It’s Good. Luckily our room was see view room. We enjoyed hole night. Only things is you can’t open windows.
Friendly staff. Kids eat free breakfast.

Lovely room but awful breakfast service no staff to accommodate the number of guests! all profit no service! feel sorry for your staff where is the support for them.

Hotel was great. Very friendly and courteous staff.
Room was clean. Bed was a little on the small side.
Shame the balcony wasn’t accessible to guests. Only downside was that on the last day we ordered breakfast, thinking it would be quicker than walking into town. It took 40mins to be seated and a further 40 minutes to get food. The restaurant seemed like it was practically empty, the other guests that were there were all complaining. We complained at reception and got a full refund with no hassle. Great service from the hotel team. Would stay in the hotel. Would not have food there.

Bit disappointed with afternoon meals. Service extremely slow, food was reasonable. Waited ages for dessert, slow attendance to table Service it wasn’t busy but seemed to me our waiter didn’t have a clue. Could go on but I won’t. On the other hand breakfast was fantastic good service.

Good hotel reception brilliant service. Room with a sea view Breakfast service not so good as waited 20 minutes to even take my order was in there 90 mins max. Restaurant in the evening absolutely fantastic service. We stayed there for 3 nights breakfast service was always the same.

A pleasant short break with our young Grandsons. Hotel is clean and tidy with a Brewers Fayre attached for breakfast or evening meals, suggest booking can get. Busy at times!
We had a family room (116) first floor with a sea view quite spacious too.

Only stayed one night but everything was lovely and all you need and well worth the price and more.

Just came home from the wonderful Eastern Esplanade Premier Inn. I was in a family room with my 2 little ones. Cot was fine, my son slept great. We all did! lovely view of the sea to wake up to. Minimal noise from other guests (only heavy footed people). Staff were fabulous. Used fridge in reception for toddler's milk. Staff on 24 hours a day so was not a problem, they were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing! Something for everyone, very fresh food, and again staff were all excellent. 10/10. Thanks to you all.

Great friendly staff, good car park, quiet rooms and a sea view if you call to arrange (depending on availability). You will not find a better hotel in Southend, stopped here for months with work and never had a bad meal in the Brewers Fayre attached to it. The staff are the most helpful, I have come across and they are a credit to the company. Would certainly recommend this Premier Inn, as it is close to the attractions but your sleep is not disrupted by noise.

But the balcony is locked because apparently stag and hen parties kept jumping off.

My poor husband is staying here at the moment…
On Monday night he woke up at 1.30am to something biting him. He turned a light on to find several bed bugs full of his blood in his bed! Blood on sheets and his pillow,
He had two showers then a bath as he was itching like crazy!
He is absolutely covered in bed bug bites
He was moved to another room in the early hours of Tuesday morning, the hotel paid £8 for some medication oh and a free breakfast which as he’s there on business doesn’t compensate him in anyway!
The room was apparently cleaned but how on earth they think that bed bugs won’t be on other rooms is beyond me!.
The staff are not interested, in his complaint just told to follow a complaint procedure.
This is so unacceptable, if our children had been covered in bites I would be seeking legal advice and this premier inn should be ashamed my husband is sleep deprived and looks horrendous!

The hotel is opposite the beach and well kept. The restaurant service was a let down on this trip. They seemed understaffed.

Hotel is good as always. Just Brewers Fayre restaurant let it down. We ordered food. Waited nearly an hour then I went to see were our starters were. To be told they hadn't started them. As you pay when you order we didnt get a refund we were offered a free drink. Food was ok. Just lack of staff really.

Wow amazing view from the hotel, I have to say this; the Hotel front desk staff was Amazing. We had a medical emergency and they attended, and in a calm, caring and professional manner helped and advised further!

This Premier Inn/ Brewers Fayre was excellent today. The food and staff in Brewers Fayre went to extremes to make sure we were served as soon as possible. The Premier inn staff. One in particular was outstanding. I think his name was Hugo? I apologise if this name is wrong. My mum cut her leg on the bench he was very very helpful with his first aid box. He remained calm and kept an eye on her while we went for the car. We stay at premier inns frequently throughout the country but this gentleman went the extra mile. I thank him very much.

A friend and I stayed for one night with our five kids. Our stay was wonderful from start to finish even though it was brief. The staff are friendly and helpful and made us all feel very welcome. I dropped my debit card in the hotel and it was quickly handed in by a guest and passed back to me by a staff member without me even noticing it had been missing. Our evening meal in the restaurant was average quality but service was lovely despite us only arriving at 9.20pm when they were due to stop serving food. Breakfast was fab. The rooms are spotless and air con very welcome on a hot day. The best Premier Inn I've stayed in and the staff made it all the more enjoyable. We will be back x.

