A STUNNING building that is wonderfully decorated. The food was/is glorious. A must visit if ever in Cheltenham?
I’d highly recommended it.
We SHALL be back.

Wow! What a stay. Just left 131 after an extraordinary romantic anniversary stay. We did The Great Escape package which promises a lot and totally delivers — fantastic drinks, delicious food, gorgeous period surroundings, comfy bed, luxury products and super friendly staff — tonnes of personality wrapped up in a lovely offer. Thanks to all and especially Rebecca for the local recommendations and personal touch!

Only ate here but great menu and attentive service.

The security staff are rude and asked me to leave once the 7 other people in our group left. The barman was as surprised as I was. avoid.

Expensive, unfortunately not enough bar staff. But lovely! Needs table service to be sublime.

Refusing access to guide dog, as it “would offend customers” absolutely disgusting! And a poor excuse. Illegal for 1 and also discrimination of the blind! Then tried to worm there way out of it on social media saying the music would of been to Loud for the dog.

Second time back and felt that we had to try it again after an average experience a few years back and I think it’s still average.
The room is pretty impractical to spend any time in, as there is no where to sit, except in the bed. The wet room is very small with no room to place any belongings or even a towel rail. Then if you are unfortunate enough to have a room facing the front, then you get very little sleep because of the traffic and the towns party animals shouting and screaming outside your room all night.
I’m surprised it continues to do so well, it’s chic and nice, but just not as good as it’s reputation in my humble opinion. It served a purpose for us to get away from home and get some much needed work complete, but certainly wouldn’t go back for a 3rd time sadly.

First stay for me but my partner had been there before. Room was superb with the shower room one of the best ever. Bed was on a par if not better with Doyle Collection Hotel a group which we measure on for comfort. To cap it all the Best Chateau Briand we have ever had and we have been lucky enough to sample some sort f the best. It was cooked to perfection and presentation and quality were superb. It was one of the largest we have ever had and whilst at top end price wise we would havecagain without a second thought. Service was superb (we ate in Crazy Eights) and bar man was very engaging with conversation and suggestions for Cocktails and Gins. First class lol round. We have already re booked.
