Our Valentine's 'takeaway' was fabulous. Exquisite food collected from the restaurant and cooked according to the very thorough instructions was divine. The addition of the rose petals & heart-shaped tealights were the icing on the cake! A beautiful evening, thank you La Fosse at Cranborne — la-fosse. Com.

Just had a lovely festive three course meal at this local eatery. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We will be back with friends once we are through pandemic restrictions etc.

Such a beautiful meal for our 10th wedding anniversary. We would have been at the restaurant in person had it not been for lockdown.

We were very impressed with our takeaway last week. Both the beef stroganoff and lemon tart were delicious and the portions good. The highlight of our lockdown week. Already looking forward to collecting this Fridays Tagine from Mark.

Just eaten the Takeaway fish pie, it was delicious, plenty of very tasty fish and the sauce was fantastic. Totally recommend this service, we shall look forward to sampling more la-fosse gourmet takeaways.

I was very lucky to win a meal at la fosse and went yesterday with my husband — we were so impressed! The food was delicious, such high quality ingredients cooked to perfection! My highlights were hot & cold coppa with melon to start and the chocolate banofee sundae — both were surprising and so delicious. We will definitely be going again! Thank you mark!

This restaurant has a wonderful ambience and makes an ideal venue for an intimate dinner or a special occasion. The food is so exquisite. The flavours you experience are out of this world and the memory of eating there will stay with you for a long time. Every other restaurant will seem like second best after eating here.

Food was really good, we had meal for a party and service and food was rooms were very nice and cosy, all had a different name ours was Dorset Blue, really cosy, staff were amazing, breakfast was lovely and a good choice.

This restaurant has a very intimate environment. It serves fantastic food from a range of fresh and local ingredients. It boasts a welcoming environment with incredible food. We have been on at least half a dozen occasions and have never been disappointed!

Second stay, just as friendly, clean, and with that certain ambience that is always a lovely suprise.

A fabulous meal with friends the other night. All very Christmassy. Staff as always very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have a great night. The best 3 course vegan meal by far! And our friends loved their non vegan meal! So win win! Thank you chef Mark!

Wow, what a hidden gem to find in the middle of Dorset. A beautiful village called Cranborne with lovely walks to be had. Local pubs & church. But most of all, La Fosse, a wonderful restaurant with accommodation. It has the wow factor!

Delicious food, out of this world, and the cheese board is wow, amazing, this is a must!
Accommodation, is great. So cosy and comfortable, slept very well and felt right at home. We will be returning with the family as a get together. Thank you for a fab time, will return later in the year or early next. X.

An absolutely fabulous place. Quirky, comfortable bedrooms. Friendly cheerful staff. Passionate, amazing, talented chef/owner. And food of the gods! We had the tasting menu with each course being cooked to perfection and exactly the right balance of ingredients, textures and colours.

Myself & my fiancé recently visited & stayed at La Fosse. WOW what an experience, this is one of the best places to go to in our area. We enjoyed ourselves so much we can't wait to go back. The room we stayed in was very clean & comfortable, We experience the 6 course taster menu which was cooked to perfection by Mark Hartstone. Also another highlight was the service we received from the waitress Natalie, we would highly recommend this fantastic place to anyone & you must try the famous Cheese board at La Fosse.

Great place, the rooms are nice; the owners and staff are friendy and helpful and the fod is amazing. The star of the show though is definitely the cheeseboard.

I've stayed here twice now and had an amazing time. The food is some of the best i've ever eaten and always prepared and presented with attention to detail. The rooms are very well decorated and have a modern, homely feel, with lots of handy extras like tea, coffee and biscuits, iron and ironing board etc. The staff are friendly and always happy to help. And you can't leave without trying the cheeseboard! Can't wait for our next trip :).

I had the pleasure last summer to celebrate my birthday at La Fosse. We were 15 persons and I book the hotel for 2 nights. We were all delighted, the rooms (all bathrooms new) were decorated with skillfull taste as for the food and the service (family service) we were enchanted. I can only recommand la Fosse very highly.

We did not stay, we had to return home due to family matters, we were very disapointed with the hotel, it looked very tried, bath was old, towels were thin, dining room, I really would not have been happy to eat in there, I can not see how this is rated a four star.
