Hubby went to the bar while I sat outside I ask for a large glass of Sauvignon blanc Hubby came back with a new one they had not tried New Zealand it was delicious they asked for my opinion I gave it a 10out of 10 lovely staff great atmosphere.

Had a fabulous roast dinner today. Would highly recommend as so accommodating with our last minute booking. All the staff were really kind and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff! Well done to all the team!

Beautiful food, we spent ages walking around trying to find somewhere to accommodate 8 of us as a walk in with no luck, managed to get in here and they were so welcoming with all of our kids, food was absolutely beautiful, a nice feed up before our long 3 hr journey back to Kent.

Had a lovely walk into Warwick on Saturday and stopped off at the Rose and Crown for a Baileys hot chocolate, it was delicious, great service too, with extra Covid precautions.

We had the Sunday lunch it was lovely. We were only going to Warwick for a night but ended up booking another night and stayed at one of the rose and crowns rooms in the square. The manager was exceptional he was very pleasant and when we went for breakfast shown a real interest in our visit. Lovely bar staff friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place breakfast was lovely.

Efficient friendly service. Roast dinner scrummy offered extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.

Popped in here on the recommendation of the Britain Lonely planet guide — wasn't disappointed. Located on a quieter side street the Rose and Crown served great food with a real ambience to it and welcoming staff.

Just had a lovely roast dinner and it was beautiful, the service was great all the staff were really friendly, I will 100% go back, we did not try the puddings as we were in a hurry but something to look forward to next time!

Had a lovely lunch and drinks with my family today, felt very well looked after by the staff, lovely relaxed atmosphere, we will be back x.

Had breakfast here. Wonderful coffee and really wonderful bloody Mary. Avacado dish was really good. American pancakes were not. Brilliant pub, great staff.

Extremely slow service. As we hadn't booked we were happy wait for a table, however what we were not impressed about is the fact that we were stalled repeatedly — we were told it would only be 20 minutes to wait for a table when it ended up being 45. Upon being seated (finally) we were read the specials of the day and presented with the Sunday roast menu. Two of us ordered pork and two beef, only to be told after ordering there was no beef available. Compromised and then ordered three pork and one vegetarian roast, to then wait for more than half an hour for it to arrive. Relieved to finally be eating, we were disappointed to find it to be an underwhelming meal with tough, inedible roast potatoes, chewy pork, and a vegetarian wellington which fell apart. In all honesty we have had better roast at a Toby Carvery. In all the afternoon was a disappointing waste of time with drinks being expensive as well as the food being hugely over priced (at between 13-15 pounds per plate). When we were asked about our meal by the waitress and we replied we weren't overly impressed, she didn't acknowledge our reply that it was unsatisfactory and left our table without a second thought upon collecting our plates. From what I have read of other reviews, it seems that your Sunday Roast menu needs some serious improvement. Very disappointing and we will not be visiting again or recommending to any of our friends who have asked us about our day in Warwick.

What a great day out on Saturday for Folk Fest — we go every year and this was the first time we had the pleasure of eating at the Rose and Crown, the service was exceptional as was the food. There was entertainment both outside and inside the pub, what an atmosphere… just bloody brilliant do not miss out.

Classy but relaxing place to eat and drink. I didn't try the food but it looked great. A little pricey on the menu but this is no chain pub!

We had a large group of 13 in the private room (the Woodshed) for dinner which was nice. The staff were very friendly, and the service was good. There were a couple of issues with the food e. G. A steak being over-cooked, but they were resolved quickly and without fuss. It was perhaps a little overpriced, but otherwise a very nice evening.

Great spot! Food was top notch. Service and atmosphere was lovely. We had the sea bream and the steak, for dessert the Treacle Tart. Everything was expertly made and delicious.