Horrible. No room service. Bed was terribly uncomfortable, the food place downstairs was horrible, lipstick on my glass rim, food was over priced and service was slow. There was no minifridge in the room, so we had to walk down 3 flights of stairs to buy something from the vending machine which was insanely over priced. There were no amenities supplied in the room either, just a generic liquid handsoap and shower gel dispenser. Which didn't do much. No safe in the room for valuables, had to put a sign on the door so they wouldn't "make up our room" because the cleaners just left the door open while cleaning the room's bathroom, anyone could walk in and grab anything. All in all we were glad to leave.

Yesterday I reviewed this as 5star. How one day changes my mind.
We went down for breakfast at 9am, we are two adults and one 6 year old.
We have been here all week and have had all our meals here.
The problem started when we checked in for breakfast. The very arrogant and rude man, told us we should inform the restaurant that we are a three not a two.
Why when we check in is it our responsibility to inform "The breakfast rude man of this?
We will never come back here again.
Please also look forward to a great trip advisor review.
We stayed this week Monday to Friday in room 314.

I have had a really nice stay. Everything was perfect, I totally love their beds, especially the pillows. Great service, thank you very much! I look forward to going there again as soon as possible!

This is the best hotel ever. Lovely views, comfortable beds, a nice cool bathtub to sink yourself in and a tall sack in he corner for children to play with. I recommend you check in to this Southend Hotel. You can even have a nice 5 min walk to the beach. They also have FREE Wi-Fi. Way better than Travelogue. ☺☺☺

Very typical Premier Inn experience. We had a room with a sea view, but unfortunately it had a balcony. That would normally be a good thing, but the windows are sealed shut. So you can't use the balcony, which means the sea is harder to see. Which was a shame. Breakfast plentiful and varied.

It’s got a great location, the majority of the staff are top class. However, there are far too few of them, or they’re being badly deployed. Simply put, the whole bar/restaurant operation revolves around ordering your drinks/food at the bar, no matter if you only want a drink, or are ordering meals and drinks. Yet the bar has only one server, so, if you simply want a beer to enjoy outside, or have gone through the ‘book a table’ routine, you still end up queuing at the bar to place your order. I will say the food I have had has been good, as is the attitude of most of the staff, but c’mon, get it organised, you could make so much more in sales.

Nice and clean friendly staff on reception close to the town and right on the sea front. There is a brewers fayre on site if needed rooms are up to the usually premier inn standard. Will definitely be using here again in the future.

I stay here regularly for business purposes. A great modern Premier Inn with friendly and helpful staff. They go out of their way to help and are always welcoming. The breakfast staff are incredibly warm and engaging. I stay at a broad range of hotels in the course of my work and the staff here have much to teach those at hotels in much higher price brackets. Great value.

Good location, good service, lifts for easy access with luggage to rooms, reasonable amount of parking.

Very clean and comfortable room as you woukd expect from a premier inn. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It is a 20 minute walk from town but I would stay there again. Having the brewers fayre is a bonus.

First time staying at a premier inn but stayed at other hotels in the area and this blows the others away. Very clean room, lots of utility, breakfast next door in the Brewer's Fayre was very good, staff in both were very accommodating for our toddler. Stayed for 4 nights and would use again.

Comfortable and clean. It is very quiet except from the kids above sounding like a herd of elephants at 8am every morning. Accessible room did not come with walk in shower but has a lower bath. Free parking with blue badge. Breakfast is buffet, food ok but eggs get hard and waiting far too much.

We loved our stay at the premier inn as we did last year. We were close to the beach and sealife which is great with 2 toddlers. The room was clean and comfortable and having the sea view was brilliant! We will definitely see you again next year!

Location is very good … room was clean modern with a nice view … only gripe is the parking isn't included in the room rate and there is limited spaces …

Just came back from a 3 night stay, rooms were nice, reception staff were excellent and the cleaners done a good job and friendly.

The receptionist was very friendly. We booked 3 rooms all clean and to great standard as always. We went last year too. Unfortunately weather was not sunny! Unlimited buffet is awesome. Great place to stay.

Lovely hotel. Nice and quite. Not to far from main amusements but far enough to be out of the crowds. Staff friendly and room clean. Food was great.

Excellent location, staff are super friendly and go out of way to help. They told us how to save money on local attractions and recommend places to visit. Amazing sea view room and air conditioning which was a god send in a hot weekend. Will love to return.

The staff were excellent, couldn't have been any more helpful. The rooms were comfortable, made better by having a sea view. Excellent location, just a short stroll from all of the main attractions and directly opposite the beach.

Located near the sea front with parking at the rear of the hotel (for a small charge). Breakfast at Brewer's was fantastic. Staff excellent and helpful. Rooms are okay but a little small.

Stayed for 3 nights for a short break with family, it is a lovely hotel, staff very helpful, food in brewers fayre was also very good too ate there for breakfast and dinner, my only complaint was the long queue and wait for check in the day we arrived as there was only one person on the desk, waited over 20 minutes for keys to room and I had checked in online thinking I could use a self service machine but there was not one.

Stayed here for two nights, all the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms are immaculately clean. Close to adventure island and aquarium. Will be back.

