Beautiful B&B house wise and gardens. Breakfast was excellent.

Recommended tradition and charm.

I am a stickler for places to stay and having heard so much about this B&B that booked a stay for three nights. I have to say there was no dissapointment. Margaret the owner could not have been any better. Hospitality of the first order from the moment we stepped cthrough the door. We stayed in the Oyster room which was decorated in old furniture giving it such character and charm and the bed was high off the ground also a bonus for us. Breakfast was of the first order cooked fresh and was hot when served unlike many other establishments I have stayed at. Dining table was set for all guests but actually we were the only ones in attendance at 8am so had a choice of fruit, cereals, marmiye, jams etc too many to mention plus tea or coffee. Margaret advises on many restaurants we could visit on our stay and we took her knowledge and advice and visited a number. I can only say if you are in the Portland Area give this B&B a try you will not be dissapointed.

This is by far the nicest B+B I've ever stayed in. I highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

Working in the prison on Portland and living in Lymington I often stay over to reduce the driving. I have just discovered this delightful B&B. Walking into it last night felt like walking into a Charles Dickens novel, so beautifully festive. The rooms are perfect, beds comfortable and breakfast incredible and always a friendly welcome.

Stayed here last weekend in the white room, it's small and cosy, but beautifully decorated. We loved it! Fab breakfast, the dining table was laid for a feast, everything about our stay was fantastic, our host for the weekend was most helpful and attentive, will def be back.

We spent our wedding night here — the room was magic! Margaret is the best hostess. The gardens are immaculate and peaceful, and a perfect spot for relaxing. Delicious breakfast. An incredible experience.

Perfection! I have stayed here twice now and I cannot wait to return. The owner is ever so welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast (the food, the room and the ambience) is sublime. I fully recommend staying here, it is the nicest place I have had the pleasure of staying in.
