Lovely atmosphere Staff really helpful.

A very nice pub had a great evening at an 80th birthday.

Thank you to Dean and his team for hosting a great evening for my wife’s birthday. We had a great time and felt well looked after throughout.

Roast dinner was amazing and atmosphere was lovely staff were nice would highly recommend.

Hosted a baby shower in the function room upstairs yesterday and cant thank caroline and colleagues enough… food was delicious and staff were so attentive and helpful. Perfect stress free day!

It was a lovely pub and the staff were lovely too but the food wasn't. I ordered scampi and chips and it was just that. No peas or sauce. The chips were not that great. Just found it disappointing.

Friendly staff and atmosphere. Good to find somewhere that shows sport too.

Came here for Sunday dinner with my family, Carvery portions are huge, kids loved it too. Good selection of craft beers and very friendly staff

Things I liked… Something you don't see enough in pubs these days are genuingly, enthusiastic, friendly and professional staff. I was served by pretty much all of them today and was really impressed. Top marks. We didn't plan on eating but we saw the Sunday Roast, it looked great, we gave it a go and it was great! …
I have no idea whether £15 a head is good value but I can't imagine that it is out of the ballpark and frankly, the price is something which only really becomes an issue if the food is a dissapointment… and it wasn't. My only critism (purely as productive feedback) is that I've had alot of buffet roasts and they have all had someone who carves your meats and plates them for you. However, this is the first time that I havn't been able to choose and plate everything else I. E potatoes, veg etc. It felt very awkward and it did bother me. It didn't feel like an extra service, more like distrust. This feeling was kind of nailed by the young lady who brought the gravy out. I put my hand out for it and she just went ahead and poured. The poor girl didn't know that I don't like alot and when she politely asked if it was ok, I didn't have the heart to say no.
I can only guess that the set up is due to 'those people' who we have all seen who take as much as they can and more than they can ever eat if given the opportunity. If so, I get that but like I said, I found it very awkward and it did feel like I wasn't being trusted to be an adult and do it myself.

Brilliant food, a+ service. Big portions and friendly staff and owner. Sunday roast is a proper feed.

The Thai food is gorgeous! Did not expect that from a local pub.
However the servers were confused about their menu and who was serving what table and the restaurant was very cramped, meaning every time someone walked past they knocked our table.

Good pub with a good atmosphere especially when sports are on… The Thai restaurant is also a great place to eat! The food is lovely and service always welcoming.

The Thai Food at this pub is really excellent — I highly recommend it. The service is good too. You need to book to be sure to get in.

The Forrester is I would say a very lively local middle-class boozer that caters for a wide ranging variety of people. The landlord is a very nice geezer called Dean and can be seen flitting in and out of the pub most days, but when hes not around he has a very nice and very helpful set of staff members to tend to your service. The pub is situated in a very good location right at the edge of a very large and highly populated affluent area which brings in very good mix of friendly set of customers. There is no immediate parking facilities but there is plenty of places to park very close to the pub. Depending on the time of day spaces vary so the later you leave it the less likely chance of a space… just saying. The pub itself has a great variety of local ales. Wines and spirits. It also boasts an attached Thai food restaurant which is very popular and I myself can vouch for the food and how good it is and not that expensive either. So in my overall view of the Forrester I would definitely recommend that you pay it a visit or if you live near by make this pub your local… ps They also have a weekly quiz night and show both Sky TV and BT SPORT.

A wonderful traditional pub with function rooms and a spacious and sheltered garden which can be an ideal venue for outdoor private parties in all weathers. I have attended a wedding reception there last summer and all the guests really loved the place. The staff and management went the extra mile to ensure that the event was a total success. Highly recommended.

Great room, very clean. Good breakfast. Staff are really friendly. If you have young children/want an early night, the rooms are above a pub late opening hours, so a little bit noisy. Great base for access to Central London.

Bit disappointing my cheesy fries with barely cheese. Pub is nice and as nice atmosphere. Thai food is also a must but cant say the same about side orders… it used to be lot better before.

Great pub with lovely atmosphere and very nice garden. Lots of live music in the spring/summer season. They serve very tasty Sunday roast and good beer selection. They also organise an excellent beer festival!

I have been here twice for Drinks and Food. This is a Good pub, it has character, in a good location, a local hotspot. It has good variety of drinks like any pub should have. I recently came for lunch meal. The food at the foresters is actually Thai Food. The first impressions are the service. We were served by a lady named Jenny. She was attentive, approachable and welcoming. We order the Lunch boxes, which consisted of a starter and main in a Lunch box. We order a Thai Green and Thai Red Curry, The food was reasonable in price and had a good taste. Overall it is decent food and is good value for money. Many Thanks.

Great authentic pub. Do lovely Thai food Mon — sat and an epic roast carvery on Sunday. Regular pub nights and renounded beer festivals a few times a year.

