Not a bad apartment for a reasonable price. Conveniently, there is a kitchen with everything that is required. Of the cons: the railway right under the windows, the noise is terrible, and there is no air conditioning in the rooms, so you have to open the windows, and there is a strong noise from the railway.

I always stay here when I have to work in London. 5 minutes walk from Stratford station, then 7 minutes train to Liverpool Street. 5 minutes from Westfield shopping centre. Fantastic apartment.

Clean and comfortable stay. Parking available on site. Easy access to Westfield shopping.

Good staff, close to Westfield Shopping. Would recommend getting a room which doesn't face railway. Service was good — it is not hotel, clean happens once per week. Some amenities given on check in.

Cheap and cheerfull clean apartments. Was quiet impressed with this place. Was more cleaner than I thought.

Booked an apartment for six people. Sofa bed was uncomfortable, when it was mentioned at front desk, an extra duvet was given by staff to place on mattress. Apart from that our stay was great! The partner was immaculately clean and staff were accommodating. Three of us had arrived with a toddler (who was tired and in need of a nappy change) before the cardholders arrival. The lady at the front desk was kind enough to give us the room key. Have used marlin before and will use again.

Nothing great; bad responsive management, not so great reception. Spacious apartment with cooking amenities but not maintained properly. Cleaning happens once per week again standard but not up to the mark. Located in prime area, accessibility to tube/metro train, shopping centre, movie etc. Are not bad.

Residence located in a strategic area, close to Stratford station where national, underground and DLR trains depart, the largest shopping centre in Europe, Westfield Stratford and the Olympic Village. The rooms are very spacious and bright, complete with every comfort such as washing machine, full kitchen, ironing board and dedicated Wi-Fi router for each room. Recommended for value for money, especially for cleaning the premises.

Nice and cozy apartments located at 3-5 min walk from Stratford Center and Olympic Park. The apartment size is really small but has all the basic amneties. The security is good and quality of building/amneties is good too along with the cleanliness. Gave 4 stars for the size only.

Been there before and I'll probably stay there again. Pro: close to station, good connection to central London, Wi-Fi, space Con: closr to tracks and there is a lot of noise. You have to remind them to clean your room : (not for the first time)

The location is excellent. Just five mns walk from Stratford station. But the sitting room was smelly and people's loud voices in the corridors were unbearable late at night. A nightmare weekend!

Pleasant, well equipped and clean rooms. Located a little too close to the railway line for my liking.

It's was an alright experience. Stayed with a friend for the weekend. The apartments have everything you need but are not sound proof. An ideal place to crash if you have a busy weekend of parties/going out out. I would recommend getting 2 nights if you're not a "checkout at 10.30 after a big night" kind of person.

More self-service than serviced apartments, security gate does taxis no favours but otherwise decent accommodation.

Just had two nights here. The apartment was very convenient and close to the Westfield shopping centre and the Olympic Park. Good and quick access to central London. Secure parking. The staff were brilliant — really helpful, friendly and willing to assist in any way that they could. Would have had 5 stars had the room been cleaned to a higher standard. Would thoroughly recommend it for a short stay.

I had checked-in to Marlin Apartment, Stratford in the beginning of July 2017. My experience with Marlin Apartment for one month is the same as I have read in the reviews. With 2-3 railway tracks and a road just next to the apartment, it is a difficult place to live with all the noise 24/7. The place was very hot and humid and you can’t keep the door open for the noise and flies. I didn’t have a good sleep for first few nights as my apartment was on the side of Roads and Railway Tracks. After complaining about the same I was shifted to another room facing the courtyard, after 4 days. This room was sort of okay to stay for couple of days but not up to the standard for a business travel. Here are some of the issues and challenges I had to face in Marlin apartments, Stratford: • Cleanliness — Carpets were very dirty. Spider nets around the place. Floor under the Sofa, Tables and Bed were not cleaned for months together. • Cigarettes stinking – Bathroom was stinking cigarettes until they changed the bin after complaining multiple times for 5 consecutive days. • No weekly replenishment of consumables – All Consumables like, soap, shampoo, body lotion etc. Are supposed to be replenished on daily or weekly basis during the scheduled service and I have seen this happening in all Serviced Apartment where I have stayed during last 11-12 years, but this was not the case with Marlin Apartments.

Stayed here for close to a month because my company put me here. The rooms were very good in size had all the basic kitchen amenities with a good sized bathroom. The car parking was extra per night and it was quite expensive. Close to both Strat ford station and mary land station was a plus.

