Went for afternoon tea as a birthday celebration. Truly wonderful. Very good food and plenty of it. Will definitely be back.

Great place! We had afternoon tea which was delicious. Staff very very helpful and friendly. Shame the weather wasn't that great otherwise we could have sat outside. Highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed and they have rooms if you want to stay for a night or more. The bar is also very nice with a good choice of drinks.

Charming hotel situated in a quiet location 5 miles outside Torquay. Recently updated this 4* hotel is at the premium end of hotels. A secluded retreats with sea views and private location.

Great location. Had a lovely early Christmas celebration with a large group. Food + service was very good.

Absolutely brilliant staff. So helpful and polite. The food was beautiful and the room was very comfortable. Such a fantastic place to be able to relax.

Good meal but 3 different menus the staff didn't really know what was available and not. Watch your bill for over charging due to this. But very attentative Michelin restaurant.

Well what an experience, me and my partner decided to have an anniversary break away, we have been together 6 years so felt it was needed, we booked Orestone Manor back in 2017 and it really does live up to all expectations, beautiful setting, amazing views and the new coach house suites are lovely yet still characteristic, my partner had chosen Orestone Manor as the place to ask me to marry him so this hotel will always hold a special place in my heart, we also were looked after by a lovely lady I believe to be called Jo, all the staff where fantastic and very welcoming, If I could rate more then 5* I would.

Not my first visit. Took a friend to celebrate a special birthday, as always a great afternoon. They even had her favourite drink which is apparently not often available in other places. Won't mention the name but if you are as old as we are I could say 'Luton airport' and this should give the game away. Looking forward to my next visit.

Generally a good meal but 2 errors in or order! (There were only5 of us! ) Steak order was mixed up causing one having been over cooked & another sent back.

Amazing food. Excellent service. Stunning location.

Stayed overnight in the coach house with hot tub. Everything was superb, from the champagne on arrival, three course meal and great nights sleep, to the lovely breakfast in the morning. All in amazing surroundings. Will be back again soon.

We had a lovely lunch here. Even though I was a set menu, all the courses were excellent and the service was great.

Fine dining done in a relaxed, friendly, professional manner. The setting is beautiful BUT the food, which was a good as any Michelin restaurant I have eaten at, was not only wonderfully cooked and presented but was of a generous size. Normally that quality of food comes to you in tiny portions — at the Orestone the portions are perfect and wonderfully presented. The staff are lovely, friendly and very family orientated. We stayed in the large suite with our 3 children to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. Everything was perfect and made for a wonderful celebration. Many thanks.

We have just got back from a nights stay at Orestone Manor and it was just perfect. We had a very friendly welcome from reception, along with welcome drinks. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless, they have thought about all of the little extras with lovely toiletries, biscuits and magazines. We had a three course evening meal, which was of a very high quality, the best meal we've had for a long time. Service from all staff was brilliant, we felt very valued. The hotel is in a beautiful setting and is traditionally decorated but timeless, not at all tired. We will definitely stay here again.

Me and my wife went here for afternoon tea that our son and his partner brought for us the food was delicious and very high standard and the staff were very friendly and helpful would recommend this place to all my family and friends.

We were given a gift voucher for cream tea for 2. The interior of the hotel was very nicely furnished / decorated but as it was a nice day we sat outside on the terrace with a lovely view of the garden and sea in the distance. Cream tea was good. A nice outing, would come back to try the restaurant.

We only went for cream tea as we had been given a voucher. The cream tea itself was good. The hotel is in a lovely location with views over the sea. The building is beautiful inside and looks much nicer in real life than on the website! Staff seemed friendly and helpful.

Weekend get away as Christmas gift for my husband — Friendly staff and excellent service, Amazing food and beautiful room! On the whole it was brilliant and will definitely return.

The food was beautiful. I've never had Venison that melted and tasted as nice as it did, and the fishcake was to die for. Fine dining in an informal atmosphere.

Have stopped at this hotel 3 times in the last 6 months and every time it gets better! Staff always make you welcome and can't do enough for you. Would highly recommend.

What a lovely hotel to stay in! Had a fantastic time last year when we stayed in the Torquay area. Rooms are superb and the food is amazing.

We had a lovely room with balcony. The food was interesting and well presented but I regret that I prepaid £35 each for a 3 course Dinner at the same time as paying by card for the room: as this was over-charging, The menu charges were much less for a 3 course meal if I had paid on the night. On the second night we had dinner for about £18 each. We could not really manage 3 courses. The family who own the hotel are lovely people and I did not like to make a fuss. The only thing that jarred was the choice of loud jazz music which really did not suit the ambience of the hotel. It is nice to be able to talk with gentle background music. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and will hope to return.

Simply divine! Beautifully decorated room, sleeping in the wonderful bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The food and drink was perfect and I felt very welcome and well catered for. The location for me was perfect and the building had real character which in previous visits to Torquay hotels I had found disappointing. This hotel easily rivals 4/5 star hotels. I hope to return with friends in the not too distant future! Many thanks to the incredible team from Orestone Manor Hotel.
