Love it here! We got married here. Back again 5 years later and staying in the Gamekeepers Cottage. The biggest and best accommodation here. Plus a hot tub.

Beautiful hotel but nothing open, no bar or restaurant, no staff about either just a shell of a hotel. The internet could of been better in our room to share with a bottle of wine from the local supermarket. We got 48hrs warning prior to arriving to be told there will be no facilities or staff just a bed. So not much time to organise anything else as all local restaurants booked up. Looks like your better getting married at the weekend here rather than staying over on a weekday night. Can’t understand why there are no staff…… food or drink?

We would like to thank everyone at The Hare and Hounds Hotel for our wedding on 1st August. They were brilliant and we cannot fault the day at all. Julia the wedding co-ordinator is great and we were truly spoilt in their lovely building and grounds. Stunning place to be married, thank you again!

We would highly recommend the Hare And Hounds Hotel. We had our wedding at the Hare And Hounds in January 2020. The Beaufort Restaurant was a beautiful location for our ceremony just like the Westonbirt room was for our wedding breakfast and evening party. The lounge that adjoins the Beaufort Restaurant was perfectly suited to receive our guests and have the champagne toasts and photographs after our ceremony. The bar area that adjoins the Westonbirt room was similarly excellent: having the bar, the tea and cake tables, the smoking area and the toilets so close to the Westonbirt room meant that our guests never had to wonder far away from the party. All the staff were extremely professional, courteous and helpful. We felt almost like royalty! Julia, the weddings manager, was extremely helpful. She helped us every step of the way and had patience when we were unsure or changed our minds. She accommodated our tight schedule. Ian, the assistant weddings manager, was extremely professional and helpful too, and ensured we had a fun, stress-free evening. Thanks Julia and Ian! The wedding breakfast food, wine and deserts were delicious. All our guests complimented us on our choice of venue, some even said it was the best wedding they ever attended! To summarise, we are very happy that we chose the Hare And Hounds Hotel. We will always cherish the memories we made there and the hotel will always have a place in our hearts. Many thanks,

Lovely hotel stay next door to the Westonbirt Arboretum — which was stunning. Wonderful evening meal room and breakfast. Friendly helpful staff.

We stayed here for our Mini Honeymoon at the end of October for 5 days. Everybody was so lovely to our Arnie and he had an absolutely fabulous time and was thoroughly spoilt by staff :) he would wait patiently for his breakfast sausage! We ended up ordering the fleecey blanket that they had in the room as Arnie got so attached to it! I’m so glad he could join us on our honeymoon! Xx.

Great break. Very friendly staff. Definitely would go back. Bar/food were great. Ideal for a chilled break with the family. very laid back environment but attentive staff. Dinner and breakfast menus were varied and reflected high quality. thank you.

Staff attentive, food good quality. Sunday lunch good price. Great value for money. My only grumble is that they add service charge. I'd rather choose how much l give. It annoys me it's calculated on whole bill including drinks. Alcohol, I feel already has a huge mark up. I'm sure other places do this too, but it stops me awarding 5 stars.

A really fantastic place just outside Tetbury with loads of local attractions. Just had some food in the bar and it was outstanding.

Came here for an afternoon tea with my partner. It was a Christmas present from her family. I can honestly say I have never been anywhere as majestic and beautiful as this place. I felt like royalty! The afternoon tea was absolutely amazing. Everything about this place is just wonderful. Thank you for a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. A real treat :-)

Very pretty place. First class accommodation. Very helpful staff. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

A Beautiful restored venue. A hotel on the edge of Tetbury. All rooms are on suit, some are cottages in the grounds. A superb wedding venue. Enclosed grounds safe for children. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. Takes well behaved dogs. Well worth a visit.

Lovely surroundings in a quiet area. Stayed in the family room which is two small rooms adjoined, they hold a double and twin room so although small they are not too cramped. They are however on first floor along a long winding corridor so if with a baby you will struggle with a pram. But if you need assistance to carry stuff staff will help. Staff are friendly and check in was quick. Wi-Fi is decent as there is very little 4g reception. Recommended hotel, bar and food there is pricey however so if you want to eat then there are a number of local pubs which are more reasonable.

