Fabulous food staff amazing will come back and highly recommend nothing was too much trouble.

Very welcoming. Just stopped for coffee. Sat in lovely snug area. Beautiful building.

We stayed in a family room and was so impressed with the size. The children had two full sized single beds. Very clean room and comfortable:

We stayed for 2 nights, whilst visiting my parents in Latton. We had bed and breakfast. The room was clean and the breakfast was tasty. The staff were friendly and the service was swift and efficient. Well worth the price.
The whole place could do with redecorating as it looks a little shabby, but what really impressed me was that it didn't pretend to be what it wasn't. Some places that you go to like this pretend to be more high end then they are. The White Hart didn't, which meant you weren't disappointed with what you got.
Would definitely stay here again!

Take away carvery for Mother's Day was delicious! Plenty of meat, vegetables and gravy and all cooked very well! Would definitely go again during the virus.

We had a Wake booked today after my great nannas funeral, £7.50 a head for food. In total £262.50 for sandwiches and hot sausage rolls. Honestly the food options were poor, nothing like crips or small cakes or any other options to ‘snack’ on.
£262.50 for 4 plates of “extremely plain” sandwiches and 3 plates of sausage rolls. That’s ridiculous options for that amount of money! Would also like to add the tea and coffee were in a completely different room to the function room. Would not recommend this place for any kind of function.

My friend and I had lunch here today, homemade soup, absolutely delicious, staff very friendly.

The food was delicious, lovely atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, just a nice vibe and clean premises.

Pub which feels trendy but lacks atmosphere. A group of locals very loud and not a place to go if you want a quiet cosy seat.

A very nice pub right in the high street. Had a drink here a couple of days and had a meal one evening. The quality of the food was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. The prices for the food and drink is very reasonable. Overall a nice pub in the old fashioned sense, who serves good quality food as well.

Stayed for three of the best night we have had walking the Thames over 3 years. Everything that has already been said is so true, fabulously friendly bar staff, fabulous clean spacious room and beautifuly cooked breakfast and evening meals. Would love to come back again. Very many thank you to all at the White Hart.

The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was great and the staff were friendly. But the locals gave an unwelcoming look upon arrival and throughout our evening.

Stayed overnight with group of friends as part of walking the Thames path. The hotel was good value. Evening meal and breakfast was good. Best bit was friendly and helpful staff who coped well with a big group and some muddy boots! Very impressed with staff who were cleaning and setting up for Sunday lunch as we waited to start our walk.

Grumpy staff, the food wasn't that good and the shower didn't work. Only stayed one night and the only highlight of the stay was the pop quiz.

I have been to the white Hart for Sunday lunch about 4 times now is the best Sunday lunch around absolutely amazing food and the cricklade puddings (yorkshire puds) are so good it is a must go to for Sunday lunch don't just take my word for it, go and see for yourself.

Stayed here on the 16th September as a stopover on a motorcycle trip, the waitress/barmaid/receptionist was great and looked after us very well, from serving us afternoon drinks, evening meals and then breakfast.
The room was clean and comfortable, the shower wasn't great but it done the job.
The black rock steaks were probably the best I've ever tasted.
Nice place, would recommend, would return.

Bedroom decor is rather dated in appearance but staff helpful and friendly and food very good.

We were attending a wedding here and stayed overnight. Rooms were adequate but ours could do with some freshening up. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Buffet for wedding was very good with masses of food. Some non wedding guests were having dinner there and they may have found the experience rather noisy.

Visited to try the Sunday carvery. It's rather good value for money. Its not the best but for what it costs its very good. Nice selection of meats, and veg was all cooked well. the interior of the pub is very dated and not in a historic way. Like it was redecorated in the 70s and forgotten about.

The staff were very welcoming. They were understanding about one of our darts players not being able to eat spicy food so they brought out something else so that they could eat. However, parking was an issue so had to park at The Club.

The staff were excellent and had great customer service, I ordered a rump steak on the hot rock, which is a wonderful experience, as you get the steak how you want it. The portion size is perfect. I had chips, gravy, and peas with my steak and it was just the right size. I would highly recommend. Great place and great decor.

TERRIBLE! I wish I went with my gut instinct when we entered the musty smelling dump and not ordered here! We were so hungry that we just went with the first available pub. We ordered 2 cokes which came out 2 different sizes and looked like dirty water because it needed changing, but ok these things happen. Sent those back. I asked the BOY behind the bar who had rubbish customer service and didn't seem to know a lot I asked if they sold Stilton Sauce with the steak he says yes it's in the back of the menu, but as he worked here I trusted he was right and ordered 2 steaks with 2 Stilton sauces. It took ages to arrive but then once it had arrive we had to cook it ourselves anyway on some hot rock stone! There was no main plate for us to eat the dinner on he just gave us a tiny side plate! The menu says 10oz but it came out about 5oz. We tried the sauce and it was peppercorn! I hate peppercorn. So I asked the Barboy to come over to our table he told me il have to be quick because he's busy (I am a customer and there was no one else at the bar being served) so I don't know what he was supposedly busy with!? I explained the issue and he got the manager. The manager / chef came to our table had major attitude problem, explained the situation with the hot rock steak and said at the back of the menu the Stilton comes with peppercorn! But the boy at the bar didn't explain this I asked for JUST Stilton.

I stay at the White Hart Hotel on a regular basis it has a friendly atmosphere and is my second home. The staff are very attentive and food is always excellent and both quick to order and serve. Very competitive pricing and rooms are refurbished on a regular basis. I stay in numerous hotels and the White Hart does NOT fall into the corporate "plastic " category as is often the case. It isn't 5 star but the atmosphere and location are.

My deepest reget, is that I didn't complain upon check in and demand a refund. The conditions we were subjected to were atrocious. The room smelt musty and damp and had clearly not been aired. The ensuite facilities were barely accessible with the shower barely trickling water and mould everywhere. The kettle was grimy and we had to clean it out at least 3 times before we could use it. The double bed mattress had no springs, was very uncomfortable and left both my husband and I with back pain the following morning. The filthy carpet was joined in the middle with masking tape which my children continuously tripped over, very much a saftey hazard. The room needs completely refurbishing and should not be offered to guests until this is completed. The hotel are mis-selling the rooms by stating: All 14 rooms at the White Hart are en-suite and well appointed with all the conveniences expected by the modern traveller — including Freeview TV and Wi-Fi. The pictures describe nothing like the accomodation that we stayed in. How they believe that they can charge £80.00 for this is un-imagineable. Needless to say, we will not be returning and we certainly won't be recommending this hotel to other travellers.