We got locked out of our car on a bank holiday weekend. We tried Premier Inn for a room but it was fully booked. However the two men on the desk were beyond helpful. They spent an hour phoneing around b&b's and hotels until they found us a room. They also gave us drinks and let us charge our phone. Thankyou Kareen Thomas and Mark Scott. You were heros.

We had a very nice sea view in an immaculate room. Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel is only a few minutes walk from Adventure Island which the kids loved. All-you-can-eat breakfast was a great value for money as the kids ate for free.

Arrived at 2pm as stated, was told the room was not ready and told to wait in the bar. 45 minutes later the room was ready, the room was pleasant however the problems did not start till that night. We where a family of 2 Adults 2 children and 14 month old baby, after settling down that night baby in bed that night was a wet rainy 12 degrees outside, however something strange was happening the room temperature started to go up first 24 degrees finally ending up at 27 degrees, the air condition was not working added by no windows that could be opened, I could only describe it as like being in a greenhouse, after several visits to reception and them trying to fix the problem, I just had to enjure a whole night of zero sleep, they where very acomerdating the staff refunding the charge for the room and changing rooms for the following night so very good on that side, it's just very frustrating that a new build building can suffer from this kind of problem. Very sad mini break ruined… staff 10 out 10 building and rooms 5. I just like to add after zero sleep I went down for recovery breakfast and coffee to the restaurant only to be met by a patronising man saying, have you book! we get very busy here you know, clearly lots tables free. Very bad service from restaurant part.

Nice enough room, clean room and bathroom. Main faults were paying for parking and the room being too hot at night (couldn't set air conditioning below 19 and window could not be opened at all. )

Excellent location, beautiful view of the sea. Room was clean and typical high quality of a Premier Inn. Was treated well at reception and the food was good in the restaurant.

Only used the bar for food and drink, but the staff were amazing, helpful to a fault. Food not worth 5 stars, but the staff certainly were — and more!

Well positioned on the seafront. Modern building well maintained. Brewers Fayre downstairs perfect for dinner and breakfast. Parking does cost a few quid per night.

Visit ty busy when I went. Dataset were nice and friendly, food was standard fare but northing was terrible.

A pleasant enough atmosphere although everybody seemed to be crammed into designated spaces and on top of each other when there were clearly lots of empty tables. Pleasant staff.

The rooms are absolutely fantastic — lovely TV on the wall with a place to plug in a USB. The restaurant attached has a great breakfast.

Although very clean and a short walk to the attractions we Hadoop card between the four of us. Hence if one went out of room the others were left in the dark. There was no phone to get in touch with reception so was up and down in lift. No small fridge to leave any chilled produce. The family roomwas a squashed double with a broken slated bed. Ok for small children but not ok for a 12 and 14 year old w.

Excellent place and I had an absolute riot with the staff there! Pleasant, amiable, chatty and very helpful staff. Room was the usual 'Prem Inn' clean and tidy. Food and drink were great. Idiot here managed to leave all his clothes in the wardrobe drawer, so the staff are being kind enough to send it over to me. I've offered payment for postage but they won't have it. The staff also kindly allowed me to use the car park for an extra few hours (free of charge) after my stay so I could conclude some business nearby without having to find another car park. What great bunch of guys and gals. I really look forward to staying there again. :)

This is the second visit to this in once in June and Once in this September. The staff were lovely and very helpful and made us very welcome. We will certainly be coming back here.

Honestly probably the worst burger I have ever eaten. Dry as a bone and a house manager with zero customer service skills. Shame as it's my local… Avoid.

When we left the Inn to return to Australia, my wife left her spectacles in the room. We rang the Inn from London to let them know and the lady at reception was so helpful she arranged to post them to us at no cost to us. Much appreciated. The room and breakfast was great.

Stayed here over the Easter bank holiday and as usual enjoyed it. Only gripe I had was the Free Wi-Fi, could not get the thing connected. Car parking can be tight if like me you have a van, apart from that a great stay.

Southend The hotel is only about 3 weeks old in fact it doesn't even show up on Google maps. Had to wait until after 3pm for the room to be ready due to them being fully booked as I was told. I'm sure as time goes on they'll be up to speed. Location is the other end of Southend but a walk along the front you pass various chippys, pubs and cafes. A longer walk along the front and there are a few cafés opposite the pier. The car park does seem too big for the size of the hotel so get there early. Ate at the brewer's fayre, Atlantic cod and chips and banoffee waffle, standard. Room was exactly the same layout as the new annex @ Margate premier inn. Including input wall plate that takes, HDMI, USB, rca component and phono mini jack. There are rooms with sea views. Quiet night even on a Friday. Good nights sleep. *Premier inns now offer free Wi-Fi for your stay, however after doing a speed test its less than 1 MB. Are they purposely throttling it so people purchase the £5 ultimate Wi-Fi? In this day and age of 4g phones what is the point of offering such a poor service. You can't even watch a Facebook video without buffering. Mind you in my room my signal on my phone went from weak to none.