Stayed for a week in July 2017, two bedroom apt on 1st floor — location is excellent for transport links — very short walk to tube and station/ also very close to Stansted drop off point (3 min walk) Apts are right beside the mainline train — so regular train noise (you get used to it rapidly) but means if its warm and windows are open its v noisy. No aircon — a prob as the apts are very hot in summer. Pedestrian entrace via a secure gate beside the pub on Angel Lane. Only basic TV, anything extra costs more. Beds comfortable, showers good, bathrooms unventilated so v hot also. Desk staff good (we had v little interaction with them to be honest) Left luggage was good on our departure day. Apt was not serviced while we were there, not a prob for us but might be for some. (emptying bins would have been good, and extra toiletries) Dishwasher was good, dryer less so. Large fridge freezer, good kitchen, well equipped. Extra storage in hallway inside apt door (as second bedroom is small — box room really, but fine. Ensuite bedroom was slightly larger. Overall, great location — 3 min walk from tube, central and jubilee line DLR. Westfield sopping centre (vast) nearby, as is the olympic park. Handy morrisons in centre of (old) Stratford nearby also. Also V close to Maryland mainline station.

Great service. It was very nice staying in this Service Apartment. Excellent view, closer to station, the service is very good. Appreciate Mr. Mohammed who was very good in assistance.

Good location. Extremely hot and noisy as the studio apartments all face the railway line. However, it's pretty quiet during the night. No air conditioning. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great and friendly employees, But some times service isn't that great. For example my internet some times. Break and they give me the naighbor's Wi-Fi password, the dishwasher doesn't work and the bathtub is plugged. So yeah.

Worst experience on earth! I am amazed at businesses that claim something and turn out to be a hell hole in reality. This place claims to be a 4 star hotel but it has no air conditioning and worst of all, is literally next to the train tracks. This meant 3 nights of suffocated sleep since if I open the windows for some air the noise of the trains will keep you awake and if you decide to close the windows due to the noise the lack of air will suffocate you. And when I asked the lady at the conceirge why had they not mentioned about the lack of AC she simply said "Welcome to London".! Again, it's not the lack of AC that is the problem but the fact that you cant open the windows at night due to the loud noise, which in essence could have been avoided if there was AC. I wish I could file a legal complaint for misinforming customers.

Great location to get to the Centre by Metro. The apartment is good, but a bit too noisy as the train tracks are really very close.

Beautiful, clean and convenient apartments which are great value for money.

The staff and security were very aggressive and unprofessional. The receptionist was unhelpful. They just take your money in return for bad service. I advise no one ever go! : (

Worse hotel I have ever stayed in. Dirty old and very unhelpful staff from reception to management. Mould in bathroom, cords hanging from ceiling lighting. Broken fitting, over looking a car park and large Rubbish bins. Dont waster your money.

Bad customer service rep at the reception/ check in desk (a lady). However the apartment is ok.

I booked with Marlin Stratford. When I arrived at Stratford, around 10pm, they sent me to Marlin Empire Square due to a water leak. (Marlin Stratford waited for me to arrive and then sent me to Empire Square. They had my mobile number. Did they not know about the leak before? I did not have an issue at this point. But then. Read on. ) When I reached Empire Square, staff told me that Empire Square is fully booked. (Did Stratford staff not check before sending me away? I am not sure why my room was not reserved), so I was then sent to Marlin Limehouse. I reached Limehouse and guess what?, they told me Limehouse was fully booked (again, don't Marlin staff check? why was my room not reserved? ). So I had to find another hotel. Rooms are difficult to find last minute and late at night in London, especially due to conferences at ExCel (that I planned to attend). Marlin staff at Limehouse wanted to help me find a hotel but they did not have a credit card to book hotels. So I provided security with my own Credit Card. I finally found a room at 2 am and stayed at Holiday Inn express. I could not believe the experience. I would not book Marlin Apartments.

Giving it 1 star would probably be a bit unfair as the room itself was clean and comfortable with good facilities. You could have the best cake ever but if in the middle was a fresh dog turd, that would ruin the whole cake. The turd in this instance was the noise, the noise was out of this world. I had requested a quiet room and was put on the ground floor near reception. I probably would have had a better sleep at a Slayer concert. There was a party in the room opposite they didn’t manage to kick out until gone 3am, constant banging of people coming and going from 5am then the rubbish was collected at 7:30 am. I had complained and was offered a bit of extra check out time and a sorry face with a verbal apology. They suggested they could have moved me to a quieter room as they had them available. One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, which is a shame as the rooms themselves are really nice. Best to avoid or take ear defenders.

Great alternative to a hotel. Comfy and well equipped. Highly recommended.
