Always been so lovely to stay here over the years, & this time was no exception!
Always a lovely warm welcome from Alan, & we love all the improvements he keeps making to make this excellent guest house even better! It’s such a pleasure to stay here, & the perfect place to base your time in Swanage.
Highly recommended!

We were the first guests to stay in newly renovated bedroom 1. It's a beautifully decorated room with ensuite and bay view. Alan the owner has thoughtfully provided everything you might need for your stay. There's a small fridge, safe, tea making facilities with welcome biscuits and chocolates, toiletries in the bathroom and a table with 2 chairs in the bay window. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast excellent. The B&B is near to the beach, Steam railway and town centre. I would highly recommend Caythorpe House.

Excellent B&B with newly renovated rooms Alan is an excellent host and has spent the last 6 years renovating all the rooms to a very high standard. I would liken this to a very good Boutique B&B. The attention to detail is superb. We were the first guests to stay in the newly renovated sea view room and it's definitely worth the extra money. All rooms are en-suite and beautifully decorated. Our room benefited from a small fridge, tea making facilities, a safe and a small table & 2 chairs in the bay window. There is a choice of breakfast which you pre-order the night before so is customised to your requirements. Caythorpe House is situated a short walk from the beach, Swanage steam railway and the quaint town centre. Would definitely come again.

Excellent b&b. Warm welcome from Alan who is very knowledgeable about Swanage. Perfectly situated for town and beach and railway. Superb breakfast choices and extremely comfortable bed. Looking forward to visiting Alan again in April after his renovations this winter. Already booked.

Brilliant b&b perfect position for Nordic walking festival 3 mins from hub.

Had a wonderful stay. Helpful friendly, always felt at home. My mother has limited mobility so this was an ideal location, close to train, town and the beach. My sister even managed a swim before breakfast. Will be going back next year if they have space. Many other guests stay regularly so we might even meet them again.

Good clean comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was good. The parking was a bit tight, but there is a car park just round the corner.

Great location. Clean room. Great breakfast. Mediocre shower. Friendly staff. If I was picking, it would be nice to have a small fridge but otherwise great place to stay!

What a great find! We stayed at the Caythorpe Saturday evening, as we had a nearby function to go to. On arrival, we were greeted by Sally, who made us both very welcome and offered us a choice of tea or coffee, which she brought up to our room. The room itself was excellent and lovely and light, with clean and comfortable beds, a safe, fridge, TV and good size en-suite plus a window, that actually opened! The decor was nice, and very stylish. We both appreciated the tray of coffee/tea/biscuits and chocolates provided… lovely touch! Also the complementary shampoo/Conditioner/body cream, came in very handy! Breakfast was excellent. We were asked to order the night before, (which we had forgotten to do) by filling in a form, left in the room, which we then should have taken down to reception before 8pm. Lots of lovely breakfast choices! We met Alan, the owner, this morning. He was very friendly and accommodating, as we hadn't ordered our breakfast in advance. No problems though! The breakfast room was light and airy, with some very nice local art work decorating the walls. The breakfast was very good, service quick, and tasted good! I had scrambled eggs and bacon with toast. My friend had a full English, both excellent. Plenty of cereals, yogurts, fruit juices also available to help yourself. Good tea and coffee, and plenty of nice toast! At the end of our stay, we checked out and chatted with Alan, who said he'd been running the business for about 6 yrs.

Had a lovely stay. Close to the beach, parking, newly decorated rooms and plentiful breakfast.
