To the Manager and the Staff of Forest Park Hotel. I have not stayed at your hotel, but I have just watched the program on your hotel. If I were to come to your country I would defiantly come and stay at your establishment. I think it's just beautiful. My Husband and I stayed there last week and it was brilliant. They do have a lot of ongoing work done to the place, which you are told about when booking, and also in your confirmation details. If you don’t wish to see that then don’t book. Don’t go away and moan about it in the reviews like many already have, basically choose another Hotel. We had a dog friendly room which has been recently renovated and it was beautiful. It opened up straight into the garden which is perfect for when your K9 friend wants a wee in the night. The food was gorgeous and the staff very friendly and helpful especially Kirsty. They are short staffed at the moment, but the staff that are there are doing their very best. We can’t wait to go back next year and see the progress. I’m sure it will be amazing when finished. Beautiful location in the heart of the New Forest, and I highly recommend it. I’m sure I’ll be giving them 5 stars next year.

Have watched " Hotel Inspector " and wish to add my thoughts. I have not stayed at the Hotel but the changes , are fantastic. The improvements are wonderful and now is a Beautiful, Historical Hotel. Congrats. To the Owner / Manager and Staff. Brilliant! Alan, Perth, Western Australia.

Had a private event there, the staff were superb and catered to every need, with a smile. The bar staff were great, talkative and knew their stuff. The Hotel is being renovated and the workmanship in the newly renovated rooms is really superb, along with the design that brings the rooms into the modern age without making the place feel sterile. Well work a visit, and I will be back.

Beautiful house, very luxurious! Only issue was that the rooms were far too hot overnight and adjusting the heating made no difference. I would definitely stay there again tho.

Excellent service. New food menu is delicious! Staff really worked hard to ensure our stay was brilliant.

Lovely place, nice big room. The only down side was the breakfast. They had 3 croissants in the buffet for 30 people, then we asked for more and it took about 10 minutes to bring them. Same with the bread, we had to ask to get some toast. Other than that very nice place. Loved the little pub when we had dinner.

Lovely location, the hotel has beautiful grounds, and is in a very peaceful area. Staff and management were lovely and helpful, especially when we needed a late checkout. The food is great, highly reccomend the bacon! Would happily return.

Large newly refurbished family room (actually 2 rooms in 1 with good sized bathroom). The hotel is being refurbished and I'm sure will look great once finished. It has a very large garden at the back. The food was good and affordable. The staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable hotel which was just as well as we were snowed in! Helpful and friendly staff, great food. We liked the non residents' pub too. Must be a very good centre to explore the New Forest in better weather, though the snow made it an adventure.

Very nice rooms. Some refurbs going on during my visit but didn't spoil the stay. Great staff.

Felt very low budget. Poor furnishings. Awful food. The type of place that thinks cereal from the nearest Tesco is breakfast. Walls are thin. And everything is overpriced. No way are rooms with 90GBP. That's insane for the poor quality.

Fabulous hotel in excellent location near Brockenhurst. Friendly welcoming staff made my birthday celebration memorable.

Lovely venue for a Christmas dinner. No rush at all between courses. Friendly and attentive staff :)

It was just about ok. Didn't stay, just stopped over for some drinks and a small bite to eat. There wasn't a great atmosphere, service was a bit slow and the food was mediocre. It is a tough one because you wouldn't go here expecting fine dining but equally, it isn't hard to make some good chips and add some cheese onto them.

Very pleasant stay here very comfortable and spacious room friendly staff and good food. Recent improvements have definitely paid off. In a great place for access to the New Forest with all its has to offer.

Lovely relaxing stay. Room was very nice. We had a garden room leading out onto the garden. Loved the handmade soap. Very good shower. Very large bed, very comfortable. Bar area looked brilliant trimmed up for halloween. Especially Paul the barmans twin pumpkin! Breakfasts lovely. Only had two evening meals which were both very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. This is a very old building, but the refurbishment is getting there.

Nice beer and our wknd bar snack was very nice too. Worth a visit for sure.

OK room… bed very soft… nice little bar area… right opposite good walking area… so over all OK.

A lovely place, very friendly and professional staff, food was divine Nimrod and Paul were warm and welcoming with a good sense of humour. Catered for my very specific allergies tremendously well. A little gem to have found this place and will definately be back again.

I liked the relaxed atmosphere and friendly attentive staff. The restaurant was surprisingly good with cooked from scratch meals and good bar. A bonus is the dog friendly atmosphere.

Good rooms. Nice and clean. Great views of the forest. Lovely surroundings and great places to walk. Food expensive and not a lot of variety. How ever its sad to say I wont come again.

Another awesome weekend in our home away from home in the New Forest. Room was once again immaculate, the standard of the refurbished rooms is excellent, live music in the Bar on Friday night and the forest, with it's walking and riding trails, right outside the door. Staff are friendly, helpful and polite, with special mention for Paul and Alex who are happy to talk the back legs off the local donkey's! The hotel is dog friendly too.

We stopped here after a long ride through the forest for some welcome refreshment. From the outside, we thought the hotel was closed for refurbishment, judging from the workmen and materials outside. Once we walked around the side of the building, however, it became clear that there is more to the hotel than meets the eye! The gardens are large, with a trampoline and large grassed area for the kids and a lovely seating area for the grown ups. The drinks are of the usual fare — local and not so local ales for the men and Pimms or Prosecco for the ladies. We sat in the sun and enjoyed our drinks — and crisps — before heading back to our campsite for showers, BBQ and more beer! A lovely place and I want to go back!

Lovely hotel situated in the heart of the national park. Country walks begin literally across the road from the hotel. The breakfast is great value and of a good very standard. There are plenty of options besides the full English. comfortable beds and good thick curtains. We slept soundly. The garden is big and very pretty, you can enjoy a drink there from the well-stocked, friendly, bar. The reception team were very pleasant and extremely knowledgable of the area. Will definitely go back.

I stayed at this lovely hotel when I was in my early teens with my parents, as I loved horses and the countryside, warm, friendly and a pool and there was a horse riding school nearby.

Can't say much about the hotel as just visited the bar/pub. Small bar area with a few tables. Ordered food with a large group of people. Staff very friendly and food we all found excellent. Good portion size, presentation and quality. Bar has a wood burner, a moose head and dear head on the walls, and wooded flooring making it very countrified but doesn't feel cosy. Not sure why possibly because its all wooded tables and chairs and no comfy seating. On the whole I would pop in again for food and a drink.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and the staff were very personable. We had a dog friendly room which was a little on the small side but had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent and there was a band on in the bar when we visited which was excellent.

After booking a room at the hotel I read the reviews, so on arrival I was pleasantly surprised when my room was changed for a more suitable room as I am disabled and took my two dogs with me, the room was plenty big enough and the bed linen and towels were white and spotless, although dogs are not allowed in the dining room we were accommodated in a separate room with our dogs and our breakfast was brought to us, the food was very nice. We found the staff very polite and couldn't of been more helpful, as for the overall hotel which does need a spruce up, but this is happening now. The gardens are nice and the dogs loved it and played for hours, Would we go back again? Yes but for longer next time and with no hesitation.
