We booked this at last minute for New Years Eve dinner. What a fantastic evening we had. The fizz flowed freely alongside delicious canapes, our food was amazing and more fizz at midnight accompanied by the piper. Great service — staff were very polite and obliging. Highly recommend the Redesdale for food — we weren't staying there so can comment on accommodation.

Had a really lovely weekend here. Lovely big room, amazing dinner friday night and fantastic service. Everything felt very "normal" during these strange times which was a breath of fresh air.

We had a lovely meal here last night with our family. A large table next to an open fire, friendly staff & the steak pie was just perfect on a winters evening. We have visited many times over the years & the Redesdale never disappoints. Thank you.

The Redesdale serves the most amazing Sunday lunch, best enjoyed in the gorgeous dining room, but you can use the bar, lounge, conservatory or beer garden. Great value and super service.

Food only not stayed in hotel. Found staff very unwelcoming. The food however was out of this world if I could just rate the chef I'd leave 5***** and more if option was available. Ordered a ham sandwich. (Sounds simple huh? ). Fresh beutiful Brown bread served with a platter of a salad that was out of this world. And Nachos. Absolutely amazing food. My mum had a toad in the hole. Also amazing. Meals are huge I warn you now. I couldn't eat the sandwich. The toad in the hole was massive. Like I say my only complaint is non welcoming staff who just didn't seem to want us there. Even though we had done nothing wrong!

Late check in pleasant front desk and knew who we were and why we were here little touches are the best ones Everything from fresh coffee in the too. S to free nightcap sleptike an angel. Great food just a fantastic stay.

We stayed here last Thursday for a wedding and we were so pleased. Lovely place, free parking and a good price. Staff were amazing and we were shown up to our room. Room was a little warm but it was a very hot day! Breakfast was lovely and there was lots to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great staff and hotel. We had a very nice room on the 2nd level outside. Very private and even has a little entry area for luggage. Very charming room! Also great area to explore other villages nearby with great bus transportation.

Very helpful staff, great location. Loved staying in this old inn. Food was good too. Only problem was the hot water required running the tap for 5 mins due to age of building.

Our meal experience was just ok. The food seemed bland … especially the sauteed mushrooms need more spices. The decor did not seem pub-like as we had expected. The staff were great with one noteable exception: the lady with short blonde hair seemed surly. We really preferred The Plough Inn pub in nearby Stretton-on-Fosse.

Great stay! Lovely breakfast. Restaurant was full on Friday night due to the fish and chips supper deal.

What a wonderful surprise this place was!
Behind the beautiful Cotswold exterior are wonderful rooms, great staff and wonderful food. Really is a wonderful place and would have no hesitation in going back our Sunday lunch was a real treat, very tasty and well cooked.

More than a pub meal! Great restaurant, always interesting menu, well cooked and presented with excellent service. Good value at around £27 per person for two courses and drinks. Can’t fault it after 5 years.

Stayed there 21st April for my girlfriends birthday. The room was wonderful, the service was great and the food could not have been better. The whole experience made for a great weekend.

Small but high quality and (on occasions) slightly unusual menu — not a bad thing. Lovely staff and efficient staff. Note … Caravan Club members get a free drink (limited choice) with a selection of the menu.

Pricey but that's the whole area. Car park free but small. Complimentary sherry only any good for cooking. Unless I had to be in the town centre I'd probably book outside of town and save a few pounds.

Lovely hotel, nice warm atmosphere and I would stay again if I returned to the area. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t really fault the he place. There was noisy plumbing at 6.40am and a plumber was there by 7.30am. Next morning not a peep. Very well managed in my opinion. Also the fried breakfast was lovely two days in a row, I have two days left and I am looking forward to the food. I will have to try the evening menu.

