I booked a reservation in advance for dinner. Upon arrival I was told that there were no Sunday roasts available at all, and that only a few of the chef's specials were available for order. A shame, but my partner and I were still happy to dine there. We were left waiting whilst watching many members of staff prioritise clearing tables and chatting to each other than providing us service. After 30 minutes without being offered drinks we left. I was surprised after all the positive feedback we have received from friends that our experience was wholly negative.

Very warm and friendly staff, this is a oldie world pub, restaurant, with old true style beam's through out. Food is good and hot on arrival. Would definitely visit again.

There were 3 of us who went there for lunch. The place was not busy. We ordered drinks and food. After several minutes, the waitress came back to tell us that one meal was off the menu. Had to reorder. She then came back to say that meal was also off the menu. She suggested a meal to my friend, which was accepted. We then asked if we could have our drinks! These came. Eventually, 2 of our orders came then after a few more minutes the last one arrived. However, this was not what my other friend ordered. She sent this back so had to wait even longer for her lunch. The waitress did apologise for the mistake. My meal was fine and one of the meals was okay, too. The 3rd meal was only just okay, but edible. When the bill came, my friends were charged full price. They asked for a discount, which was given (25% off).

Very friendly staff and very comfortable beds. The hot food is amazing! But the continental breakfast really was not that great. Overall a great hotel!

Nice gastro pub in Old Harlow, plenty to choose on the menu and the Sunday roast is good too. Nice setting and good old English pub feel inside. Service can be a little slow when waiting for your drinks, but overall a nice place to eat.

Lovely food here and a good selection of drinks, especially good vegetarian selection. The beds are comfortable and reasonably priced.

Set in a lovely location in Old Harlow, The Green Man Hotel is a classic hotel/pub/restaurant. The staff are friendly, and despite the fact I went for Sunday lunch, the service was quick. The deserts were amazing, and an absolute must if you go for food. My one minor gripe is that the vegetables were largely tasteless in the meal I had. The meat was acceptable, however the food overall was not what you'd judge from the price and the location.

Went on Monday night and had a lovely meal. Service good and food was wonderful — will return. Would recommend booking as was busy for a Monday night.

An assault course most staff cannot speak english do not know the correct measure for drinks at bar. Had sunday best beef rib eye the veg was hot meat cold had to send back so was reheated in micro dried the meat and yorkshire pud the calypso coffee was in a too large glass so could not taste the tia maria not a good lunch such a shame withe the right staff could be a gold mine ex publican.

The staff is great! Very polite and willing to service you. Clean, good food, nice bar. We definately suggest it!
