Our stay was brilliant
The manager and staff were fantastic and made everyone feel so welcome, and taken care of.

We never got to visit due to hen party cancellation but fantastic customer service! Thank you.

3/5 staff are friendly and hotel was clean and nice. Points lost for:
— heating not working in room, they knew this but I had to ask for a heater
— boiler broken so no hot water for a couple of hours when we arrived
— lifts out of order but no notice on web site. Our room was on the 5th floor (we had our 80 year old mum with us! ) they did move us, but now our booking was split up
— very expensive (over £3 for a tea! )
— we dined in the restaurant on our first night. Had a ciabatta which was so hard it could've been a weapon.

Great Hotel and lovely staff.

1) No air condtioning in SUMMER 2) No fan 3) Ironing board & Iron stowed under bed, how can anyone expect to look for these items there? 4) Iron has no steam and a really cheap ineffective equipment 5) Fire alarm set off by shower steam every time 6) Everyone had to evacuate building at 2am because of 5) above — this is incredible. Never witnessed this before 7) You have to pay £50 in advance for drinks at the bar 8) Double bedroom is about as big as the double bed, almost zero space to move 9) My high performance car was backed into in the hotel car park and cameras recorded the event. The staff simply do not even care to get back to you and help you find the culprit. This will cost me £2, 500 to repair my car door. 10) Most unhelpful staff ever, they will not return your call no matter how many times you call 11) No cash machine on site or nearby.

Food was enjoyable but at times can take too long to arrive. Free drink instead of room being cleaned every day is a good idea. Friendly staff and rooms are alright for the price range.

Housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. They just take your stuff and throw it out. Even if it's nowhere near a rubbish bin. The front desk personnel, (except Alexa), are blunt and not very courteous. There is no fridge in the room, the shower leaks every time you take a bath. The hotel is not 4 stars, 3 at best. I am not enjoying my stay. It started okay but is ending pretty badly. I can't wait to leave.

Hotel has been great during my stay for business. Room has always been clean and tidy and staff happy to help. Would like to say a massive thanks to Ellie. I’ve come to her with a few minor issues and she has always been very eager to help and efficient at all times in getting any thing sorted for me aswell as being greated with a smile. Excellent work manor. Would recommend highly for his hotel.

Lovely place. Stayed a few times with work and always happy. Love the 1 free beer instead of room being cleaned daily it's a great idea.

Great hotel. Stayed for business purposes, the room clean and comfortable, the beds are large. Food is tasty and fresh. Staff helpful and kind. Would stay here again without question.

Decent enough place but expensive. Some of the rooms appear to be tired but it suits the need. Parties are held here so can be noisy and the main road at the front and side can disturb you if your a light sleeper.

Good breakfast. The team really takes care. Decent shower. Firm bed, just how I like it. Fair size rooms. Iron, trouser press, luggage stand, kettle etc. Heated bathroom mirror!

Stayed here for my anniversary, and there was some positives and some negatives. The Positives were the room wasn't too small which is heard from a few people they were tiny. The bar was nice and the bar staff were very friendly. Breakfast was nice but a little over priced in my eyes. Negatives are the air con was very loud which was a little annoying. The bed was very hard which prevented me having a decent night's sleep. Expected a bit better. Not a bad hotel though.

Rooms are noisy air con is loud. Breakfast is not the best it's a buffet style and not fresh cooked to order. Bed was ok. Not good for parking if you have a big van.

Afternoon tea for two. Standard fare of finger sandwiches one small scone (hence four stars) I expected two. A selection of individual cakes. In addition a plate of fruit kebabs with a dip of chocolate sauce. Nice touch. Additional tea offered and accepted.

The rooms meet my needs. Clean, tidy and warm. The staff are helpful. The breakfast good.

Simple Hotel. Nice, friendly staff. For 5 pounds There is breakfast buffet filled with coffee. I'm just saying typical English food.

I was attending a wedding at the venue and I was impressed at the presentation of the appearance. It was very stylish and modern. The bar staff for the wedding reception were clueless and poor at serving the attendee. However the actual bar staff at the front were profrssional.

