Not good. Food was lovely accommodation awful. Has now closed down I believe.

Room availability without double bed and difficulty using Wi-Fi.

Although the Palace Hotel needs a refurb, it is an absolutely lovely hotel with friendly staff, fabulous food, spectacular gardens and grounds (with a resident deer called Bambi), great service from restaurant staff, and family rooms such as twin separate adjoining rooms with internal adjoining door so kids can go to bed early whilst parents have their own separate room. Also, it has internal and external swimming pools, separate saunas for ladies and men, a golf course, table tennis, business conference facilities, bars which sometimes have live music, and is a short open-top-sometimes bus ride to the centre. We visit every year, and the kids love it. Double beds can be on the small side, so ask if this matters to you.

Perfect if you don't mind a scruffy 1970's room. It's in need of some deco as its very tired looking. My bed was very hard and I had to sleep the other way round add the head board had a round greasy mark on it! Staff were excellent and foods was very impressive though.

Just booked for another great winter 3 day break. We have been coming to the Palace for many years and have NEVER been disappointed. Rooms are comfortable with a little wear here and there — just like home! Food, staff, reception areas, swimming pool, free parking, everything really brilliant. My husband walks with a stick so the reception staff have put us next to the lift — always thoughtful. Roll on december!

Sharm taxi. We were first put in a room in which the blanket from the bed was torn and dirty. The room smelled like old grease of a ventilation system that is placed directly in front of the window. On my complaint and we immediately got a new room. In this room, which has a very nice view, sanitary facilities were heavily polluted. The toilet seat was not properly cleaned. The bathtub was filthy and covered with a Brown patina, that we have been showering us. The breakfast was also not optimal. The teapot had such a patina from the outside, that we then left off the tee. I would book this hotel again.

We recently had a long weekend at The Palace. We have stayed there a few times over the last few years, although the last time was about three years ago. Yes the room was tired and care worn, but it was clean, the towels were bright white and fluffy and the bed linen was also very clean. The staff, even the maintenance man who walked by, were polite and friendly. The dining room is magnificent, high ceilings, quite dramatic. Silver service, beautiful table settings and wonderful staff. We took advantage of the March offer, three nights, dinner, bed and breakfast for £139 per person (not per night)! The choice of food is fabulous — four courses with coffee for dinner. If you are looking for a chic impersonal modern hotel, this is not the place for you. However if you want great value for money, charming genteel surroundings and a total chill — get down there quickly.

What a load of rubbish… if you presented a four star hotel here to that in London you'd be closed down instantly!. Staff hopelessly useless unreliable… frequent the Cary arms or livermead cliff… the palace looks and smells like an old nursing home… awful strange but definitely emphatically true… unfortunately!