Room was clean & tidy but we only had half the towels we were meant to have, the walls are very thin & we didn't have any hot water in the morning. Not worth mentioning for a one night stay.
Staff were friendly. We ate in the restaurant at night & breakfast in the morning, both were very nice.
The managers had left a bottle of fizz in our room as it was our wedding anniversary, nice touch.

I just ordered the "Gloucester free range belly pork smoked apple puree, black pudding and crispy kale". The belly pork was smaller than my thumb, the black pudding was coated in breadcrumbs and the size of a McChicken nugget and the kale so small I could barely find it. Do yourself a favour and spend ten pounds on something bigger elsewhere. For Christ's sake. Great place if your'e a multi millionaire or trying to impress a first date. Terrible if a five percent body fat isn't your thing…

Food was ok. Nothing special but not terrible either. Good selection of beer. Friendly staff.

Room was lovely, bed comfortable but the ensuite did let it down. Shower and hand basin had not been checked by housekeeping and were faulty. The towels were clean and fresh. T. V did not work in the morning. Staff very pleasant. We ate in the restaurant but the food although read well on the menu was disappointing as not hot enough and my starters were poor for a pate and my husband's looked as though it had been reheated more than once. The cooked breakfast was sufficient to suit all although the staff do need to check more often to refill. We would stay again but not eat there. It was easy to park the car but signage to the car park is poor.

This is what walkers like us deserve after 22k walk in the countryside. Nicely-presented and tasty food. The sausages were delicious — not just average sausages — and the mash not too seasoned so that the grave could do its job. Perfectly-cooked vegetable. The liver and crispy bacon was very good too. In fact we even tried the dessert: a salted-caramel brownie with vanilla ice cream. I don't eat sugar but that dessert was worth a try. The whole meal felt like a treat after hours of walking. The atmosphere of the place is nice too. Why not 5 stars? Maybe this is a 5-star review for a pub we stumbled upon but I'll keep the last star for something more memorable.

Nice people & a nice room. The bar was good as was the breakfast. BUT, the room temaptures seriously need looking at! The room was like a sauna. Absolutely roasting, the staff obviously know this as there was a fan on the bed side table — this did nothing unfortunately. I opened the window but as it's on a fairly busy road that made it noises. Noise or heat? Your choice! I probably wouldn't stay here again due to this which is ia kitty as the place has so much potentially.

Goods news bad news. Nice staff. Ordered, as many Yanks do, my hamburger "well done", and discussed same with waiter to be sure we were all speaking the same language. Burger arrived mostly uncooked. Didn't make a stink; was just going to chalk it up to cultural differences. Manager would not hear of it and refunded price of the meal. Great people, cool place. Certainly worthy of a second chance. Companion's meal was on the money, no complaints.

This was a superb recommendation from the great Western Arms pub in Blockly as they didn't do food on a Sunday evening. The environment was perfect, decorated extremely well the food was superb and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Right in the middle of town. The room was nice, and the restaurant was very accommodating to my wife's gluten-free requirements. We would definitely visit again.

A nicely laid out pub, with a good beer garden and a wide variety of ales on tap. Slightly pricey for the area hence the 4 stars.

A great evening had simply by the fire in the bar with excellent bar food, even for a vegetarian, which often gets overlooked. Smiley staff topped it off.

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was good and reasonably priced. Particularly worth mentioning all the staff who were consistently very attentive and pleasant, in the restaurant, in the bar and at reception. We'll go there again — not inclined to try any of the other hotels in Moreton.

Have used this place many a time, but my, have the prices gone up for drinks! I'll still use the the place as it beats all the other pubs hands down.

I have experienced thje atmosphere and friendly surroundings of the Redesdale on a number of occasions. The Staff are very friendly and helpful, and always make you welcome The surroundings a very clean with modern toilet facilities The Beer, a wide variety of local ales and the old favourites good prices for the area Superb Beer Garden doubles as smoking area but don't let it put you off as its very well ventilated, gets sunshine late into evening.

Absoloutely adore it. Love to go there and all of my family and friends do to.
