We stayed here overnight with our dog Arty. Very good welcome even though they were very busy. The room was spotless and beds were very comfortable.
There was a lack of plug sockets but we managed fine.
We ate dinner and it was fine for the price.
Breakfast was delicious and I liked the fact they ask you what time you were eating, this reflected the freshness.
Staff were excellent and we would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay, friendly staff, great breakfast.

Don’t advertise being dog friendly when you’re not. I feel it’s a way to get customers. We felt ‘watched’ during our bar meal for the entire time. Definitely did not feel our dogs were welcome.

Always a great warm and friendly service from management to staff. Great atmosphere, and happy hr on a Friday night is just great.

Must mention the Board Hotel in Hawes where we hold our weekly knitting and crafts afternoon. They made us an amazing Christmas afternoon tea. All dietary requirements were fulfilled for vegans, gluten free and the ordinary ones. Awesome. Unfortunately we all forgot to take a pic but believe me I was inspired. Many thanks to all at The Board and wish you a Happy and busy Christmas.

Great pub lunch, very generous portions. I had a huge Cumberland sausage in yorkshire pudding with chips and peas. My wife had steak and ale pie chips and peas. They both had a large portion of delicious red cabbage. My pint of Timothy Taylor Landlord was in excellent condition.
I can recommend the Board Inn and well behaved dogs seem to be made welcome.

Had to wait over an hour for food. We were in front of out friends we ordered and paid and they came back as ordered just after us and bar had told them it was an 24hr and a half wait for food so they didn't order and nipped over the road for a chippy. We were stuck having already paid… not happy.

Excellent quality for the low price. Friendly staff and cosy separate eating area.

BOARD INN or FAULTY TOWERS We called in for a light lunch on a Saturday. It was busy but we found a seat for four of us. Then went to order. On enquiring what tea was available the Barman (owner) said PG Tips. Seriously? PG Tips in the heart of Yorkshire? It should be Yorkshire Tea, I know that may be subjective. So ordered Latte Coffee to which the grump was " Rather you ordered Tea" Also ordered Cheese Toasties with Pickle now what can be complicated about that? Well it took nearly an hour to get our food. It came with a nice side salad but with a small bowl of pickle, which should have been in the toastie. Nevertheless the toastie had a distinct lack of cheese. Bit surprising considering this is a Cheese producing area. We appreciate it was busy and we were prepared for a reasonable wait, but nearly an hour. What would have been better would have been if we were informed of a likely delay (In fact he did start telling visitors that they may have a long delay) but it appeared to be run on a shoestring staff, on a busy weekend. The food waitress was a bubbly happy character and very attentive, so not all bad.

The pies we had for lunch were superb; friendly waiting and bar staff, we loved the place!

Friendly staff dog friendly big portions of food clean and light will most definitely be going in the board Inn on our next visit to Hawes.

A very friendly and welcoming bar with very friendly staff well worth a visit.

Not really fair to judge the establishment based on our visit because it was just about to close for refurbishment, hence no hand-pulled beers available although normally 4 are on offer. Similarly the walls looked like they had been stripped ready for decorating so can't really comment on that.

Had a three day break here lovely place rooms spotless very nice people made us feel at home would definitely recommend.

This pub is absolutely fine, priced as most are in the area, beer was kept well and service was good. However, there are others in the area with a bit more atmosphere which I'd likely go as a first choice.

We were a party of 9 and had the most amazing, funny night. Staff and locals we all very friendly, all made us feel very welcome… I was first at this pub back in the 70's whilst on holiday with our parents, been back many many times over the years … just love it.

Lovely fresh, tasty, meal eaten whilst we sat by a log fire, the rain pouring down outside. Cosy, and very friendly staff. Clean, attractive and great atmosphere. I am planning to go again.

Nice town pub with great beers on tap. Classic bar games available too. Very friendly service.

A really Fab place to stay, doggy friendly. The breakfast was delicious, evening meals were good down to earth Yorkshire fare. The only down side is there is no car park just general parking out front, we tried twice to get parked early eve but by the time we went and got the car someone had taken the space, in the end my husband got up at 6.30am and moved the car into a spare space. Apart from that a very good place to stay.

Arrived in Hawes, with no concrete plan, or advance booking. Tried a few places on the street. The Inn was head and shoulders above others — open, businesslike, good atmosphere and decor. We got a nice room, with two large corner windows overlooking the street. We had a v tasty dinner there too.

Popped in for a meal and drink. Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff. Beer choice very good.
The meal was really good. Cumberland Sausage in Yorkshire Pudding with veg, chips and gravy. A good sized portion, hot and very tasty

Myself and my class of young people who have sever learning difficulties visited this pub for lunch today. What a warm, welcoming, understanding establishment. The staff were fantastic and made us all feel very welcome, comfortable and not at all rushed. The food was very enjoyable with very large portions and reasonable price. Thank you for making our day that much more enjoyable.

Stayed here for 2 nights. A mouse nibbled through the cable on my phone charger which was plugged in a socket in the bedroom.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room 5 lovely double bed with bathroom (a bath). Was great after long day walking. Really friendly helpful staff. Happy to reserve table for us to eat there as well. Basic pub food menu, but thoroughly enjoyed each meal. Roaring log fire to beat off the chills from the hills was also a great addition.

Really good rooms at reasonable prices. The owners were awesome — we booked to go back as we were leaving.

Nice pub, very friendly bar staff Recommend the happy hour on Friday night (£2.50 per pint) as Hawes is expensive being a tourist destination! Popular with diners, dog friendly.

Food was OK, beer was OK (needs more Theakston's on tap — no OP! ) but the staff were absolutely amazing. Friendly, accommodating, hilarious, understanding, communicative, really brilliant.

Nice dog friendly pub that seems to be a favourite of the locals. Plenty of tables outside next to the road. Serves 2 or 3 real ales plus normal drinks.

A number of cask ales available, which were served well and in good condition. Bar staff friendly. Outside seating next to Hawes high street.

Great food and fantastic beer can't wait to get back for a visit.
