Food as expected from a national chain. Disappointed though could not have a mixed grill due to the lamb which I don't eat could not be changed due to coming in the same package as the rest of the meat. So no cooking involved? Was able to meet son's requirements due to not eating chips will only eat fries or sweet potato chips.

Went yesterday for a meal. Used the app which is easy to use, food and drinks came in a timely manner. The staff are fab! A bit of commotion started at the bar and the staff members made sure to check on all other customers to make sure that they were okay and comfortable. Nothing was too much hassle for them. Will definitely return here when in the area!

Good food and good drinks. Reasonably cheap for what it is. Lots of space. Bar tenders are pretty nice but not the most friendly.

Right in the middle of the main street in Henley, 2 minutes walk from the Thames. Good location. This is a Wetherspoons pub. Incredibly cheap. £40 gets you a very nice clean well decorated room, quite posh really, with enough change to buy a breakfast downstairs in the morning. Comfortable bed, really pleasant. Almost no pub noise reached my room. Quite a classy place, for less than half the price of the cheapest competition locally. How they do it to this standard for the money I don’t know. Excellent.

I had the ultimate burger and it was delicious. It includes chips and onions rings I that love. They serve quite big portions and includes the drink for a very good price. We had a great time here.

A local regular: good drinks with a rotating selection of new ones to try if you're feeling adventurous. The food is simple, hearty, and satisfying for prices that don't leave you gasping. For breakfast it's my favorite place in town: all the fare you'd expect (with perfectly cooked eggs) plus limitless coffee from the espresso machine, which warms this coffee snob's heart. Just across the street from the market square, it would be hard pressed to get a better location. It's surprisingly spacious inside with two bars, two seating areas, an outdoor seating area, and am inn above. And, for Henley, some of the best prices in town, making it popular with locals and tourists alike.

A wetherspoons pub with it's usual affordable food and drink. Decor was nice and the veranda was remarkable. Polite staff and speedy service.

One of the best Wetherspoons! A large pub with several areas for to it. Food is usual standard. Hotel is also good according to a friend who has stayed here.

Went to Henley for a family day out and decided to have lunch at the Catherine Wheel. It was busy but we quickly found a table, we ordered our food through their mobile app and it was delivered tomorrow table incredibly quickly (about 10 minutes! ). The food was really good! My mixed grill was cooked perfectly, my partner loved her chicken and my 5 year old daughter was stuffed and couldn't finish for once! All very good and set us up for a wander around the town!

Great environment, courteous service, but our pet friends are not well accepted, in a few hours there is a lot of confusion, but the food is good and cheap with good variety of choice.

Excellent value considering the area, exactly what you need for a overnight stay somewhere. Room could be in better condition but you can't complain when you've got the cheapest place for food and drinks downstairs!

Fast but decent food. Good selection with helpful and young vibrant staff. Good selection of their own ales and other drinks also free coffee refills.

The bar/dining area was busy but the staff were efficient and friendly. This is a big pub with lots of seating, yet it was hard to find a table as the place is popular. We ordered at the bar and our orders were served to our table. Great food and service!

Very clean and prompt service! Sometimes I’ve ordered food at the bar and by the time you go to take a seat the food and waiter are waiting for you to return to the table with food in hand! Great, cheap rooms for stop overs in a sort after location! Well run establishment.

Looks fancy, but it is just a big pub. It might have a hotel inside, but that was not clear. Most of the beer taps were empty when we went, so there was very little choice of beer, despite the big range of taps. We had to have bottled beer. All show and no substance.

Love the Catherine Wheel. My grandma used to take me there back in the 60's. It was a real treat. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Always a good menu choice and selection of drinks. Lots of historical details about the building. Toilet area is huge. Just a shame they stopped serving Sunday roasts.

