Food is amazing and staff are really friendly. Place lovely, warm and cosy. Food is always lovely and tasty. Also loving the new gin menu.

A total DISGRACE of a meal. 1 slice of bread and next to no cheese, 1/4 of a conichon pickle, 6 baby spinach leaves with half a cherry tomatoe does NOT a ploughman's lunch make. 0 out 10 for that. The burger was ok if you like McDonald happy meal size portions. The garlic bread I'm guessing frozen from Morrisons or Tesco… All in all one of the WORST meals we've ever had served to us and we certainly won't be eating there again. The girls out front though were very pleasant and helpful.

An empty dining area = A wait of 45 mins for garlic bread. Starters given to adults 5 minutes before the children. The children’s fish main dinner was inedible. The sea bass was over cooked and flavourless. The chips were under cooked.

A Lovely and Welcoming atmosphere in the Rose and Crown and a nice cool Cider on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Sadly no Greene King available though.

Hmm. Triple fried chips that were oven chips, a pile of dirty table cloths sat on a high chair, a pub singer who was far too loud for the small space, and a buffet for a party that didn't seem to have appeared, plonked in the middle of the dining area. And what was the dry white bread in the buffet for? Elwood Blues to make his own toast? The £25 steaks weren't £25. On the plus, the waitress was good — friendly and helpful, the liver and bacon was tasty, and the lamb shank was well received.