A friendly and bustling food/locals pub in central Warwick, whose kitchen output needs a bit of a rethink. We first came back in 2011 and thought it was great, but after a seven year period, things have kind of gone off the boil. This time we found the roasts passable but overpriced, and the service cheery but slow. Not very impressed at all with bits of the rest of the food, as the tartar sauce on the fish & chips had gone grey on top from sitting out in the kitchen for a few hours, and the "flat iron" chicken was no more than an unseasoned chicken breast with the skin on, fried on both sides. Not sure we'll be back again.

Great food, great coffee, free Wi-Fi and one of my favourite places to work when I need to get out of the house for a while.

Had a fab weekend with friends at The Rose and Crown. Service and food were excellent. Accomodation was very good although if you are staying in the rooms located in the square the stairs leading up to our rooms were a bit of a challenge.

The pub has a great ambience, great food and friendly staff. Our room was in the annexe on the market square so very quiet at night. Modern, comfortable bedroom, nice bathroom with a big walk-in shower.

Never visited the place before, went on Easter Sunday as we were visiting Warwick for a long weekend. The food was absolutely delicious. The waiters/waitresses gave top notch service and the timing of all three courses was just right. Even brought out extra Yorkshire puds which our kids thought was a great idea as they love them. There was also live music from The Pips who covered 80s, classics, classic house tunes and pop, they were fantastic and added to a great atmosphere. They don’t do children’s menus but you can order anything from the menu in half portion sizes. So much better as you know they are eating quality food instead of run of the mill kids style meals. Anyone visiting Warwick must visit here. We booked as knew it would be busy. There were a few things that they had ran out of but it was the easter weekend so not surprised. It didn’t take away anything from our experience.

We have visited the Rose & Crown on many occasions over the last 20 years, in that time we have eaten and used the accommodation many times. Unfortunately this time it did not live up to expectations.
On arrival we were shown to our room which was freezing cold with no heaters turned on to warm the room before our arrival and bathroom window wide open! I was actually cold all night, the room eventually warmed up by the morning on our departure, also no shower gel in dispenser. Our accommodation included breakfast, I would say this was mediocre as was the customer care we received that morning.
I booked a table for 10 people the evening we arrived, I would say the menu had a poor choice and was over priced for the portion size and quality.

Great place to stay in centre of Warwick. Comfortable rooms, excellent food in the evening. Breakfast was fabulous.

Trendy pub in the middle of Warwick that is a bit expensive but serves decent food and drinks in comfortable bar and restaurant and has a good atmosphere.

Just met friends up from London there this evening and had a fabulous meal with great service. Contemporary menu with something to suit everyone and a lovely twist to make the dishes stand out. A good find.

Staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine that complemented our meal, the food was amazing and we were served by the general manager who is honestly one of the nicest people you could ever meet! keep up the good work Rose and Crown!

Simply fantastic service. The staff were amazing and couldn't do more to help. They were friendly and approachable. The room was nice and a good price too. Tea and coffee in the room, plus hot chocolate, biscuits and water. The only issue was the noise, being above the pub and lots of merriment of people leaving late at night.

I went for an early light lunch with my wife today, we both ordered the same from the menu… two Venison & Pheasant terrine with Cumberland sauce and tasted bloomer, which also came with a small salad dressing. The Terrine looked liked it was on its last legs if not past its sell by date and looking that brownish colour as meat can look when its turning and the salad dressing leaves were transparent … definitely past there sell by date and quite disappointed with the whole affair … what else do they serve on the brink?

When we arrived there was no rush for us to get to the table so we sat and had a relaxing drink. Our order was taken by the staff who were very pleasant and obliging. When the food came it looked delicious and was served on hot plates which makes a big difference to the food. It all tasted delicious and the crackling was to die for! Portions were large which made it hard to pick a dessert so we went for the cheese platter. I must say the atmosphere was great and staff very pleasant the afternoon slipped by too quickly but we had been there for two hours or more but nobody bothered us. I would definitely recommend it and would love to return.

