A magnificent 16th century building in beautifuly kept gardens. Nice and friendly when booking in. Our room exceeded our expectations.

Didn’t stay here just had afternoon tea in the garden but staff were smart, polite, friendly and efficient. Regularly go out for afternoon tea with family or friends and this was one of the best we’ve had.

The best meal I’ve had in forever! Waitress was a delight, so helpful. Room is beautiful x can’t wait to come back k xxx.

Loved our stay! All the staff were so friendly, the room was very large and decorated nicely. Comfiest bed we’ve slept in for a while! On top of that the food in the restaurant was out of this world. Highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel.

Lovely quaint hotel and welcoming staff. However it doesn't live up to how its represented online. Parts of the hotel are run down and the atmosphere is very dreary. Feels more like somewhere you'll stop for a night when in the middle of travelling as opposed to a place you spend a weekend. I didn't have lunch or dinner but the breakfast was pretty bad (a disclaimer: I'm a big foodie so have eaten out a lot. ) Furthermore, I was told I'd get a certain room and upon arrival I was given another which was smaller. Driving in from London meant checking in at midnight and we spent 20mins wandering around looking for someone on night duty and there wasn't a single other person around. Overall I paid a lot of money for a very average room which wasn't worth the price when looking at it competitively and I was so disheartened to learn that for an extra £100 I could've booked somewhere much better with better facilities nearby such as whatley Manor or Calcot Manor.

Good food, good service and a great venue, certainly for an anniversary lunch in the garden. Pleasant and unhurried even when busy. Champagne by the glass helped!

I stayed in this very welcome hotel for business purposes in Womad Festival 2018. From the very very welcomed receptionists all the staff were very kind and professional. The room was very clean with all the basics and very comfortable. Then I upgraded to a double room for my last day which was very clean and comfortable as well. Personally I would like to say a massive THANK you to all the people from the Hotel there who helped me during my business travel there! Highly recommended Hotel and I will plan to stay with my wife very soon!

Experience country side at its best! The lawns drive you into serenity. Enjoy the chef special English meals perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Loved this hotel. The host was so engaging. Really seemed to care about our experience. Room was huge. The restuart/garden was absolutely amazing. It is a wonder spot for dinner and to wind down with a drink. We had both dinner and the included breakfast at their restaurant. Dinner was excellent as was the cooked to order breakfast.

Great atmosphere sitting in the garden for a spot of lunch and a large pitcher of my favourite summer time tipple. If you’re ever in Tetbury give it a try!

Wonderful hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff. Stayed for one day on route back from Cornwall and wish we'd stayed an extra day. The room was just beautiful and we'll kept. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating with our pooch.

A favourite for coffee now and a great venue we got married at some 10 years ago. The walled garden to the rear is wonderful if the weather is nice. The building is beautiful.

Great place to visit especially after a long dog walk. Very dog friendly.

Lovely boutique hotel. I love my room called Deco, big and beautiful. The breakfast is wonderful with freshly cooked breakfast. Will stay again.

We received a very warm welcome even though there was only 15min available to order our lunch which I thought was really nice, as most places don’t demonstrate that level of service.
Stunning food & great value plus the excellent Way the food was presented. At no we were not pressured in making our meal choices even though were came in very close to the lunch time.
Stunning atmosphere & I would recommend this lovely establishment to my friends.

What a great hotel and it’s fantastic staff. We made a last minute change of hotel to The Close as the one we had booked was not suitable. They looked after us the moment we arrived, all the small touches made a big difference in our stay. We loved the very tasteful decor, comfortable rooms with the Molton Brown products. Great selection of delicious cocktails and drinks and the food was scrumptious. Thank you to everyone that looked after us we had a great stay and we will be booking again very soon.

Some issues but staff are lovely and very helpful. Only downer is no cancellation and not sure Quality and price are that great but it is still very good.

Wow, what a place! We had the most wonderful, restful weekend here. Obviously pricey but you absolutely get what you're paying for. Perfect for a relaxing weekend away and loads to do nearby. Only downside was that our room didn't have a bath, but the shower was lovely and the room absolutely spotless. Very comfy beds and Molton Brown bath and shower stuff. Staff were lovely, can't recommend highly enough.

Excellent little hotel in a cute town. I had a lovely time here the rooms and hotel are both clean and cozy. The room itself was to a very good standard and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are very happy to help Keith anything you need and always have a smile. The food is to a very good quality and cooked with care. The wireless is good but don't expect to stream anything at high quality.

Food is amazing. The fixed price lunch menu is a bargain for the top quality food on offer. Service is spot on too.

Quaint and cosy hotel in the heart of an amazing part of England. We loved the little touches like the flapjack with coffee and the Molton Brown products in the bathroom. It can be a little noisy as it faces a main road.

From arrival to departure, our stay at The Close Hotel was excellent. The hotel is set in a wonderful old building with a few qwerks. The rooms are homely and well kept and the bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was superb with a nice range of local produce on the continental table and the full English was perfectly cooked — not greasy. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Tetbury.

Lovely hotel, with a nice combination of old world charm and historic architecture and more modern though still classical interior design. The food (for 14) at our family celebration was excellent — a nice selection on the menu, great flavours and served by efficient and friendly staff. Recommended.

Very disappointing. Poor service. No fresh lime or lime juice. Ordered 3 Caeser Salads as main courses. £11.50 each. Small portions. Ridiculously priced. Looked like starters. Chicken not fresh. All sauces/relishes in plastic sachets. Will never revisit or recommend.
