Mersea Island Holiday Park Resort

One of the nicest areas in Essex, awesome fish & chips and a partial sand beach. With no dog walking restrictions during summer, bonus.

Disappointing. Went here as a child and obviously remembered it to be more than it was as when I went back some 10 years on it was a bit sparse, not much in the way of amenities or even decent parking. Quite an unattractive area clearly somewhere people go to retire quietly.

A very good place. For a holiday where you do not even have to leave the island.

Very beautiful on mersea island. Ideal place to visit with family or just for some peace and quiet.

Great place to visit. Snack bar. Toilets. Plenty of parking. Ideal for families or dogwalking. Diverse environment. Fields woods river beach and Nature reserve. New and large kids play area.

Really good place to visit. Not commercial at all. There's a nice beach here too. Parking can be tough if the weather is nice.

Nice walks plenty of sea air, a big play park for the kids to have lots of fun. There is a hide next to a pond for Birders to check out the wildlife.

Lovely place to go camping/caravan.

Not a lot to do on the island itself but still was a nice quiet break away. Make sure you check the tide times for crossing onto & off the island!

Nice little place to visit, great views of sea and estuary, especially in the summer. Need to watch tide times though, as the causeway joining the island to the mainland floods. Don't try and drive through the flood in your car, you'll get stranded and look like an idiot.

Great to visit if you like walking or are in a car the west of the island has a really nice country park but a bus service that runs once a week is awful.

Lovely backwater on the north Essex coast.

Great little place, relaxed and reasonably unspoilt. Beaches, country park, cafés and crabbing!

Beautiful place to visit.

West and East Mersea island are great places to visit. Cafes, bars, beaches, dog friendly, clean public loos, lots of parking. Always check tides as at high tide you can't get on or off the island.

Would recommend the bathrooms, flush could be improved, doesn't work sometimes, but overall great experience, the spacing and smell and colour make up for that.

Mersea Island is a wonder place with excellent sea food and pubs. It has its own vineyard and brews its own Ale’s. With it s Beach Huts and its famous Oysters this quirky Essex island is well worth exploring.

Mersea Island is a small island that is connected to mainland Britain via a rather narrow road that occasionally gets covered by seawater when the tide is in. It is certainly worth a visit because it is relatively unspoilt and not too busy on most days. It has beautiful beaches that are nice to go to both in winter and summer.