Average. Chicken was brought out late after the original dish was wrong. Disappointing — two legs and a thigh did not and will not set any culinary records. The pie seemed purchased rather than baked. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were bland at best. They tasted as though they had sat under the warmer and had a texture that suggested such. I found the place to be disappointing. Ed, the manager, apologized for the chicken but no offer of a dessert or even a coffee was forthcoming. To this end, even though the atmosphere was nice, we'd suggest that there are better places in Warwick than this. I was expecting too much of this 'award-winning' kitchen.

Good typical English restaurant where you can enjoy soups, meat dishes and good quality local beers. The cost is adequate to the offer and to the service.

Very busy food was not exceptional extremely noisy couldn't hear each other speak the music didn't help. Service very slow definitely not fast food. Over priced would not recommended.

Me and my wife have just returned home from a lovely couple of days stay at the Rose and Crown. The weather was a tad rubbish, but this didn't spoil our time there thanks to the staff and the amazing food and drink, the room we stayed in was nice and cosy and very clean. A special mention to Fiona, Hannah, Rachel, Millie and Tessa who couldn't have been more attentive, friendly and efficient. We highly recommend the Sunday roast and the full English breakfast. A lovely, cozy place with really good food, good ingredients, very well prepared and presented. Once we got round the presumptuous attitude, we found the Brill to be brill (i. E. Fabulous), as was the roast beef dinner… with free refills (! ) on the roasties and Yorkshire pudding, which were all quite properly done. So leave your own knowledge, experience and foodie attitude at the door, and allow the staff to explain ALL the vegetable sides, the grass fed, free range meat, the sustainably fished … fish, and also just why they left that one table to go empty even though you were waiting at the bar (admittedly a bit early for our table reservation). Good selection of brews and a great wine list too!

This place has a great balance of clean and comfortable. The food leans towards the healthier side but still supplies old favorites such as a roast beef and sausage and mash. Definitely worth a try.

Always have a great time at The Rose, its great for families and is dog friendly too. The hotel is wonderful but all this is nothing compared to the staff, they always make me feel welcome and know everything about the food and drinks on offer. If I could give it more Stars I certainly would. Go and see Emma and the team, you won't regret it.

Went as a group for a work meal out — we all had different meals and they were of a very high standard. One tiny problem with mine was quickly resolved with an apology from management. Lovely atmosphere, great food, wine and beer. A great night out.

Well spent the time. Lovely family atmosphere. Open and welcoming. Restaurant offering and drinks exception. Simple and well packaged approach to menu and food. Words can do so much describe.

Excellent Sunday Roast, as good as anything I tried recently in London. Everything good, especially the pork and beef. Being asked unprompted if we'd like extra Yorkshires, roast potatoes or gravy at just the right point in eating was an excellent touch.

Great pub, terrific for a roast dinner on a Sunday. Try the slow and low!

Food was good — I had a roast which was ace, they come round and offered extra roasts and Yorkshire pud which was a nice touch. My girlfriend had the fish and chips which she said was a little greasy and the portion wasn't amazing for 14 quid but was still pretty good. Our table was about 20 minutes behind the booking but the place was heaving and they gave us a round of drinks on the house which was cool.

Great atmosphere and good food, will call again.

Four of us visited this restaurant for lunch yesterday August 26th. We booked for a 12 noon time slot and arrived approx 12.05 pm. Although we were about the only people there and decided on our menu choices pretty quickly, giving them to the waitress, we waited until around 1.10p. M. For the first food to arrive! The food was not at fault but the timing was awful. We finally got out of there, again waiting for our desserts to show up, after 2p. M. This might be OK for those trying to enjoy a leisurely lunch but we had places to be and parking time worries. Since there were so few diners we could not understand the delays and would not return. Hate to think what it is like when busy or in the evenings.

Stayed at the Rose and Crown for one night 20th June 2015, what a fabulous place to stay absolutely first class, room and service was beyond expectation, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, will stay again without doubt.

The top pub grub in Warwick Excellent choices and service though can get very busy at times.
