Beautifully decorated, spacious rooms — we stayed in the Pink Room. Lynnee and Paul were amazing hosts, friendly, and able to provide useful information about the surrounding area. Breakfasts were incredible! A huge choice of different foods. Would definitely recommend this luxurious B&B. I hope to be able to return in the not too distant future.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to both Paul and Lynnie for making us feel so welcome and very helpful during our stay in Devon. We stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend Higher Gitcombe as a perfect place to stay. The rooms are beautiful, super clean and homely which we loved. Breakfast is first class with a variety of choice and cooked so well. I am usually a person that don't write reviews, but I really wanted to send my gratitude to both Paul and Lynnie for making our short break in Devon so great. Travelling with 3 children aged 4, 3 and a 3 month old, I appreciate we would not be the easiest guests with so many requests, but Paul and Lynnie were always happy to help and genuely made us feel welcome. Wish we could have stayed longer and would love to return back again one day. Highly recommend to anyone. George, Tania and kids. Thank you!

This b and b had a cosy atmosphere and was clean. The owners were warm and friendly and happy to answer and questions we had. Food was delicious and wide ranging menu, easily catering for vegetarians. Would definitely come back.

Excellent in every possible way however be aware the road ro the Guest house is extremely narrow in places and passing other traffic can be a real challenge!

Couldn't wish for more, from the warm welcome, the lovely rooms, the fabulous breakfasts and the great hosts. A must for a Devonshire bucket list.

Wow… what can we say, from the minute we arrived to the moment we left it was nothing but joy. We had such a lovely stay with Paul and Lynnie. Our room 'the Blue room' was perfect in every way, all the little extra touches you wouldn't necesarily expect. Everything you would need at home is within the room, they really have thought of everything. Then they give you the breakfast menu… so, much choice to try — 2 mornings wasn't enough! The main event breakfast is SUPER YUMMY! But be prepared to not eat for the rest of the day with the size of it. Lynnie and Paul you are absolute superstars! Your home is stunning and we feel very lucky to have spent a couple of days with you. Looking forward to the next time already. Natalie and Colin xxx.

A surprise night away for my birthday from my partner what a lovely one it was. Lynnie and Paul were perfect hosts. This bnb is set in lovely quiet grounds all but the odd owl, much nicer than the traffic noise that is outside my home. The breakfast amazing, nothing was too much trouble.

Beyond any B n B you will ever imagine, Paul and Lynne provide an excellent service to rival some top hotels, the personal touch which leaves you feeling very spoilt and relaxed.

Amazing place where we felt like we were at home from the moment we arrived! Linny and Paul did everything they could to make our stay a special one. We were celebrating our parents joint 70th birthday and were 6 adults and a 4 year old. The rooms were immaculately presented with all the comforts you could hope for. We stayed in the family room where two rooms were connected with a little hall. The other two rooms were also beautiful; the master having a dual aspect over open fields. Linny and Paul provided afternoon tea for our arrival, they cooked a beautiful breakfast in the morning with an extensive menu which included delicious homemade delights, and they went above and beyond decorating the dining room and making a birthday cake for the occasion as well. If you are looking for something extra special look no further! You will not be disappointed!

The best quality ever. I have stayed in many hotels in GB and Europe throughout the years and nothing beats the quality and hospitality of Higher Gitcombe B&B. From the moment we were welcomed in the door to the time we left there was nothing but relaxation with quality surroundings. The finest B&B I have ever been asked to provide my carpet cleaning service, A truly wonderful house, carpets were spotless when I arrived, and hopefully even more spotless when I left. Paul & Lynnie are such a delightful couple and treated me like royalty, even though I was there to do a job. Like others on trip advisor who have had a wonderful time here, I would love to treat the missus and stay in this fabulous place. Thank you both it was a pleasure to provide our service for you.

We were looking for a truly family friendly bed and breakfast when we came across Higher Gitcombe. The accomdation is clean, tidy and ideal when you have small children. The room allowed our daughter to have her own room, while only been across the way from us, so she could see us at all times. Paul and Lynn were very accomdating and friendly and nothing was to much trouble, they made both us and our daughter most welcome. Lynn cooks a fantastic hearty breakfast to set you up for the day, and if that's to much there is always a good range of cereals.

It's the perfect base to explore the South Hams. Paul and Lynnie are the most welcoming of hosts, they go out of their way to look after their guests and their knowledge of the surrounding areas is impressive. They have created the most idyllic place to make you feel at home. The house and gardens are immaculately maintained, the rooms are all spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Cream Suite and it was exactly as described on the website. We did indeed have superb views and on a clear day, we saw Haytor on Dartmoor! Paul and Lynie have a huge selection of healthy breakfast choices; fresh organic produce catering for all dietary requirements. Lynnie's 'Jolly Sundae' (her own concoction of fresh fruits, grains, nuts and yoghurt) is the perfect start to the day! If you want wonderful rural views, a friendly welcome and a relaxing place to stay, you should come to Higher Gitcombe. “Perfection! ” The owners really go above and beyond at this B&B. Everything about my experience at Higher Gitcombe was perfect! The grounds are beautiful and the simply house takes your breath away.
