Had a night here. Lovely staff Enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely afternoon tea in very pleasant surroundings. The lady who served us went above and beyond to ensure we had (more than) enough. A very historical building with some lovely original features.

3 friends and myself visited for afternoon tea and were very impressed by the quality of the food and service. The staff couldn't do enough for us and made us very welcome.

Hubby and I had a fabulous afternoon tea served by our lovely hosts who thoroughly made us feel welcome. The food was great and sitting here in the sunshine what more could you wish for. Thank you.

We got married here in 2012 and it was the best day ever.
We had the manor to ourselves and decorated it top to bottom in our own quirky style.

We had a groupon for afternoon tea. There is a building site in front of the entrance. Although quiet once inside. Slightly dated decor and a bit tired. Staff are very attentive and nothing too much trouble. The food was fine, although unlikely to have been baked on site. Reasonable and acceptable with the Groupon.

Have just had a wonderful afternoon tea at Welbeck Manor. Cannot fault the staff or service. Food was plentiful and very tasty. Thankyou for a very pleasant afternoon.

Bit disappointing. Derelict building falling down in the entrance, not the greatest first impression. The hotel is full of history, but even though it looks clean, it doesn't feel it with carpets and curtains very old, faded and worn. No proper shower in the bathroom and open shelves in the bedroom. But the rooms are a good size and the staff very friendly.

Great customer service would recommend highly (golf)

Had a lovely cream tea with our mums today at Wellbeck! Superb setting, lovely staff and a great improvement on the food and drinks selection:) Been here several times before as live local, and hoping to make it a more regular place to visit for a drink on the terrace!

Quiet, nice setting. Helpful staff great fresh cooked breakfast. Little old fashioned but suites the place, parking good.

We had an amazing stay here could not of felt more welcome. John and his team were brilliant and nothing was a problem. The hotel was clean tidy and made to feel like we were at home with good quality food the service was outstanding. Highly recommend and will definately be staying again.

Stayed for an overnight stay and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we did not have a refurbished room so found the room very dated and in need of a complete overhaul. We ate in the restaurant and the food was brilliant.

Very reasonable, breakfast was very nice. Staff ver pleasant but the building is in need of some repair. It is a very old country house but needs some love.

This place is lovely, It seems like it's under new management as the staff were brilliant, kind and very professional. Great food, breakfast and evening meals were really good, a decent menu! My room had recently been refurbished and the grounds are lovely! I will be coming back, really good value for money. Will be trying out the golf course next time! Thanks.

Clean, friendly, very good breakfast included value for money, fantastic views, central for plymstock, Plymouth, Dartmoor and the zoo This is our 4th visit and will certainly come again,

Stayed at Welbeck Manor for 2.5 weeks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the great breakfasts and dinners.

Staff were incredibly attentive and friendly (full of personality! ) golf course on the grounds and brilliant breakfast. Lovely area, big thumbs up!

Well what can I say.
From the moment we arrived from a wedding we were greated by a very friendly chap. He joined us in the bar after we dropped bags in rooms.
I laughed alot within the few hours we spent there. Nothing was to much trouble for him and wow what a sence of humour.
Slept good. Lovely bed and the bedding was so fresh it was amazing.
breakfast was lovely. And the chap who was on breakfast duty was also amazing. Nothing was to much for him.
All in all a great stay in an amazing building. I loved it…

Very friendly service and very pleasant place. Free sky TV and Wi-Fi, great views, decent breakfast and lovely period features. We have a 6 month old and the room easily accommodated the travel cot and us and the high chair was ready for us when we came down for breakfast. Low cost option so don't expect a full staffing team and everything to be at AA 5 star standards but if your a reasonable person you will be happy with what you get here. :)

The bedroom I was in was dirty, after lifting the sheets offa the bed is was astonished to find a dirty old mattress. I lifted the mattress to find years of body hair and skin. Stay at you own risk I would rather sleep rough.

Went for a wedding reception. The barbecue buffet could've gone better as a number of items kept running out before the end of each queue, meaning people were standing about until things were replenished. Other than that, very good.

Unbelievably awful, dirty rooms shabby service, illegal health and safety and the same guy running the bar waiting in the restaurant and cooking he food. He stunk of cigarettes and booze and was incredibly rude to a foreign couple. Do not stay here.

Great golf course kept up to a fantastic standard and a decent 19th home too. Very friendly welcome and you are very well cared for throughout.

Golf. Cheap good for a quick game. Greens a bit fluffy but worth a trip.

The golf course is a great place to play you can use all of your clubs and it is a lovely place to get your game in shape. Beaware the greens are a little hard at time.

Just got back from a fabulous weekend with 17 of us to celebrate my hen do. Wow! The hospitality was fabulous! The food was great, breakfast perfect, a couple of the mattresses could do with replacing but I was lucky enough to have a great bed in the bridal suite! Thank you so much for the extras you did and letting us take over your hotel for the weekend.

Excellent grounds and private drive. Golf course right outside the window. Hotel is value for money and food and drink is available. A good place to stay if you want to visit the Treby Arms gastro pub just across the road.

Stayed just one night in this brilliant old Manor House lovingly restored with lots of character. The grounds are substantial with a golf course and pro-shop. The two guys running the place couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating. I will note the decor and fixtures/fittings are showing their age, however that's kind of the point in a historic country house, right?

Visited as guest at wedding, staff were lovely and friendly and setting/house was beautiful. Bar was fairly basic but what was on offer was all good quality and service perfect. Did not have chance to sample the food but didn't here any complaints and guests that did all seemed to enjoy it. Great venue.
