I stayed on this site in 2013 as a first step when I emigrated to London and, seeing that it is still open, I felt a need to write a review. This site should be closed (I'm trying to find the option to report it to London City Hall via web) : the door stays open all night unattended, the first room I was sent to had a woman and her children living in a way permanent there with a single closet fully occupied with his clothes and more bales of clothes for the rest of the room. It is next to the unburied subway/train tracks and there is a lot of noise until late at night. The shared showers (not the ones shown in the photo with screen), are in the basement, have no ventilation and are full of mold, the ceilings are very low so when you go up your hands to wash your hair you touch the mold of the ceiling, there is no door and the staircase to go down to the Showers come straight from the hostel's front door (anyone could go down from the street to the showers). The kitchen is unusable because of the dirt. The photos do not correspond to the current state of the hostel.
It's not worth saving a few pounds to stay here not only because of the dirt but also because of the (real) feeling of insecurity.

Clean enough and with good facilities — plenty of showers and decent kitchens. 24-hr front desk is useful.

Everything felt cheap and dirty. The shared kitchen lacked almost everything. The obly positive was the price.

You get what you pay for. But considering the bad hype about shared accomodation this is not to bad its clean and very spacious also comfortable. The tube is literally over the road and can catch any train into the centre of london.

Arriving not very nice outside but beautiful interior and comfortable beds.

We needed a cheap stay for one night. That's what we got. Nothing more and nothing less. The people working there are really nice.

Disgusting hotel — must have been one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed at! Nothing like hostel pictures! The owners were controlling the so called "tenants" like lab rats and the whole hotel was falling to pieces! The room was so dirty, the toilets — I would kill myself in there. The owners were so rude and unhelpful and the public kitchen was so old and used. The other tenants were nice but it was like the owners were controlling them in a game of the Hunger games! The beds were squeaky and sleeping was a nightmare since the windows couldn't close and we were right next to the Tube station. This is one of the most poorly rated on trip advisor so there are much better hotels at cheaper prices even nearer central London. Don't be fooled into coming here — the whole area around here stinks.

Okay place to sleep for the night while awaiting flight to Heathrow (just across from the tube station and relatively 'cheap') however very poorly set up and run. Toilets weren't working on some floors and the whole place was pretty run down.

I stayed at this hostel for longer than the typical stay. The only positive I saw about it was the location, based right outside the station. This however was it's own disadvantage since you could hear each train passing underneath (which is quite frequent). Now for the bad: The worst thing about the place was the toilets and showers, which are only cleaned once a day. I accidentally dipped a jumper in the water that gathered outside the showers and I had to wash it 3 times before the smell could leave. The upstairs bathroom also reeked constantly of a public toilet. Most of the people there are long term residents, not just short stay holiday goers, including the owners, who would have curry very often. I like curry, but smelling curry every time I entered and left the place eventually started to make my stomach turn. Regarding the rooms, these have very thin walls and I could hear everything going on next door. The beds were also very uncomfortable and there was bad internet connection throughout (In all fairness, few hostels have comfortable beds and a good internet connection). This place might have been good for that one night stay, but nothing more. Please avoid.

It was the worst place that I have been. The rooms are awful (bed is a little of wire with a strait matress and make a lot of noise in any movement) the toilette and kitchen all dirty and stinks, in effect a shit hole.

A nightmare filthy smelly sucks.

The hostel is great in exception of the bathroom and the toilet. They need to get rid of the male toilet in the ladies toilet.

Jacked up the price to 90 pounds and made us pay in cash during a busier weekend. Overall OK hostel but not worth going out of your way for.

This is a relatively good hotel. Room is ok but showers is not so clean. Undergroud station is opposite the hotel.

Stayed for one night. The staff at reception were very welcoming friendly and helpful. The other guests were very polite. Rooms needed some work. Felt like spending a night in a run down class room. Beds were comfy but very noisy. Showers were hot and the place was spotless. Worth the cheap price.