We booked here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary, We stayed in the sugar suite it was amazing very clean and relaxing! The staff were fantastic, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us! We had breakfast in the room which was delicious! Great location plenty of bars and restaurants near by! Will definitely return to this hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making our anniversary so special!

This place was awesome! After a winding hallway experience up to the rooms, it was great. The best Cappuccino i’ve ever had was in the cafe for breakfast, with a great dinner the night before. The style is so inviting, and the amenities were great. However unlikely, i’d absolutely love to return here!

From the very moment we arrived, we were treated attentively and made to feel very welcome. We stayed in the Magnolia suite which was just fantastic. Everything from the bedding to the soft furnishings have a luxurious edge. We dined in the Beaufort Restaurant and had arguably one of the best meals we have ever had. The breakfast was also delicious. I can't think of a bad word to say. I would heartily recommend a stay in this wonderful hotel where nothing is too much trouble.

Absolutely divine so beautiful and staff from the manager down to waiters and reception were so accommodating. A must see thankyou to the staff.

We had a wonderful one night stay with friends, the staff were attentive and helpful and the food was fab, but most important for us is The Hare and Hounds is truly a dog friendly hotel. This is sensitively shown by the lovely touches, water bowl in the bathroom of our room, a lovely dog bed with blanket to the thoughtfully placed bins for doggie deposits. Well behaved dogs are allowed in many public rooms with the exception of the Beaufort Restaurant but Jack Hare’s Bar do where we had a lovely lunch and there is a menu especially for your dog. We had a springer spaniel puppy of 7 months and she was welcomed although she was still in training! But did behave herself. We shall return, thank you.

Great place to get away to. Not much around but that's what we wanted — had a fun walk up to Tetbury. We stayed in an Ash Suite room which had a separate lounge, beautifully decorated. Dog friendly place. I plan to come back!

Exceptional service from incredible staff, and amazing food from very talented chefs. The venue itself is beautiful and incredibly well presented, from the immaculate rooms and restaurant areas to the spacious and vibrant gardens. Find a reason to stop for a visit. There's nothing not to love about this place.

We stayed in a silkwood court room. It was very nicely decorated. The robe slippers and tea and coffee were lovely. The hotel staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Food from a menu rather than a buffet. Overall very enjoyable stay.

I haven't even stayed the night yet and I'm already incredibly impressed with this hotel. The main building and grounds look fantastic from the outside and the interior is just as striking I was warmly welcomed upon entering the reception area and was given detailed information on dining and other facilities here. The room is without a doubt the best hotel room I have ever seen, it has a large bed with comfortable pillows, a good size desk (big enough for my 17inch laptop and mousepad), a large TV and gorgeous views. The bath was a decent size and the toiletries offered were great. I may adjust this review after my stay but so far it's fantastic!

The Hare and Hounds Tetbury is one of my favourite wedding venues to work at, we have photographed many weddings here. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and easy to work alongside. Its a beautiful location for a wedding, both the house and gardens make for a lovely backdrops.

Overall good food, Warm and contemporary atmosphere, perhaps priced slightly above its value.

What a fantastic wedding venue, very beautiful and set is gorgeous rural surroundings. We were staying for a wedding and I think it's fair to say the couple were happy customers. The staff were polite, professional and attentive to everyone's needs. The room was really very beautifully decorated. My gripe? The cost of drinks and refreshments were outrageous. Two glasses of house wine, £17.50. You could buy the bottle and have change for that where I'm from. The hotel rooms were very pricey so we stayed at a local b&b. Great place if you can put up with the expense.

Stayed one night at the Hare and Hounds which was just up the road from the arboretum. We had a wonderful welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly. The hotel was so relaxing and the grounds were beautiful. Plenty of parking. We stayed in the cottage in the ground which was so quiet at night. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The room and bathroom was spotless. The waitress made a point of giving us a lovely table in the window and served us a delicious breakfast. We met other people who also recommended the afternoon tea. I would definitely come back to this hotel. Thank you so much for making a short stay so special.

