Had a lovely high tea with champagne for our mum. Staff were courteous and nothing too much trouble. Lovely relaxed setting with a fab tea.

My daughter and her fiancé were married here yesterday and it was a fantastic day. Lovely rooms, beautiful grounds and gorgeous food. The staff worked tirelessly from start to finish making sure everyone had a day to remember. A totally wonderful experience and beautiful memories to look back on 💕

Omg, what a stunning place to stay! We stayed in one of the suites at the hotel this weekend and it was just divine! We can not wait to come back and stay again… absolutely everything we could have wished for. Beautifully decorated and equipped, immaculate, staff incredibly helpful and friendly and lovely food… in such a gorgeous setting. Highly recommended 👌👌

We had a wedding there followong covid restrictions yet it felt like we had a 100 people there. Brilliant day and fantastic staff.

Beautiful hotel, only came for afternoon tea, so I definitely would like to return. Beautifully decorated and a lovely cosy feeling. We sat in the delightful gardens and I didn't want to leave. It had a very welcoming feel.

Had a lovely dinner here tonight. My husband had the rib eye steak sliced like butter and melted in your mouth. My son and I had the beef burger absolutely gorgeous. Our daughter had the duck fabulous. All the puddings were delicious we will definitely be back. The staff were helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Thankyou.

Absolute exquisite Hotel. The restaurant is by far phenomenal and deserves Michelin star if it doesn’t already have one. The rooms are modern and stylish and fitting with the design throughout. Five stars from me… ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recently went to the hartnoll for a wedding, and I was less than impressed. The wedding food was mediocre and the bar prices were insane. I also couldn’t understand why the hotel doesn’t close off the outside dining area when a wedding is on. The ceremony room faces onto the outside grass area which has several tables and chairs for hotel guests to sit and dine. It would make sense (to me at least) to restrict this area when a wedding is on, so the ceremony room doesn’t face out onto hotel guests walking past.

Lovely setting with good food and beer. A sort of half way house between good pub grub and fine dining. Like it a lot.

I took my in laws for dinner, and had an exceptional meal in the conservatory. Tiverton struggles to provide quality normally, but that’s not the case here!

Sunday lunch very good value and best roast beef that I've had for a long time in a restaurant. Good attentive staff too. No wonder they were busy!

Rooms are small and expensive for the facilities offered. Our room had scaffolding outside and the builders started at 7.00 a. M. Which spoilt our stay. Menus are good but would not go back.

Small Hotel, with nice Rooms. Everything is clean, the Personal is very helpful and polite. The Hotel has a Restaurant where you can eat very good. I was there for a Businesstrip. I can recommand this Hotel.

Went for a Mother's Day meal. Very busy but staff excellent. Food excellent. Priced on the high end of fair but worth it.

We just had an amazing meal here. The service was impeccable as always, the food is gorgeous and the atmosphere is warm and relaxed.

Went for afternoon tea. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were all excellent. Slightly let down by arriving quite some time after the tea. Poor weather prevented us from seeing much of the grounds.

Lovely building with handy parking. Really comfortable lounge and function room for wedding. Very friendly staff.

My partner and I visited the Hartnoll hotel as a surprise treat for an achievement at work. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff were just attentive enough but not overly so, making us feel welcome. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cosy and warm, with a real country side feel to it. The food was by far the highlight of our visit, and far exceeded our already high expectations. We particularly loved the incorporation of sweet flavours into almost all savoury dishes, with sweet wafer with the scallop starter, lemon curd with the salmon starter, grilled apple with the duck, and, my personal favourite, cranberries, dark chocolate, and port with the venison. If you are looking for an excellent meal that will leave you relishing in the flavours, the Hartnoll is the place for you.

We have dined here twice now. The food is excellent, and the staff are helpful… in particular the restaurant manager, who did his best in accomodating us when we visited without making a booking. Highly recommended.

