We have just had the most wonderful meal with impeccable friendly staff and amazing food. The dogs and our older contingent were welcomed and provided with water as soon as we arrived 👍🏼 10/10

Great atmosphere, delicious food, friendly staff.

After a very sparse watery prawn and crab starter then Waited over an hour for mains. Then it turned up cold hardly any veg the meat was dry and very little considering I had to pay extra for beef. Potatoes rock hard. The only positive was the ice cream.

Can't believe I haven't been before. Had the roast Turkey with all the trimmings. Absolutely superb. Can't fault it at all. And the staff were lovely and friendly. Definitely will be visiting again soon.

The food was delicious and staff were amazing. Not only were they welcoming but they were very attentive. The entire staff were made aware of my allergies when we came down in the evening for dinner, including fish/seafood (which did worry me, considering the name of the venue) and I was well looked after. The dishes were clearly marked and easily adaptable and even after I made my choices, the staff checked and double checked. I felt at ease which is a rarity. I would definitely recommend and revisit.

Really enjoyed our lunchtime visit yesterday. Service with a smile, even from behind a mask. Food was yummy especially the waffle with chocolate sauce and passion fruit sorbet they did me — my new go-to dessert! Good to be able to go back. Looking forward to returning soon 👍🏻

Ordered a takeaway from the online menu, super easy to do and really easy to select what food you want. Nice easy collection service, food was still lovely and hot when got home too. Quality of the food was excellent as always and I’ve yet to find a better sticky toffee pudding! Thank you!

With the current pandemic our booking for Mother’s Day was cancelled, but the superb staff at the Oyster Smack have rallied together to make us the most amazing takeaway! They were so helpful over the phone when placing our order and also catered for food allergies. All the food was packed in separate containers, which kept it all warm, ready to be eaten. It was all cooked to perfection and could not be faulted. Would 100% recommend the Oyster Smack to anyone!

To clarify, this restaurant does amazing food and the service is good too. But we went on a Saturday night and the noise from the other tables was very off-putting. They have too many tables crammed in, too close together, and nothing to soften the noise of other diners: no background music, no carpets, no curtains. I would eat there again but only on a week night.

Lovely place. Second visit. Recommend. Rooms are great; very clean, spacious and comfortable. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Ate in restaurant one night, great menu choices — thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Really fantastic meal, we had the Sea Bass on sweet Potato cakes and the homemade Honeycomb and vanilla ice cream with hot chocolate sauce was to die for! Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff.

We booked to stay here last minute whilst in the area for a wedding reception and we were pleasantly surprised, great value for money! Wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Comfortable and clean room, friendly and helpful staff.

We found this by chance, we have eaten here two nights in a row and it has been fantastic. The girls serving were so helpful and friendly and the food was second to none. We will visit again next year when Maureen Higgins and I are back down this way.

The staff are very friendly. The restaurant is welcoming. I waited 30 mins for a plate of oysters. The sea bass portion was small and over cooked. I guess I got unlucky as they brought the bill before we had a chance to ask for coffee. And no! The restaurant was not busy. My partner ordered a steak which was nicely done.

Been here several times with friends. Great staff and service I restaurant and excellent food and plenty of it. IF you've got room recommend the honeycomb for desert!

The best place to eat in Burnham; good modern European food and very decent drinks. We’ve been many times and I always enjoy it. Good veggie options too.

We hired the Oyster Smack for our post wedding celebration dinner and were absolutely delighted with way the evening went. Our 52 guests were treated to a fantastic three course meal, all perfectly cooked and served by friendly staff. The management worked with us to come up with a menu that came in on budget but produced a meal that everyone said was absolutely delicious. Thank you all for making our special night so memorable.

A chance find and a diamond one. Arrived unbooked during a wedding reception. We took the only table left in the place. The service was very friendly, swift and polite and the food was not delayed or rushed in anyway because of the reception. The fish sharing platter was really tasty and well presented with warm bread rolls. The Sirloin steak ordered rare was cooked to perfection and the chips were large and tasty. I ordered the turf upgrade and was a little disappointed with them, but a minor point that didn't spoil the overall meal. The venue was clean and the service was attentive. I will be recommending this place to my friends and colleagues.

We always eat here before or after going to the Burnham Rio cinema just down the street… the food is absolutely excellent (not cheap, but well worth it). The menu is varied, with different specials whenever we go… personally I recommend the pork belly! … The ambience is lovely, welcoming and relaxing. The staff are always brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Very highly recommended! … and the Rio is a quaintly old-fashioned place to see a film too!

We had a flying visit but, the pub seemed friendly enough wit a decent crowd.

It's an unlikely looking place, a little way out of the centre of town in a more residential area. But this place is justifiably popular. The staff were genuinely friendly, relaxed, attentive and enjoying their evening as much as we were. We went there on recommendation, which turned out to be spot-on for a change. The menu was unspectacular and unpretentious, but all agreed that their food was delicious and the bill was reasonable. I loved my honeycomb and ice cream desert, guys! I had to beat off my children who were intent on eating it for me. And they were happy for us to bring our dog — but don't take that for granted as there was a little uncertainty. Best to phone and ask in advance.

Booked a table for eight over the bank holiday weekend. Very impressed with this place, it's a little more expensive than the run of the mill type restaurant but only slightly more and the food was top notch. There's normally somebody in a group who isn't completely happy with their meal, but not this time, it was fantastic! Service was also extremely good, especially considering how busy the place was. We'll certainly be returning, highly recommended!

The halibut I had was flesh with plenty of flavour. Passion fruit panna cotta, well formed and light. The team are welcoming to allergy sufferers because as everything is made fresh, allergens can generally be substituted. One of the best restaurants if not the best in Burnham.

Not bad but a bit disappointing. Food was nice but not great. I didn't leave thinking I must go again. Quite expensive for small portions. They also forgot the sauce fir my dish and by the time they brought it out I had alsomst finished. All I got was an oh sorry about that. I expected better to be honest.

I have to say the service was fabulous. I asked the waiter if they had non-dairy milk for my coffee & he said they didn’t but 5 mins later he appeared having run to the shops to buy almond milk especially for me! How lovely. We had the express lunch menu, great food & great value. Definitely recommend & would love to go back. Thank you to the lovely waiter! You made my day… the little things.

We had the best celebration here for our sons 18th! A meal with 45+ family and friends. The staff were brill and so helpful and made the meal run so smoothly. The food? AMAZING! lots of choice and all beautifully prepared and served. Highly recommend and thank you!
