Lovely food in a lovely location.

A beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. The staff were really friendly. And the food was exceptional. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

Went with my husband and friends yesterday to celebrate my birthday we all had the afternoon tea which we enjoyed and a complimentary glass of bucks fizz the staff where welcoming would love to go again soon.

Had a fabulous Boxing Day lunch today with the family. Brilliant service, perfect food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend.

My daughter and son in law chose Santos for their wedding venue. I can honestly say they could not have picked anything better. It was just perfect!
The staff were very friendly and approachable, extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble. The wedding breakfast was the best function /banquet meal I have ever had (and I’ve been to a few weddings in my time). The day ran like clockwork, organised to a tee. I know how hard the members of staff work having been in this industry my self many years ago. I was so impressed with the younger team members also, they have been trained in their job very well and were all so polite. A credit to the Hotel.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of staff with a special mention to Roma the manager, you made us so very welcome and even joined in with baby sitting duties of my grandson.
Christy and Nick (Mr and Mrs Drabble) had just “The Best Day ever” as did the other guests. Thank you all so very much for making their day even more special.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place for our wedding venue! Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff, you have all been absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Our bridal party stayed the night before, we had room service and the food was delicious! 😋 The rooms were lovely and clean, plenty of fresh towels and the cleaning staff were absolutely lovely and made a big fuss of our little boy when we saw them in the morning. Everyone was so welcoming and made us feel at home! The wedding itself ran smoothly and everything was so well organised, the food was outstanding — both the wedding breakfast and the evening food, so many of our guests commented on the high standard of the food. We will definitely be back to the restaurant for meals in the future! All the staff we met were so polite and professional, but lovely and easy going to have a laugh with too. They definitely made our stay! We want to say a huge thank you to Roma the hotel manager, you have been absolutely outstanding — from holding and making a big fuss of our baby boy so we could eat our breakfast the following morning, to making sure that everything was perfect for our special day. We can’t thank you all enough! A big thank you to Santo too for allowing us to use his beautiful garden for our wedding photos. Again thank you so much for everything and we will definitely be back in the future 🥰

I visited the hotel for a few days with my daughter and her baby, inviting some guests to lunch with us on one of our days there. I just want to say what a lovely stay we enjoyed at your hotel. The staff were very efficient yet friendly and extremely accommodating and dealt with us and the baby extremely well. The Covid restrictions were secure but not over-obtrusive. It was delightful! A lovely hotel and we’ll definitely make it our centre in future when visiting the area. Thank you to all staff for a wonderful welcome and a great few days!

My husband and I have just returned from a short break at Santos’s Higham Farm Hotel. From the minute we arrived all the staff were very professional, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. Room was spotless clean and bed was comfortable and slept very well. The meals were amazing and piping hot. The breakfast was of high quality ingredients and was fantastic. Loved the decor of hotel was in keeping with the building and had homely feel. The terrace was fantastic being able to look across the valley. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit we’ve booked again to celebrate the New Year.

We picked up a takeaway today from Higham Farm for the family. Beautiful food, massive portion sizes and such helpful staff at the restaurant. We would definitely recommend Higham Farm for lovely eat in meals and also take aways.

I could not have chosen a better place to have held my wedding! The food was incredible, the venue blew our guests away, but, the biggest thing for us, is that the staff were just (there isn’t a word that best describes them! ) nothing was too much trouble for anyone, and they were all down to have a laugh about everything! Brett — performance is every thing my dear!
Santo, Roma, Kate, and the rest of the amazing team — we cannot thank you enough for everything that you did for us, and to make our day so special!

Lovely quiet and relaxing place to be, we had the afternoon tea which was really nice and quite filling, would recommend going.

New Years Eve celebration. Great meal and entertainment including disco and a little gambling on the roulette wheel. Well organised and staff very attentive. Will certainly recommend and be visiting again.

Five course Xmas lunch was amazing, can’t recommend the place enough, staff was fantastic so impressed with how organised it was. Very impressed! Will be back next year.