Good quality rooms. Plentiful breakfast, but booking admin a bit sketchy. Parking tight but there are usually spaces. Comfortable feel but frequented by many a contractor, so the language in the bar is a bit bad for some younger ears.

Beautiful lobby, polite engaging staff. The room was lovley, albeit we were put in a disabled room for some reason, so the water temp was luke warm. But the bed was firm, pillows comfortable, room service was great. Slept well after turning off the aircon. Breakfast was lovely, one of the best ones I've had in a hotel in Croydon. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is actually nice but the room was unbelievably tiny. I mean you can nearly touch both walls tiny. It’s very tight and the bed was small also as you can imagine. The room was clean and tidy but the maintenance left a little to be desired the lights above the bed was all broken off the bathroom sink was blocked and the hot tap on the bath was so stiff and stuck on boiling hot. If these things was attended to the hotel would be great, as it’s cheap and looks nice. The best thing about the hotel is definitely the breakfast. Everything tasted good and compared to the holiday inn’s breakfast is gourmet!

It's a reasonably ok hotel. The rooms need modernisation though and colleagues reported problems with their showers. The food is not bad, but at breakfast I would seek out a waiter and order your tea and coffee, they managed to miss a table of four. The hotel is noisy, meaning the rooms have thin walls and doors, and despite asking for a 'quiet' room, the housekeepers slammed and banged their way through the morning. Not good when you've been on nights. The car park fills up very quickly. To be honest, I'd pay a little extra and stay across the road in the Hilton, bigger, quieter rooms, more parking, nicer food, better experience.

The room was clean, the food was nice. Ok if you can't get in somewhere else. Does have a good size car park.

The rooms that I have stayed have all been noisy, either from the function rooms or the vents in the room. The rooms are dated and could do with improving. Staff are very nice and the breakfast is lovely.

Had a girls afternoon tea with 10 friends. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. We spent 6 hours in the place from afternoon tea we were moved to the lounge for coffee, then as the guests dwindled we order a selection of the most tasty chip… I'd recommend the place for a relaxed gathering.

We went to a party in the function room. It was beautifully set up and a DJ provided. The food was average but we had a great time and it was great value for money. Also, Parking is plentiful and free, staff are brilliant and welcoming.

Free parking, impressive looking hotel, nice reception and bar area. Disappointed with the bathroom, had a stale water smell, toilet seat had a dried urine drop on it which then affected my confidence about how clean the rest of the room was. Grout etc in bathroom was grubby, bathroom furniture old and needs overhaul. Carpets in the room appeared new. Room could have done with a dusting, there was thick dust on the table lamp base. Room temperature was good with air con in addition to radiators. Comfortable bed and nice Samsung TV. Biscuits in addition to decaffeinated coffee is more than Lenny's lot provides so tick in the box there Upgrade the bathrooms and a little TLC with the housekeeping and this place would be excellent. I loved the theming of the old aerodrome. All in all not a bad place but also don't expect it to be Lenny's standard as the bathrooms fail it.

The rooms are very small and a bit noisy.

Was there for a luncheon. Most enjoyable. Food excellent. However the bar staff on the main bar were less knowledgeable on drinks.

Good value but don't expect too much. If you're driving they offer free parking which is good. Bed is comfy but decor is getting old and worn.

I booked this hotel for my best friends birthday, the Service we received was outstanding from the time we walked in the hotel to the time we left, The grounds was absolutely beautiful as well as the hotel itself,
The food from evening meal to breakfast was absolutely gorgeous.
The pool was warm & very clean.
We would all go back again and also recommend it to our friends & family.
Thanks to all the staff for making our weekend special.

Attended a business lunch here so only saw a few areas of the hotel. However, it is well decorated and had friendly staff. Only issue during lunch was the lack of waiting staff which resulted in a number of guests missing dessert because they had to leave. Food was fine though.

Poor service from the staff. The place is looking tired. Went to pull the curtains and the curtain rail came down along with the curtains. Did I get any help from the staff, what do you think. Food was well over priced for what it was. Would I recommend it again… NO! Would I recommend Hallmark Hotels… Definitely NOT!

