Lovely room and well appointed.

Went here yesterday with my partner, beautiful hotel, lovely staff and friendly staff too, gorgeous food we had a three course meal the food sizes was brilliant and would definitely recommend going here if you want a weekend away or a whole week way. 💜😊

We stayed at the Imperial on Saturday, we had a lovely time, room was great, and really clean, and in a great spot, The chap who checked us in was super helpful, and polite (even though he’d just come off a phone call to a difficult very customer), he didn’t let that cross over when checking us in. A true professional!
Cannot wait to come back again!

Wonderful hotel in a excellent location.
We always choose a large room with a balcony, the view is amazing.
The beds are large and comfortable.
The public areas are great, looking over the extensive grounds to the sea,
There are plenty of comfortable seats and a well stocked bar,
The dining room is very impressive, the service very attentive.
The food is excellent value for money.
The staff are fantastic always eager to serve and very friendly.

We held our wedding at the Imperial on the 25th August — Fantastic Venue and amazingly helpful staff, especially Jane and Konrad. Beautiful views, perfect for photos and lots of great spaces for our guests. Incredibly accommodating and willing to adapt to our individual ideas. Would recommend to anyone.

Brilliantly positioned between beach and town. Food was very good. Bedroom clean and well designed with a walk in shower. Unlike many hotel rooms the lighting was bright, however a socket near the bed side table would have been useful. Recommended, would stay again.

Didn’t stay there but went there for afternoon tea which is very disappointing. The scones are from the shop and so is brownies macaroons and the toffee shortbread. Strongly would not recommend this place for afternoon tea. A long wait and dissatisfied with the food.

Not stayed here but visited it last week, and can compare it to another Exmouth hotel which might be useful. I've stayed in the same hotel in Exmouth each year for about 8 years. Always the Royal Beacon because my business hosts book it. This year I was there again but had to go to the Imperial. Plus point — The inperial has a nice big car park. Plus point — it's smart clean and modern inside. Plus point — the decking and outdoor area are superb, with views staying into the promenade. Negative point — the bar is not there for an evening of drinking and socialising, it closes early and kicks people out. Neutral point — it's a seaside trippers hotel that caters for the retired traveler. I saw lots of charming couples walking slowly arm in arm. So perfect for retired couples. I would certainly be happy with a room here, but the Beacon is probably a bit more easy going if you want a casual trip and a drink in the evening. Up to you.

Quite and clean, pleasent staff… suit over 50' looking for some pease and quite.

This is in a great spot and the restaurant is beautiful with a great menu. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would most certainly stay here again and hope for better weather so I could stroll along the beach.

Very well presented Hotel with really nice staff. The room was well furnished and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel.

Perfect setting to stop for a drink on a sunny afternoon, there's plenty of free tables outside as it never seems to get very busy here. I suspect that is because it's not cheap, two drinks will set you back about £12 but I believe it is justified as it ensures you will always be able to enjoy a quiet drink right on the beach front even on the sunniest of bank holidays.

Very nice hotel the room was clean and the staff were very helpful. We needed a fridge for things we had with us and they were very happy to put in our room. Breakfast was great awell. Would very much recommend it.

Lovely old building in a great location. Food was good for the style of hotel. A bit quiet in the evening but you can go to the sister hotel The Bay for a bit of entertainment.

Heating insufficient for their needs in blizzard conditions suffered that week. Otherwise service was good and staff friendly & helpful.

We attended as a result of a family personal situation… travelled from Liverpool on a Friday at very short notice and the staff (and I mean all from top to bottom) were exceptional and so helpful they are a credit to their employers.
The hotel was also excellent, rooms very clean and food could not be faulted. Hopefully next time we attend it will be for a holiday…

Always pleasant staff and well kept aesthetic seating areas to eat. However, they wouldn't let me order the Eaton Mess off the menu as well of a variety of other options as they seems to change menus very often.

Beautiful hotel with very well kept grounds. Quite literally a stone throw away from the beach. Makes for an amazing stay in Exmouth.

The hotel is basic and nice. Beautiful location. Megan is an outstanding waitress at the restaurant and she will be very careful to your needs. She will go out of her way to make sure you have everything you need.

We had 2 short holidays recently at the Imperial hotels both were 5 star in every respect. The room we had was perfect as it has a walk in shower which meant my wife who is an invalid could shower without any difficulty. All the staff were excellent. We will come again in the future.

This hotel has seen better days and is reminiscent of the holiday era during the steam days. Great for the retired on a coach trip. The staff are friendly, if not slightly autonomous, and the coffee is good.

First night power cut during meal second night over two hours to get meal complaind no apology car parking at eight pounds a day even though there is Forty plus spaces available I think is over the top.

Just enjoyed a three night break at The Imperial Hotel Exmouth. Lovely room & enjoyable food in restaurant. Staff very friendly & obliging nothing too much trouble. Will certainly go again.

EDIT: stained curtains, stained pillow covers, stained duvet covers and horrendous noise from the plumbing at 0830 on a Sunday… DO NOT go to this hotel. Its not a bad hotel, however the prices that they charge are way too much for the rooms and service you get. The rooms need more of an overhaul than a touch of paint would give and they need to use better quality ingredients for their food. The breakfast items were edible but nothing great. Sausages were more rusk than meat, eggs were rubbery and the tomoatoes were barely warm. I would not recommend someone going here and paying their full room rate.
