Stayed at this wonderful family run hotel on August 1st until 6th August. If you want a lovely atmosphere then this is the hotel for you. Beautiful rooms, amazing breakfast and wonderful helpful friendly staff. Always offered a coffee if we were sat out the front watching the world go by. So near to everything and will definitely be coming back in the future xxx.

Lovely family run hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Excellently presented and clean room with lovely modern chrome touches, such as USB plugs, light switches ect. High standards in the ensuite too, sanitised clean and again modern fitments through out. Beauitful white fluffy large towels and dressing gowns in this superior room.

The staff are fantastic, the food spot on. Extra touches fabulous and very Covid Safe.

We have just had a great break at the hotel. Staff where really friendly, and nothing was too much trouble, room was very clean and a nice size, breakfast was really nice and there was plenty of choice.

Been here a few times now, always lovely service, very helpful and friendly, gorgeous room, newly refurbished. Great food, location ideal for the hoe and central Plymouth, will definitely be back soon.

We had our wedding at the Invicta Hotel on the 20/02/2020. Situated opposite the registry office it was also a great location.
From our 1st visit we knew it was the place to hold our wedding reception.
Everyone is so friendly and Betty and all the staff work so hard to make it perfect.
The food was lovely the room was decorated beautiful and everything went to plan. The day was stress free and everyone said what a lovely day it was. Anybody looking for a wedding venue I would recommend here 100%

The Invicta is a really homely and comfortable hotel. The owners really care and want your stay to be enjoyable. Really good place to stay.

We’ve had an excellent stay at the Invicta’s hotel. Our room was newly renovated to a very high finish. Our bed was ginormous and extremely comfortable, with soft, fresh bed linen. The shower was to die for, hot, powerful and spacious and we were inundated with big white towels. Love a hotel with big towels! Haha. The TV in the room is better than the one we have at home, a brand new Samsung smart TV mounted on the wall, where you can access your Netflix, prime etc. Very useful. Over all the room was excellent. Very very pleased. The owner Roy was around doing bits around the hotel, a very friendly man who checked in with us at various times of our stay, and even told us. Little bit about the business and the building, a very nice personal touch. The lounge and restaurant and freshly renovated too. Very relaxing modern interiors with plenty of space to relax. A good alcohol selection at the bar and excellent service from the staff. Our food in the restaurant was lovely. My steak was melt in the mouth and the antipasti starter we had was the best we’ve ever sampled. Very generous and tasty. Our desserts were also divine. Our overall stay has been absolutely wonderful. The hotel is quite literally situated on top of
The hoe. 1 minute walk out the door and cross the road and you are on the hoe, slap bang right beneath the lighthouse! I could not fault our stay, thank you Invicta’s.

Lovely hotel, great owners and staff. Nothing is to much trouble, have stayed at hotel,
had monthly meetings and cream teas. My rating would be 5 star.

Had a lovely family meal yesterday lovely food service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble the staff was amazing. Thank you to you all for making my dad 80 th birthday special.

A Very nice hotel, The location is excellent, The staff are all so friendly and helpful … We arrived early so our room wasn't ready, but we were made comfortable in the lounge with a pot of tea and even our little dog recieved a welcome pack! The breakfast was delicious, We can highly recommend this hotel and will most definitely use Invicta Hotel again …

Hotel near the promenade, beautiful area, externally looks very good, internally it is "dated", in the room everything clean, there is nothing missing, nice TV, phon, air conditioning, set shower in the bathroom, hot drinks service to be done with the kettle, but a little the floor despite the carpet is noisy and you hear floor to floor the trampling. Fabulous cuisine and on this subject deserves five stars, my judgment is cumulative.

Nice clean hotel, friendly helpful staff, close to the Joe and Plymouth town center. Room was a good size. Decor was uninspiring but they provided everything you need. Would happily stay again.

The staff were excellent, as was the breakfast! The room was spacious enough for 2 1/2!