Great pub with nice rooms. Easy to drive to the city centre by bus and train. Top breakfast.

Food was okay however everything fried was really disgusting tasted as if they hadn't changed their oil in a while I felt like I could taste meat and I don't eat meat, personally I would avoid going there, it's edible but only if I was stuck for something to eat I would go there… especially avoid anything deep fried until they do something about it if they ever da… Tastes and smells disgusting!

We went here for a Christmas meal with our local orchestra. We had the whole upstairs room to ourselves, and packed it out. The staff brought our food up and we were all impressed with the quality of the food. The bar downstairs had a great selection of beers and wine available, and the staff even put up with our renditions of Christmas carols through the evening!

Stayed here the weekend What a fantastic place to stay every thing is so clean and tidy in the accomodation and pub, great selection off beers with a lovely beer garden out side. I had my evening meal there which was a lovely Thai dish, washed down with a fine glass of wine. Had a great night with friendly staff, keep up the good work guys.

It would not be unkind to refer to this as an old man pub, it feels very old fashioned complete with separate saloon bar and toasted cheese sandwiches on the bar menu. If that's something you don't mind or are looking for then this is for you.

A decent pub in west London. From the outside, they look at the pub as if from the picture book. A very beautiful building. Owners were very welcoming. Beverage selection was good. Only the portions were small and not justified to the price (fish & chips). Hence a star deduction.

Nice pub located on the corner of the street. Was quiet when I went it but was really clean and friendly staff. Would definitely go again. Decor was cosy and the atmosphere was great. Nice one guys :)

Lovely atmosphere and great beer garden. Good Thai menu and on Sundays they do a great Sunday carvery. Huge portions and freshly cooked food. Highly recommended.

Minimum card spend of £10?! I get card companies can charge extortionate fees but this pub always ready charges extortionate prices. There isn't a single pub in the area that does this without offering cash back and having to buy two drinks every time is very inconvenient. Ridiculous.

This place is wonderful. Great food, great atmosphere — proper pub.

A pleasant pub, with a large courtyard garden. Has the feel of a proper pub as opposed to a tarted up gastropub and that's a rarity these days. If you fancy a pint and a chat with friends in this area, this is probably the pub to choose.

We had our baby christening here the staff did an exceptional job from decorating the area to the quality of food served it was all phenomenal everyone had a fantastic day. Highly recommend for any social occasion.

5 stars indeed! We loved the structure and just jumped in. My boyfriend immediately recognized that it has been a location for "impractical jockers" which we love, so we had to give it a try… and luckily we did! We are been amazed from the great service, friendly and smiley even if the pub was quite busy. We tried the Thai food that was exceptional, above the average of Thai food you can usually find in pubs. Pleasant atmosphere and obviously very good selection of beers, ales overall were nice and tasty. We will definitely come back to try the Sunday's roast! E+A.

My visit to the Forester has left a bitter aftertaste that's for sure. Had ordered from the Sunday lunch menu rather than taking the carvery expecting a lovely lunch, however I was handed a piece of fish that had been battered and cooked so much it looked burnt! It was so hard I banged it against the plate to show the waitress only to be told this bit was hard but the rest was fine.
The waitress couldn't even return with the reply from the chef, I had to ask! She was less than helpful!
Expensive and definitely below quality!

This pub although not the nearest to our house has been our new "local" for the last 6 months! The Sunday roast is the best I have seen in years (huge quantity, 5 types of meat, sides, etc). They also serve very good Thai food. Happy to have those guys around!

I absolutely LOVED it, they have good Thai food, a good English menu and food, the carvery… DELICIOUS. The service was good the pub has a good variety of drinks and snacks like scampi fries, monster munch and many more I loved it there and it is so close, I would defiantly go again.

Stayed for 1 night, 3 single beds in one room gave us plenty of space and ensuit had huge shower, room was very clean. Pub itself was excellent very friendly staff who were always happy to help. For £30.00 pp including breakfast (in London) you cant beat it. On top of that pub is very lively and open till 1.00 am… Excellent place to stay for small groups looking for a cheap but good b&b in London. Definitely would stay there again.

Not bad but not excellent. Food is okay I have had better Thai. Service is great and staff very friendly. Beer selection is standard nothing wow. Would visit again but there is better out there. Outside area is great and inside is very cosy.

Great pub good staff and the worst Thai food I have ever had the misfortune to eat… Would have been an improvement serving pot noodles! (pad thai) Over cooked (burnt) gyoza bleeding children and tasteless Tom yumm with bland som tam (with not a papaya in sight…!?! I) Would recommend the duck salad however. I Will check out the roast as I hear good things and I know that the owner rock them. But I think it is a huge improvement from the old foresters but Caroline & Pascal need to work their magic in the week day kitchen.