My sister and I had afternoon tea at the Hallmark, it was absolutely brilliant, lots if variety we could not even finish the spread. The staff were very helpful, polite and attentive. I cannot fault this establishment, the is my second visit; had my 40th birthday here and they were amazing then and still are now.

I like the fact that they have very friendly and helpful staff, which go above and beyond with their level of customer service. I have to mention especially Hari and Vincent which always makes our stay enjoyable and stress-free. We have been to many hotels and you don't get guys like these all the time, so they are a credit to the hotel.

Hotel was good value. After searching online I found a 35% off voucher and booked the city double room. This was one of the newer rooms at the hotel but decor was not in a great condition. Style of the room was good and amenities were sufficient but overall decor was scruffy. Blinds had been messily cut with scissors, the room had recently been painted and masking tape still left in areas. Were told that food wasn't available past 10pm yet a pamphlet in the room said it was. For what we paid the room and service was sufficient and location made it ideal for us to attend our event.

Nice hotel with a lot of heritage. Managed to get a free upgrade to a suite that was outstanding although the LED lights around the headboard were a bit much and I couldn't find the switch to turn them off! Restaurant was a standard affair but the food was good and well presented and the service was excellent. Definitely one of the better hotels in the Croydon area and one I would stay at again.

I had a voucher for an Afternoon Tea at the Hallmark Hotel Croydon on a weekday. The restaurant area was very quiet, we were the only people there for a while. Food was beautifully laid out on a picnic table platter set. The scones and clotted cream were great, as were the selection of desserts. Refillable hot tea and coffee. However, the sandwich bread was stale and dry.

We went for afternoon tea for mothers day, we were welcomed by friendly staff and shown to our table, tea was served followed by a very well presented afternoon tea consisting of a variety of sandwiches and an endless array of beautiful cakes served with cream and jam plus a fruit kebab with chocolate sauce, the staff was very attentive we ended our afternoon with a nice filtered coffee, well done to the hallmark for making us mums day feel special, highly recommended.

Reception and foyer is lovely, and the room is well kitted out (if a little small) but the rest of the hotel seems a little dated. Slept terribly as no aircon leading to having the window open onto the main road into Croydon. Good breakfast selection and friendly staff.

The room was nice and it was comfortable the only bad thing was the lift was broken and so had to walk up to the top floor via stairs.

There was a bike gang around the hotel that was particularly loud in the evening but the service was really good and the staff lovely. The room was comfortable but small, however the Wi-Fi was free which was very convenient. All in all it was a lovely stay.

Friendly staff. Not a bad evening.

Great hotel. Inside looks modern and clean. Having the restaurant and bar just downstairs is handy if you wanna grab a quick drink or grab something to eat. The rooms are taken care of daily and the staff are very understanding and professional. The only down sides are that it sits on a busy street and the ambulance service has a station across the road. The rooms aren't very sound proof so you hear every revved engine and every siren all night long. For me I was still able to block it out and still get some good sleep. Otherwise you may want ear plugs.

Free parking, free Wi-Fi. A bit small but good enough for brief meetings in the lobby.

The service could have been a lot better. I do not recommend this hotel.

Was nice and clean. Meeting room was modern and well kept.

Room outdated. My kids had to do with old dark brown blankets. This hotel is definitely overrated.

Having attended for a recent event, I found the facilities to be first rate. The food was really good, service great, and the room was very reasonably priced.

The rooms are just as you expect really but the bedding not the best. The food was really good and the staff where really friendly.

Never again. Terribly rude staff and substandard accommodation.

Terrible, The only lift in the building was broken, so was the air conditioning in the room and it seemed in the lobby as it was uncomfortably hot and smelled like vinegar? The receptionist said there was nothing they could do about either issue, not sure how disabled guests would manage or even if it is legal. Very slow and miserable reception staff kept me waiting in a cue of 4 people for 25 minutes in the sweaty stinky lobby. The refrigerator in the "luxury" double was missing the walls are quite thin and I could hear what a great time the couple next door were having which was quite entertaining actually :p. The interior decor is quite nice but the traffic noise in the morning was not and the mattress was rock hard, which resulted in a sleepless night for £93 Not happy.

Found hotel, noisey, hot, air con not working, rooms had to be changed due to building works. Would not book this hotel again.