I really like this place. Very friendly staff and great food. We spent a couple of New Year's Eve there and it was great.

Stayed in a spacious and comfortable room. Excellent bathroom with large shower. Delicious breakfast and diner. Service and staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommend this place for a stay.

Spent the night combined with a wake. Excellent team taking great care English breakfast was proper, real pork sausage nice black pudding (double portion thank you) Good bed with good linen. Slept well.

Excellent lunch, reasonably priced. We ate in the conservatory which was fab in the sunshine. The adjoining patio is also perfect for a summer lunch or drink.

Have been here today for lunch with my lovely family/ friends and we had a fantastic meal. Would definitely go back. Highly reconend it!

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Tiverton. The rooms are all well equipped and are all different layouts, and while most are very good there have been a couple of rooms with limited space around the bed when I have stayed there. The food is good quality and the staff friendly. I would have liked soft closers on the doors of the rooms though as some guests do tend to slam the doors at all hours of the night!

The Hartnoll Hotel is a beautiful building and surroundings. The staff where friendly and very helpful. We stayed at the hotel for a family wedding which was amazingly organised and both the bride and groom enjoyed the day as the staff had everything sorted. The food was amazing and the rooms and bathroom where finished to the highest standards. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. 5 star.

A very posh and stylish hotel with a large space and beautiful surroundings.

The Hartnoll hotel provides a lovely break within a convenient range of Bristol, Swindon and Gloucester. It was easy to get to find. Plenty of parking. We stayed in a mini suite which was a reasonable size with a huge bed. The room was clean and crisp. The food in the hotel is excellent. We've had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant and all were of top quality. The staff can't do enough for you. They are attentive without being overbearing and very courteous and polite. We visited the Knightshays National trust property which is close by and worth a visit. This hotel is also really convenient if you want to visit Exmoor National Park. All round a great hotel, with great service, great food in a great location.

Late back from a road trip and was going to Exeter Inn. However, the road was closed so we stopped at the Hartnoll Hotel. Barman very pleasant but … £25 for what can be called an average piece of Steak and chips was extausion to be fair. The waitress went to every table asking if everything was ok and looking after everyone, except us. We were madde to feel like outcasts. Sadly wont be visiting here again.

I have never visited the hotel and it appears to me as if some mischief is afoot. I am looking forward to our stay at the Hartnoll in July.

We have had 3 Christmas Meals here and it was quiet "school dinner" at times. Staff were not bad, but not good either. If you order off the menu which we have also done the food is pretty good, mussels, steaks, curries all above average. But for groups you can expect a sub-optimal dining experience. Nice Toilets. Lovely Decor. More effort needed on food for group bookings.

Awesome Sunday Lunch and superb service. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys the finer things in life. Will certainly return, keep up the fantastic work.

I wouldn't say that £100 per night is good value sadly. As a guest here for only two nights I have to admit I'm less than impressed. Having just had lunch, liver and bacon which I sent back (uncooked liver) and refusing anything in its place, I seem to have become a pariah as iv not been asked if I'd like anything else like tea coffee or another drink in the last 1/2 hour! hmmm.

Went to a wedding there last June 2013, lovely food, the staff were very good, would go there again.

Had 2 great weekends and good value for money.

I've stayed here on several occasions on business and have to say what a lovely hotel it is. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are all nice individually themed and the food is fantastic. I look forward to my next visit.

This place is average, I was not outraged by anything, but although it is very polished in it appearance, it does not make an effort with the food. We had a Christmas meal here and it was quiet school dinnery at times. Staff were not bad, but not good either. 1 or 2 miles up the road is the Exeter Inn. Meals are cheap and of the same quality, less pretentious and far better value. Nice Toilets. Lovely Decor.

Terrible place. Been to fre weddings here all of them very unhappy about service and how rude and nasty they get. It will fail soon so I wouldnt advice handing over any big deposits! We even had to go mcdonalds to for the kids to eat.
