Review of Novotel London West 4*

Stayed at the Novotel West London on 01/09/18. After paying the accommodation fee for an executive suite (which let's be honest is a premium rate to say the least) I was expecting a premium room with premium facilities. To say I was disappointed is an understatement, in fact I'm rather livid at the fact that I paid a premium rate for such a basic suite. The suite was horrendous in respect of the decor, size and facilities. The chiller was warm & when I questioned the reception desk their response was simply "I'm afraid that's the temperature" rooms have no aircon, fans are basically non existent, the bathroom sink stank of stagnant water, the bath tub plug release broke in my hand when turning. Credit where it's due, the handyman came & fixed the issue after contacting reception. The in room entertainment (TV) was basic. The remote hardly worked. The small Bose Speaker didn't work (Not that I was using it but ultimately based on the premium rate for the suite you'd expect everything 1st class). Now I move onto breakfast. Service upon entry to the restaurant was great. We were seated & shown where everything was & also advised if there was anything we needed not to hesitate to ask (nice gesture). Good selection of breakfast choices. Hot buffet however is not hot. In fact from making a plate & returning to your table your food becomes luke warm. Then as you know you forget something such a your drink & you go to get that & by your return your food is cold. Parking extortionate £1.50 per hour for residents. Not impressed. The hotel also decided to charge my credit card for parking fees however I'd paid parking charges with cash. (By the way a word of advice, if you're arriving on a Saturday after 18:30 park outside free of charge). Overall a horrendous experience. I will certainly not return. Read this review & make of it what you will. I'm generally well travelled & rest assured I expect a level of value for money. I don't feel I received that based on my stay. My opinion is also based on experiences on historical stays at other locations UK and worldwide. Take my advice & stay elsewhere.
