We had a wonderful afternoon tea here today and the staff were all very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to the two ladies who served us our delicious afternoon tea. I’m so sorry I have forgotten your names but I know your names both started with the same letter. Lisa and Lucy I think. Lovely fresh sandwiches and selection of cakes and scones with jam and clotted cream and a lovely pot of tea (or two). Although not local, I met up with a lovely friend and it was like a halfway meeting point! I Will definitely be recommending to friends. Thank you!

Me and my mum came for a chicken curry this evening and it was absolutely delicious! Couldn’t fault it at all and the service was brilliant! Definitely recommend Monday curry night to all!

Second visit to Linden House, four of us had three courses and a bottle of Prossecco for £103.40! A very nice location and excellent value.

Host prooved to be unscrupulsly hostile watch out anyone going here the host will try to relieve you of more cash than any agreement.

I was here for the signature of the twinning between Stansted and rungis. The breakfast for the business forum was wonderfull and the dinner exceptionnal

Stayed at Linden House recently for a business meeting with a client flying in from Berlin the next morning. The clients loved the English breakfast and the evening stay was also very pleasant. Very comfortable and welll appointed rooms, good food & wine in the restaurant for dinner and very attentive and pleasant staff. Would certainly stay again if I need to fly from Stansted or the Cambridge area. Overall very good value too.

The rooms smelt lovely, bathroom was gorgeous and big. However, sadly, we shouldn't shower as the glass shower panel had come out of its runner and we couldn't fix it — something that the cleaners should have picked up and reported. The shower door wouldn't close or open. The TV was small and high up in a corner, So it wasn't really that comfortable to lay in bed and watch tv. No in — room fridge, only In the hall way up to the rooms — however they had complementary milks and waters on offer, with all sorts of different tea bags to take up to your rooms. Just a shame you can't keep the milk cold in your room! Some lights didn't work. No parking on site, have to park in a public car park opposite, across the road. Bit of a shame. I will mention though, great customer service, lovely decor; very regal. Lovely breakfast, although when we went down there was no milk, pastries or cereal left. We had to wait about 25 minutes for them to be restocked. The breakfast was lovely and the team were great!

We have been here for two weeks, so we have a well based opinion. This is a unique bootique hotel, made with special hands. We are not on holiday this time, but going to work, yet, after a long working day, it is a shelter that feels like being home. We only have breakfast, yet it is made and served in a high class manner and style. Thank you! Thank you for Header! (for all breakfast with salmon-:)! Nora&Ben.

On the 19th December we had our office Christmas Lunch at Linden House and it was fantastic. A lovely time was had by all and I believe in praise where praise is due! Sorry for the late feedback, but we have only just returned after our Christmas break. The atmosphere was lovely, helped by the stunning decorations! The food was amazing and everyone who attended thoroughly enjoyed it and commented on how nice it was – the meringue pillow was a massive hit and the chocolate cake is one of the best I have tasted. The Belstar prosecco is also very good and the fab news is the pink one will be available soon! But the biggest praise of all must go to the staff who looked after us, they were absolutely brilliant – so friendly, professional and a credit to Linden House.

I never write online reviews but was impelled to on this occasion, it was absolutely superb, best food and service in a LONG time time. I will be making the trip from London again in the new year. It was THAT good xx.

Looked beautiful on the outside, however, no one there to greet us, finally shown to our room, no offer of any help with our bags which was made difficult due to the gravelled courtyard.
Was originally excited about the menu, only to be told that it was “Monday madness” and that it was a very limited menu, we declined as it was not appealing.
Soap had almost ran out in the bathroom, the toilet seat was not fixed in place either.
Slats missinf from the shutters and also a huge stain on the ceiling due to the fan not working.
The breakfast, however, was lovely.
Unfortunately it wasn’t the best start to our honeymoon.
Quite disappointed.

I'd like to extend my gratitude to the staff at Linden House for a wonderful experience on 19th November 2017. Myself and my friends had planned a surprise for my wife's birthday and not only were the staff astonishingly helpful, professional and accommodating, but the food was incredible. I couldn't fault the experience at all, particularly as the setting was stunning and the ambience perfect. Many Thanks again to all at Linden House, we will certainly be back.