Lovely place to visit and have food with an extensive wine and drinks menu. High quality, very tasty food, well made and presented. Lovely old country manor feel with pleasant staff.

Service was friendly and efficient although some of the staff weren't sure what food they were bringing from the kitchen. But it worked out. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The building is stunning. The food was delicious. It is a bit pricey but worth it. We will definitely be going back.

A fantastic hotel in an amazing place we stayed in the Magnolia room which was a lovely suite although did have a smell of damp when we walked into the room and the floor felt wet.

Perfect stopping off place for a treat! We had a lovely room with a walk bathroom, as requested. The gardens are spacious with plenty of outside seating.

Decent hotel at the edge of Cotswolds. Cottages are pretty. Food at the bar is decent enough. The night menu is slightly underwhelming.

Loved the setting of this hotel, quiet and picturesque. The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable. Staff were all helpful and polite. The only little bugbear was the evening meal, I like hearty meals so a little disappointed.

My daughter and son in law recently celebrated their wedding here and I cannot praise this wonderful hotel enough. Everything was done with such gusto and the staff were amazing. I have to say though that the head waiter, whose name I cannot recall gave us the best service ever. His treatment towards myself and our guests was simply exquisite. He was attentive and totally at our service and he certainly made our day. We had a large table of rowdy spaniards at out wedding breakfast and they were totally blown away when they received a charming young Spanish waiter who looked after them excellently. I cannot Thank the Hare and Hounds enough for making my daughters wedding a truly wonderful experience and would recommend this venue to the highest.

Today was my Mother's 91st birthday. She has been in a Residential Home since leaving hospital last November. My father still lives in their marital home and visits her as often as he can but is dependant on others to drive him. They have been married for 64years. Today was the first day that they have been out for lunch together since living apart. I chose the Hare & Hounds because I knew that they would both feel "at home" there — they have lived a mile away for the past 64 years. I was not disappointed. From the minute I walked in to ask if we could lunch in the lounge until we left two & a half hours later the staff could not have been more helpful. Every single request was granted, furniture rearranged, menu tailored to requirements, Mum and Dad were cared for and pampered! I cannot thank you enough for making Mum's Birthday so special, to see them out enjoying themselves meant so much and would not have been possible without your hospitality. Thank you.

Recently attended a business event at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and they provided a great selection of snacks throughout the day. The grounds are well cared for and I'm sure you'd enjoy a stay in their hotel rooms overnight.

Service for our light lunch was perfect. We were seated with our dog in a quiet corner, dealt with fast and the food was lovely.

Had a really nice weekend here, the grounds and hotel were quaint and immaculate, and the restaurant food was superb!

This was the first place we went as a weekend together and were blown away at the location, the room and the service. The BLT sandwiches are also to die for! We have since returned quite a few times and have had consistent experiences. So much so we will be getting married there next year. I highly recommend this for a romantic weekend away, a nice country walk to thier sister hotel in Tetbury The Close is always good. They have a really nice brasserie.

Fantastic place to stay and eat, will be staying here again in the future. Although don't ask for your steak well done, the chef's not happy with that as I found out.

Totaly over priced for the room as we couldnt even walk around our bed for the travelcot they put in for us! stayed better at a travellodge! I called them up two days after just to let them know my feed back, I wasnt looking for any compansation as we didnt pay for the room ourself, left three messages for manager to call me, its now 3 weeks ago and no one has rung me back, TERRIBLE managment training and this is what furriates me the most.

3.30 for a pint of coke. VFM? No.

Perfectly pleasant establishment but a non-refundable deposit even if you cancel 3 weeks beforehand. Not good really; H& H isn't that good.

Stayed at the hotel for two nights and had the best time ever. We stayed in the gamekeepers cottage — it is amazing! The decor and artwork throughput the hotel are beautiful and all the staff are great. Can't wait to return.
