter to main! A lot of people were not impressed, but staff gave away a lot of free drinks to placate those waiting…

One of the best holiday inns I've been too. Great reception and incredibly helpful staff. Had a really great experience here thanks to the people working here. The meeting rooms are really well equipped and has great facilities outside the room. The dining that was included in the package was more than adequate. Would definitely recommend a group booking for work here for location and for facilities.

I didn't stay there but I organized for my guests from overseas who stayed there. The receptionists were helpful but one of the lady didn't know which room has got bathtub. She allocated the room with bathtub for special request but actually no bathtub, and those people who didn't request bathtub got the bathtubs. Little bit disappointed for that but those men who helped out for dinner venue, they were very nice and helpful.

Bright and welcoming lobby~ staff were amazing and really attentive. Bed is comfy and there was even a mini-bar and air-con in the room. However, the sound proof of the rooms weren't that great… could hear other room doors opening and closing.

The hotel staff were amazing. When I asked for recommendations beyond what the Manchester travel office provided, the front desk came through in a big way. The food and drinks were great. The location is super. It is walking distance (within 20 minutes by foot) of all of the city center sights. The bed was comfy and the shower had good water pressure.

The location was great, right by the station. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, three different kinds of potato and two types of sausages is good in my book! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

If you’re coming to Manchester for a holiday then I can thoroughly recommend staying at the holiday inn Manchester. From the check in process right down to the detail of the rooms, the staff do a fantastic job to make your stay a memorable one. The hotel is situated in a prime location, not far from Manchester Piccadilly Station and all the main shops are close by. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Went there with my husband and little daughter. Room was lively, clean and spacious. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, food was lovely. In general we really enjoyed our stay there and my daughter really enjoyed looking at the trams and busses passing outside the hotel.

We had our work Christmas do here. Pleasantly surprised by the lobby, room and general look and feel of the hotel. This is more of a modern Holiday Inn with no dated carpets and decor to be seen. Bar area was clean and had lots of space. The breakfast was the icing on the cake and is not to be missed.

I've attended holiday Inn for Christmas due. The hotel is very stylish but nothing posh. Very nice customer service. A bit pricey. Rooms are nice with good view on the canal and the city. I recommend it to businessman or anybody who got the money.

Absolutely brilliant hotel, highly recommend with no fault. The staff were very professional, pleasant and helpful… nothing was a problem. The room was more than we expected, clean fresh and very well maintained. The bed was really comfy the fitted bathroom was to a high standard which made for a great stay. There was little or no noise from the street outside, in-fact you could hardly hear the trams that pass. The food and drinks were good quality. Will certainly be back to this hotel again in the future. Well done.

In Morrissey room good sized room for meeting with climate control. Coffee and snacks readily available. Plenty of choice for lunch. If has small criticism slightly too long a queue for lunch.

Service is very friendly, staff at reception are always happy to help and breakfast staff always greet you with a smile. Hotel is quiet and there are no views so although the bigger rooms are higher up low floors are just as good. Very close to Piccadilly Station — on leaving the station head straight on over the footbridge and follow the path around to the right. From Piccadilly gardens just follow the tram tracks South (towards Piccadilly Station) for a block.

Newly opened and freshly painted, the decor downstairs is fresh and modern. Rooms are a good size, with large showers and comfortable beds. The breakfast has the best gluten free selection I've seen anywhere.

Excellent location — right in the city centre. Close to the train station and the tram station. Easy to get to where you want to go. Friendly staff, great service. Clean rooms. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Options available if you just want to relax quietly in your room, or hang out with friends and have fun. Look forward to a repeat visit the next time I'm in town.

We only popped in to use the restroom and get a drink from the café. Foyer looks modern and well kept. Toilet facilities are modern and very clean. Friendly staff. :) Hotel is in the city centre, but in a quiet section, which would seem perfect, if I was to stay here.

This is a stunning hotel. Rooms are modern and spacious. Very comfortable furniture. A variety of meeting rooms to cater for different sizes meetings. There is also a gym but I didn't visit on this occasion.

Staff is ok. Don't expect much courtesy from a holiday inn. They are decently quick and decently helpful. Rooms are nice and clean but very basic. Slightly larger compared to other hotel rooms in England of a similar price. Location is the best thing about this place. Very close to canal street and the train station. Close to basically everything except the airport. Breakfast is ten quid which is standard compared to other hotels. Selection is broad and yummy.

I booked the room and pre-paid before I got there. Upon arrival, my credit card was withheld and the room was charged. I were told it would be refund back to me. It didn't and I have had to chase for it. When it finally refunded, I lost $24.08 due to currency exchange. This is an update: I increase the number of stars because the staff of Holiday Inn has solve the currency exchange problem. Their service is prompt and kindly once the problem is identified and aware of. I would like to express my appreciation here.

Went for team meeting/training. Gorgeous venue. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was fab and had great facilities. Food and coffee was really good and also had a Starbucks on site.

Easy access to airport by train. Very close. In the center. Modern and all new. Price is very good. Perfect at all.

Very nice hotel. Fixtures and fittings of high standard. Conference rooms ideal and service facilities great (fresh tea, coffee cakes etc). Restaurant food enjoyable and good variety.

Excellent location and comfortable room. Stayed here a couple of times and will continue to do so. I also like to use the gym and their equipment is pretty good. Some of the weight machines were out of order but the cardio room was better. On my last visit I left my glasses in the room so I rang the hotel and managed to find them. They offered to send them back to me via post. Happy to report they arrived safely. Nice touch.

I got to the hotel and was given an upgrade. Always good. Room was nice not fantastic but the staff were. Each one of them from the desk. Especially the late bar staff and the breakfast team were so friendly. Talkative. Efficient that they make this a hotel I will return to. Way above the average for the city and better than most costing more.

Over night guest. Room 223. Lovely hotel very modern, large restaurant for breakfast all can eat. Room had plenty of space, walk in shower very classy. Room two doors from cleaning cupboard where staff work in, meaning Sunday morning door slamming regular! Not much of a lie in. But would stay again.

Great location right by Piccadilly Gardens. Staff have always been very friendly every time I've been. Rooms are pretty spacious and furnishing very well. Breakfast was included in the price I paid, and was pretty good quality too, nothing special but definitely a step above Holiday Inn Express for example. Staying in the city a lot for work and will definitely be returning here.

My daughter and I have just had a wonderful stay at this lovely city centre hotel. We were bowled over by the friendly, welcoming staff, especially the staff on reception. Room was spotless! Bed and linen were super comfortable! Had a great nights sleep. Definately return here. Recommended :-)

Held a seminar here yesterday and the facilities were fantastic. A big thank you to Emma who helped me get set up and ensured that everything ran smoothly. She is an asset to your team. My colleague who stayed at the hotel also commented that the front of house staff were all lovely and friendly.

Modern hotel in the centre of Manchester. 5 stars simply because they just do the important stuff well — friendly and polite staff, rooms clean, comfortable and well equipped, breakfast good and fairly priced if you order the evening before. Oh and most importantly the receptionists were very helpful and accommodating considering I'd accidentally made my reservation for the wrong month!

For a Holiday Inn absolutely okay. Bar was great, room okay. Breakfast could be tidier.