Went for a family birthday lunch, which with a variety of ages, the service was very attentive & not intrusive. The freshly sourced & well cooked food was excellent, I had the mussels to start probably the best I have tasted for ages! Followed by salmon another well cooked dish both easy to overcook! I was alas food envious of my son in-law who had fillet steak! All in the party went home happily full! I don't often comment on restaurants but this is a gem & I think many would miss due to its location! Do try it far better than one of the many chain eateries and a modest price certainly for lunch! Parking although very close is not on site.

Thank you to all at Linden House for ensuring that Dads 80th birthday celebrations surpassed his expectations. Anna, Ben and the team ensured that nothing was too much trouble. All of our guests enjoyed their time with you. Thank you. I'm sure that we will be back — possibly not with 40 friends!

Nice menu, good tasting food, Pleasant staff. A good place overall.

Friendly bar staff but they require more training. Ordered an expensive gin with tonic and when asked if I would like peppercorns in it, I received cracked black pepper making it impossible to drink! I'll remember to stick to lemon next time!

Service was slap dash no one really knew what was going on. The food was not very impressive especially the goats cheese salad.

Lovely little place to stay and perfect if you're going to the airport! Dinner was absolute perfection and the staff were extremely attentive. The only thing that was an issue for us is that the room was so so hot and the 'emergency exit' sign was very bright which made it hard to fall asleep.

Comfortable, clean hotel that's ideally located for travel from Stansted Airport. Room had some small issues though with damaged blinds, missing bulbs. Also the room was very hot but had no air con.

My husband booked 2 nights for my 40th birthday… The hotel looked really good from the outside, but on inspection — numerous things were not right…
1) Very large water stain above bed
2) Wires were exposed on kettle lead
3) Slats were broken on blinds
4) Headboard covered in dust
5) Forgetfull staff
6) Pillows are not to our liking (would be nice to have choice of soft or firm)
7) Hardly any toiletries
8) Dinner menu in our room did not match dinner menu in resturant
9) No steak at all available on menu
10) Really hot in room but cool in other areas of hotel. *Needs some TLC to remain 5

Had a decent stay here, but maybe not the luxury I had hoped from a 5 star hotel. Parking is limited but there's a public car park nearby which is free on Saturday night and Sundays. The room was well presented, though a bit small with a tiny tv. Shower was excellent. Breakfast was nice. Overall it was very decent but not enough for me to consider it over a travelodge type.

Awesome birthday party at Linden Hous on Saturday night. Staff and venue brilliant food tasty and drinks full flowing. Staff venue and the whole place I totally recommend. Brilliant.

As a passing business client looking for a good quality hotel close to Stansted airport I booked in to Linden House / The Vine. Must say ticks many boxes, especially those little bits that make a stop over, especially business one, much better ie (and I am sure many other business people will recognise too) plenty of plugs in room, also close by the bed, your own kettle and plenty of coffee and tea, television (working with sat channels), plenty of towels and dressing gown plus slippers. Also, nice addition of fridges in corridors with complimentary bottle water and fresh milk. Thanks.

What a delight when my daughter suggested we go to Linden House for Mothers Day breakfast. What a pity it didnt feel very special. Table was booked for 10.30 and we arrived promptly, we were asked politely to vacate the table by 12 noon which was not a problem and understandable considering it would have been a busy lunchtime. However, we felt rushed and uncared for, plenty of attention when asked if we'd ordered. Order taken coffee and tea arrived, food arrived then we were left no offer to refresh my coffee or if we wanted something else. Would have quite liked a glass of champagne with my breakfast as it was a treat! Shame really because we are a local family and often go out together for dinner but sadly wont be returning. Sophia.

Food was nice with a lovely setting to match.

Really rather disappointed with the snubbing we received one Sunday afternoon. We were a party of 9 but were refused service of a round of drinks at 17:30. We were told they stopped serving at 4pm although I thought this was just the kitchen… Pretty amazed as there were other customers who clearly had fresh drinks! Luckily got a pint at the Cork House!

Just had our work's Christmas party. Great atmosphere, staff attentive. Let down by the portion size of the food, however. Plus potatoes do not come with some of the main meals, such as the salmon.