What a disapointment! Asked for a blue steak and got presented with medium rare. I'm a chef and know how to cook steak to perfection! They said it was blue and after telling him how to cook it he presented me with an undercooked cold steak. Then said they aren't allowed to do it blue due to health and safety and that I should have been told when ordering. Took it to till and demanded a refund and a free meal. They were good enough to do that. It wasn't any of there fault of course, the chef "cooked" it after all.

Good for slightly cheaper meals than places like the harvester, they have really nice chips and all food seems decent in general. Would highly recommend.

In the past been very impressed with the food at Wetherspoons, great value for money, you got what you paid for. We booked a table for 10 for our Christmas Party and wanted to buy all our staff a drink and main meal. Manager was rude and refused to allow us to have a tab for drink or food so had to pay individually, not remotely helpful! Food arrived very quickly but some dishes were very disappointing. Bacon cheese burger, the bacon was cold l, straight out the fridge. Other meals were just not hot enough. All staff had a lovely evening but food and service had a lot to be desired for! Disappointed as I was a fan of Weatherspoons.

Water was cold in room. Cleanliness poor. Parking costs extra. No curtain in bathroom. Only one person serving for breakfast so takes ages, gave up in the end. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed with the service and food. Order was completely wrong on breakfast, food was cold and waited 10 minutes for drinks. Won't be going back.

Good experience from booking in to booking out. Receptionist very helpful Room was fitted out for the disabled which we had asked for. Very large bathroom with lots of aids for the bath shower which is needed as bath very deep Overall a good experience.

Clean, friendly, lots of space in the pub. Food and drinks great. I recommend the sausage and mash. The Green King IPA was spot on as well.

The food was great. It arrived quickly, as described and was hot. The prices are also good and it is good most meals come with a drink included. The dessert menu is not large but it was good enough and the cheesecake with berry coulis very tasty. Staff were friendly. The pub was busy and seems popular.

Visited this morning after a walk around Henley and had an amazing Breakfast. Staff are always verry helpfully and friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Usual Wetherspoon's pub with good value food and drink. The food we had was served quickly and was all above average. Nice setting in Henley.

I booked a family room for my children and I. We drove from the south and at arrival I was informed that parking reservation is required. I had to park outside. The room was pleasent but the toilet and the bath were not clean. Helpful staff and supportive.

Visited last night, was impressed with how big it was. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very good and seemed to be larger portions than at my regular Wetherspoons.

It's quite a good Wetherspoons… well priced against other local bars and restaurants. It's not gourmet dining but great value for money and service is good. Recommended if you don't want to pay 50% more for a river view.

Our 3rd time dinning here and the 4th won't be far away. Price and food good for all. Recommend a visit then chill by the Thames after.

Great food with quick service. Had the quinoa salad which is brand new, and was delicious. Couldn't recommend enough for the price in Henley.

Busy so a little slow at the bar but value for money food and drinks. Always have a deal. Regular lunchtime customer there. Convenient, recommended.

Large seating area. Visited on Sunday morning for breakfast. Reasonably busy but food arrived quickly and was good. Certainly one of the nicer Weatherspoons.

I've been to better Wetherspoons, however I'd say this is one of the good one's (and very big! ) — we visited twice: once for breakfast (which was very good! ) And once for lunch (which was below average). However, all in all, the service was good and the presentation of the restaurant was very nice.

So after a terrible Sunday lunch at The Bull on Bell Street (see my previous review! ), we decided on The Catherine Wheel for some food and drinks during the day on NYE. Okay so there is no table service, it is quite dark in the interior and very busy but what amazing value and service. Food arrived hot and there was plenty of it (unlike The Bull on Bell Street which was double the price! ). The kids also had a good pudding and enjoyed the drawing, quiz and games. Bravo, will be back soon! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the clientele tend to be a little rougher than some of the more expensive places: I am not being a snob but this old boy who was a bit tiddled did a huge burp/belch as he walked past, kids thought it was hilarious but not so much by me.

Plenty of space. Great range of drinks. It's a modern chain pub but not devoid of warmth and cosiness. It's never going to win any favourite pub ever awards but if a place I keep returning to.