We just had a 60th surprise party here for my uncle I’ve never been before and it was a stunning place lovely inside and the staff was helpful if needed
The rooms I was told was lovely also from a family member staying over the night and was more than happy Food was brilliant also, would I go back most definitely 10/10 from me.

Wow! Wow! Wow! We had our wedding reception here. From the moment we visited to check out the venue, to the moment we left on the morning after the reception, we found the staff to be incredible. They are so warm and welcoming and could not do enough for us! We filled the rooms with guests from near and far and every single one of them couldn't speak more highly about the rooms, the venue and the hospitality from the staff. It was second to none. We would HIGHLY recommend this place. The location and setting is excellent. A special thank to Santo, Roma, Kerry and Vanessa. What lovely people, we will look forward to returning. 5/5 FANTASTIC! Just home after enjoying wedding celebrations yesterday and can honestly say we thoroughly enjoyed every minute. From arriving to leaving we felt well looked after by every single member of staff. Room was lovely and very quirky (8) court yard is beautiful, food was outstanding. Would certainly recommend and hopefully make return visit. Many thanks for the warm welcome and making our stay so enjoyable.

60th Diamond anniversary lunch for 11. Superb service, food and location and Santos was extremely helpful in ecommending and organising the menu which we asked to be kept to a set price per head. The selection was excellent and catered for all tastes. When we asked for one person's vegetables be cooked longer, teeth problems, this was undertaken quickly and with little fuss. I have no hesitation in recommending this location and would like to thank all staff on behalf of my parents. The setting and service made it a special day for them.

Santos is quite unique… it is a restaurant, wedding venue, hotel etc. Family have enjoyed a number of weddings here, we've been for Sunday dinner as well as afternoon tea and have enjoyed the experience.

Superb service, amazing food, super selection of beers and Highly recommended. We celebrated my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary today. There were just under 50 people in out party and everything went swimmingly.

This is a place I stay in often. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are good and some are quite special. It overlooks the Amber Valley and there are great views from the far end of the hotel carpark and a good walk if you go down there.

Had a lovely meal in a real ye olde pub, atmosphere was perfect, the meals were generous and used local produce, would recommend it to anyone.

We have quarterly meetings at this hotel. It has a lovely view and we go repeatedly as it is cost effective.

We have our work Christmas party here every year and it's always a great time. Staff are always polite and accommodating.

This is a fantastic hotel with old world charm, the staff are friendly and make you feel welcome from the time you walk through the main entrance. It has stunning views and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable.

Came to Santo's Higham Farm Hotel with my partner on 22/09/17 for a romantic weekend away for our 1st year Anniversary of being together and our birthdays (25th &26th). We were welcomed by Santo himself and showed to our room. From that very moment, I knew I had booked a proper good hotel. All the staff were excellent over the whole stay. (Even the builders doing the elevator works). The room was wonderful and the only bad point was the ceramic tiled floor in the disabled wet room. This was brought to the staffs attention, as it could be dangerous for other patrons (disabled or not). Other than that, the whole stay was excellent. The a la carte restaurant is full of wonderfully cooked, served and priced food, and the waiting staff are possibly the best I have ever known. Value wise, you pay more for a night in a Travel lodge or Premier Inn than at Santo's and to the big groups you're just another number, whereas here you are treated with manners and respect.
We will be back very soon indeed and we will become regular guests.

Not the place for you if you want minimalist and sleek. The place for you if you want friendly, comfortable, and a little bit quirky.
Good sized, well appointed room with the bonus of a big bathtub to soak in.

Been coming here with work every two months for about 10 years now, great location, rooms and scenery. Good food and service too, great value.

Myself, my partner and my partners mother went to santos today, 19/02/12, for sunday dinner. Myself and my partner chose the grilled haddock which was disgusting it tasted very bland and I think it had been in a freezer for ten years, the roast potatoes where that hard you needed a circular saw to cut them and I think they where aunt bessies frozen ones has was the vegetables which where only hot because they had just come out of a microwave. My partners mother couldnt chew her beef because it was so tough and she had to leave it. We also didnt like the two waitresses standing two yards away watching us whilst we ate our so called food. We booked in the name of beniston if anyone from santos reads this.