A warm welcome awaits you at the Invicta Hotel. Francis at the reception even offered & made me a pot of tea which was so nice after my 5 hour drive. After this he carried my case up to the room which was not expected! The room is neat but tastefully furnished & is spotlessly clean (see photos) including the ensuite. The duvets are hypoallergenic and the pillows are very comfy being soft/medium hollow fibre, Firm pillows are available on request. The dining area has been decorated to a high standard like everywhere & the choice of decor for the whole building makes the Invicta Hotel a chic place to stay. Dinner was 5* standard including the service. The owners took time to talk to me & it is clear that they are passionate about providing first class service in their hotel. Breakfast menu is extensive like the choice for dinner. For breakfast I chose the Eggs Benedict (See photo) this was cooked to order like all of the cooked offerings. It's was a perfect way to start your day after a comfy nights sleep. It was the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had! To summarise, a relaxing stay with special touches, beautifully cooked food & a warm welcome is what you will receive at the Invicta Hotel. I highly recommend a stay here & will return!

It was a little chilly on my visit and the rooms are tall making them difficult to get warm. The food was fine and well located on the Plymouth seafront.

Lovely clean rooms and friendly staff. One minute walk from The Hoe.

Its a amazing place to stay right on the hoe. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean the staff are very welcome. Plenty to pick for breakfast the cooked breakfast was lovely.

Clean modern rooms. Very comfortable. Would of been nice to have bottled water in the room and some glasses. The night Porter was very helpful and polite. My boyfriend was leaving the hotel before breakfast at 7.15 on a Sunday so the Porter arrange for him to have a bacon sandwich all wrapped in tinfoil to take with him. Now that's what you call services. We will be coming back again and recommending you to are family and friends.

A great place for your work/organisation/group function. We were looked after royally, then stayed in a spacious and comfortable room before tucking in to the best breakfast we have eaten for some time. Eggs cooked to perfection. Can't rate you highly enough. Well done and thank you.

Just woke up from a good night's sleep. Not often I write a review, but feel I have to praise this hotel. Warm welcome, with great staff who are tops in their game. Breakfast perfect. Stayed 3 nights to celebrate my lasses birthday. Love coming to Plymouth. Hotel is in a perfect position. Don't hesitate about staying here. Will stay again next visit. A great thank you to all. Historic hotel, great food and location.

Just a fantastic hotel, very clean and tidy, lots of space, super friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and (limited) parking around the back. Would definitely stay here again.

I was impressed with our room the bed was very comfortable breakfast was superb I have one complaint is no door hook at back of the room door to hang up our coats but that's all. I will come again.

Average hotel, had a lovely bathroom though! Could have done with hot chocolate at breakfast.

Meow… thump. Meow… thump. Barely enough room to swing a very small cat. Avoid the rooms (largish cupboards) on the third floor. Also avoid getting on the bad side of the hotel manager or any member of his charming family. Be prepared for a verbal stoush that will do your head in after a long drive if you do upset Roy in the slightest. Be aware that you will have to put up a damn good fight to get one of about a dozen car-park spaces out back of the hotel.

Nice room, free high speed Wi-Fi, nice staff at the desk and good price.

I stayed in this family Run hotel for 1 night whilst in Plymouth on business. I must say from arrival to leaving, all staff we're courteous and attentive and are a credit to the Invicta hotel. My single room on the top floor was clean and welcoming. The restaurant was pointed out to me but I didnt choose to eat in the Hotel in The evening and I'm afraid I may have missed out. The complementary breakfast was superb an definitely worth trying if you stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends and family. I look forward to staying here again should work bring me back to Plymouth. Thank you.

Quaint family run hotel in a brilliant location. Breakfasts were cooked to order and very nice even if the breakfast room feels a little cramped. The service was good, very personal but the hotel feels a little past it's best. The decor tired and the carpets somewhat worn. Cleanliness was acceptable considering the age of the bathroom. I understand that a family run business may struggle to make investment but I would have given higher marks if the price reflected better the condition of the rooms.

Very British. We took a room at the top floor. Very welcoming with a nice view. Very friendly and familiar staff.

Clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Convenient for some good restaurants. Free parking in small car park at the rear. Would stay again.

We cannot speak highly enough of the Invicta Hotel after enjoying a wonderful wedding reception there in July 2014. Betty and Roy the proprietors could not do enough for us during the arrangements prior to the big day which filled us with confidence, and we were certainly not let down. All the team did us proud; the wedding breakfast, where as much of the food as possible was locally sourced, was exceptional. Should you be planning a function we highly recommend you consider the Invicta Hotel.

We have stayed here for b&b several times on our visits to Plymouth. The hotel is right beside a corner of Plymouth Hoe. Spotlessly clean. Each time we have been provided with a good sized room with flatscreen cable tv. Good service. Good breakfasts. This hotel also has a bar, lounge and restaurant.
