We stayed here last sat to mon and we really enjoyed it. Very dog friendly and accommodating! staff were nice and hotel in general very clean. Breakfast was nice but only slight improvement that could be made is we felt like we were constantly asking for more milk, butter etc as what was on the table was not substantial for 3 people. Also the shower was lovely but too low down, you are ok if you are less than 5 ft tall but we couldn't stand up fully underneath it

This is the best hotel you'll ever visit. The hospitality, service and food is of the highest standard. Could not be happier.

We had a meal last night, the atmosphere, Service, menu, glassware (glasses is my thing) decor and team were perfection! Very Covid safe too. The wine list is perfect, Sardinian Vermentino is our favourite! Our food was perfection, all local produce, the chef baked the bread and is a pastry chef too so the tart tartin was simply to die for. I will be dreaming of the tagliatelle for for while … The chef and owner greeting us and checking throughout the night was a lovely touch. My husband was given multiple options for his digestif drink by the Manager, who is patient and professional. We had a lovely time, great value, classy, friendly service and atmosphere.

Simply outstanding food and service. Very difficult to create the atmosphere felt like Home after a couple of hours. Wonderful place treated our children amazingly well. Great job Charles and team.

Called in for a drink and scone, £6.50 for a small cappucino and 200ml bottle of coke. Sent the scones back as they looked like a small biscuit (burnt on the bottom) with a tiny bit of cream and small pot of jam between two. Vfm score — 1

We only stayed one night after a day at the Forbidden Corner, but it was excellent — staff just couldn't — do enough for us — felt very safe in these difficult times with plenty of measures taken to ensure our safety — food was very very nice, lovely breakfast — old man in element with Black Sheep Special — excellent location — well worth a visit Thanks to all at the hotel for our stay.

We stayed at the wenslydale hotel in Sept, the rooms are beautifully decorated, the food was amazing, and the owners make you feel very welcome, would defiantly stay again.

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Wensleydale Farmhouse. Every aspect of our stay was given the utmost care and attention by our lovely hosts Bruce and Sheila: From advising us on which taxi firms would be most likely to do a run from Northallerton, the delightful rooms (with a spectacular view of Wensleydale), advising us on local walks and landmarks to the fantastic breakfast (ranging from homemade granola to a mouth-watering French Toast). We will definitely be back.

Great little guest house with the most wonderful hosts. Room's are beautifully decorated, clean and have a great ensuite. Breakfast was amazing. Sheila & Bruce who own and run the guest are very helpful and knowledgeable with regards to the area and made are stay this weekend one to remember. Thank you.
